Hmmm...for a short book it's a little slow.

He knew what she was offering. Everything. It lingered in her heated gaze, in the gentle way she traced the half-open collar of his shirt. Ingrid knew exactly what she wanted, and she was determined to get it.

Listening to the audio. So far, so good. I'm liking the narrator and that usually makes all the difference in the world.

Oh my gosh, this book. Jack is grating at best and the rest is just silly. Now say pentangle one more time...

This is working perfectly as a palate cleanser :)

I really meant to read more of this last night....but Slime Ranchers, y'all.

On one hand, I feel bad for Jack. Really, I do. On the other hand, the more I listen to this story the less I like him.

I'm trying this one again but there's already a lot of eye rolling on my part...how is asking like 2 questions challenging you more intellectually than you've ever been challenged before? If that's the case then your instructors should be ashamed...

What gave it away? That you work for him basically for free? That you're educated and well above the work he hired you for, but all he cares about is that you have nice legs and a great phone voice?

Good. He should have totally been called out on that. I would have been upset had the author let it slide...

Still really enjoying this audio.

After much flip-flopping between audiobooks I think I found a keeper. I feel like I'm being told a story by this guy. I like it.

Ehhh, yeah. His calling her "Baby" is really getting on my nerves. I sometimes hate that endearment. I'm thinking this one is a no go for me.

So, I'm giving this one last shot. The audio version this time (because that can make a difference.) I really want to see what others have seen. I want to be a part of "that" crowd. Unfortunately, it may not be meant to be....we'll see....if it doesn't work this time I think I may permanently throw in the towel.
