I'm beginning to remember why I stopped reading this one last time. It starts with an interesting premise and just kind of wanders from there. There's not enough focus which makes it a little tedious at times. However, there's some good stuff here, stuff that I find interesting, so I'm going to try to push through...

I forgot how cute Bartolo is...

I tried reading this one about a year ago but only managed to make it to the 50% mark. I'm giving it another go, only this time on audio...and I'm skipping the massive info dump sections because ain't nobody got time for that (nobody=me).

Why don't I like 90% of the female protagonists in books like this? Strength is not running away, it's stepping up. Change the world, don't hide from it. Gah.

I'm not sure how I feel about any of these characters but I know for certain that I hate all of the townspeople...

"Yeah, well there are better things to be upset about than someone being nice to you, " Reese said...

Wh...wh...what is this?? I almost fell out of my chair ducking the lightning.

Well, isn't that interesting? I hadn't thought about that at all....

I've decided to take the plunge, crappy narrator included, because I want to see how this plays out.

It feels like this has been going on for such a long time, but really it didn't take long for civilization to break down with the crazies running the show. However, this is getting to be a little rinse and repeat. Though I did love the fountain scene, I'm still waiting for something different to happen.

This book is making me so thirsty and hungry.

Made it through a chunk today. It seems a little slow but sometimes slow is okay. We'll see...

Reese and the guys just made it to Mars. A change of scenery. Let's see what's in store!

Hmmm. Not a whole lot is happening, other than the people of the world going batshit.

-ish. Not totally sure. It's pretty good so far, even with Batman reading it to me. I love a good crew of misfits and oddballs :)

He sure likes using mob mentality. I just hope it's aliens this time (I always hope it's aliens)! **fingers crossed**

This will be slow going 'cause lord knows I'm not a fan of this narrator. However, hopefully I will be a fan of the story and characters. There seems to be potential here. We shall see!

I'm actually enjoying this, though it is taking me a while to get through. I love Marci and Justin (I am secretly shipping them <3) and I think it is funny that Marci is such a fan girl :)

Starting this one again in an attempt to a) finish this book once and for all and b) participate in a BR.

This time I have a secret weapon.
