Oooo. This is the first out right mention of a character being gay. *Gasp* but I sure will know a lot of Yokai after this. I’ve already had to look up a few.

Oh we’re dabbling in all the arts and religions here. Okay. Staying true to the culture it is Yokai haunting this place. I’m excited.

Ooooo. Bringing up religion. I wasn’t fully expecting this element but I’m curious to see how this continues.

We finish the Illiad through this podcast. It’s funny how these men will translate some of the gayest lines and follo it with a no homo. Like you basically just said they were madly in love. Dont and they were roommates these men.

I was “sold” this book as gay samurai save the day from super natural beings. There is also a sequel that came out last year. So far it seems it might be enemy’s to lovers or at least, rival clans.

The ending of this book is such a nice sweet ending. Everything ties together into this happy ending. Enough comedy to keep it funny, but enough meaning to give you something to think about.

There is low hanging fruit on the comedy vine grabbed in this book, but it brings light to the more morbid tale. Also, Death of Rats has to be the best side character ever written.

Okay I like Poons a bit more now. And at least he cuts to Bill at a tense moment too.

This book doesn’t have chapters, but he really knows how to edge you. Cutting back to this buggy and shopping mall thing just as Bill Door is kicking names and taking ass.

The Wizards/Windle Poons story line is turning into something rather odd. The creation of shopping malls. Vonder Vat Mr Pratchet has to say about this as Doreen would say. Vould say*

This plot line isn’t making sense. I’m not sure if I’m missing the joke yet or we’re still building to a punchline. Or maybe this is just b plot that is more for character development than sense?

The comedy on this writing is just thought provoking enough. Some of it is low hanging fruit. Some it clicks as you read a little further.

How dare you make me care about a child. Then just cut to black. But good for Miss Flitworth.

Death Becomes Her. Or something like that. There’s a lovely support group of “the undead” but they’re all contradictions. It’s amazing. We get more of Bill Door and Miss Flitwick. Really found a rhythm after we left the wizards.

Good Old Bill. One would never expect Death to be an upstanding citizen. However, we are getting into the story of a Medium, verging on small, Mrs. Cake that I’m starting to adore. Her dogther Ludmilla… is taking some warming up to.

So now there are two separate wizard stories going on because the Alive wizards are one place and Poons is another. Ugh! (Don’t take my bemoaning as not enjoying the book. I just wanna read more about Death.)

Mr. Bill Door

See this is why this book didn’t need to drone on for pages about some silly Poons.

Being undead in this series is a lot better than most. Sure you have to manually process a lot of things in your body but super strength and clear headedness can be OP.

How unrealistic. If a zombie were in Las Vegas they would be welcomed just as quickly as others despite their looks.

Slow progress, but slow and steady wins the race. But seriously, why do I need to hear about this Poons being undead. I want to know about all this Time Death has.

A bit of a short read tonight. For a book about death I’m not sure why there’s all this wizard nonsense.

I really enjoy how Terry Pratchett writes Death’s dialog.

Wow he really just starts this book. But we’re cracking jokes which is nice.

Okay. That’s a little more like it. And now we’re on to Sunday - the first day of the rest of their lives.

That was the final conflict? Huh. Wasn’t very flashy.

I’m already tired of this old man. Just shut up already. No one cares.

The Them are definitely not my favorite group to follow. However, Dog definitely sways it in their favor. We’re getting close to the end, but what the Below just happened there? Did he exorcise himself?
