The last book ended on a cliffhanger and we pick right back up. So much trauma Binti has suffered and now we’re really unpacking the generational aspect of it.

Checked this audio book out of the library. Figured it would be a good pride listen. The lives of two closeted men in McCarthy era Washington. The prologue gave us a clue that this of course isn’t a happy ending.

So we had to give Binti some hard truths. Much like she is referred to as Tribe these folks are The Desert People. Tut tut, Binti.

I guess humans always want to think of them selves as better than someone. But you’d think the treatment they receive would have them think twice about their beliefs of uncivilized people.
