Shaping up to be my fav of the 3 by a fair distance. I still miss some of the character dynamics from book 1 though

Massive difference in how much better the start of this book is compared to Golden Son

In hindsight, reading a malazan book in the middle of writing my ma thesis wasn't a very good idea

My slowest read since the last Zan book, though having fun w it. Reading Zan just takes extra brainpower, and most of my brainpower is spent on my thesis rn. Don't have a lot of spare.
