I dig this series.

Really struggling with this one. Been 2 weeks and this is as far as I've gotten. The concepts are cool, unique and innovative, but the writing style is not for me. Oh, that and there are so many sentences missing words. Poor editing.

Brings back memories.

Sometimes you just pick the wrong book and love your mojo. The question is do you keep reading or shelve if for another?

Plenty of facts and a very detailed history of pirate life, but good LORD this is sooooooo boring.

Yawn... and I love history.

4 chapters into this and we still haven't really gotten to the pirate part yet....

Guess I'll try to stomach my way through this....

It says scary on the cover but I'm waiting for that part I guess. Messed up story though. The author clearly put a lot of research in.

Since I started reediting my books I haven't read anything......ugh....not cool.

When you boil it down, the main character is actually pretty ruthless. I figure he has to have killed well over 1000 people by this point.

I generally love anything in this series, but now I am noticing things differently. Might be the last book I read as well. He spends about 100 pages reminding us that things are going to get bad.... I mean, isn't that the whole point?

Starting to see some conveniently placed plot devices that show a lack of laziness.

Interesting turns in this one.
