Despite my issues with the voice of the narrative, this is a pretty great book

Pretty great, but the narrative voice (main character telling the story as it happpened in her past to an unknown audience + letters of a side character) keeps taking me out of it.

Love it when Buehlman's horror writing shines through. The juggernaut and the Goblin horde are fucking terrifying

Loving the sombre tone

Half the stories are kinda okay, 2 or 3 of them are really touching and well written, and then there's 1 that's racist to traveling/roma people in 5 or 6 different ways. I remembered this book to be better than this (i'd have thought upper half RA), but also I barely remember any of it at all. Def a bottom 3 RA book sadly

Still great writing and characters but im not a fan of how 2 huge plot points randomly fell out of the air

A bit of a lull around the middle point of the story

The first 50 pages had me a little puzzled but the next 50 got me hooked
