Misplaced this book for a little bit. So far an ok book, but starts fairly slow. I keep waiting for something to happen other than the Colonel driving his family around in the Edsel. If the rest of the book is this slow I will not bother with the next books in the series.

This has been a good space opera from an indy author that I like reading. Good space battle action, with little enough romance so that I do not furiously flip through pages attempting to get past the mushy shit.

I have enjoyed reading this series. Another series from a indy author that I enjoy.

Ok, another indy book recommended by Amazon that is actually something I am enjoying after that horrid romance novel I got suckered into reading. Yea, Marines smashing stuff and shooting everything that moves - comfortable ground where no one is going to discuss their feelings or wonder how the strange alien thing they just turned to goo felt about them kicking the door in.

Still can't believe what this woman went through in her brief time in the porn industry.

I expected to read this book in disgust, expecting to read the story of a drug-addled sexual deviant. Instead most of what I feel is pity for this poor woman who found herself in such a horrible situation.

Interesting book. The part about sexual alchemy creeped me out. I am sorry but sex and acupuncture needles do not mix.

Interesting and sad reading of a young, naive woman's descent into abuse and slavery.

So far I am really enjoying this story. I like how the author treats the relationship between the protagonist and his young girlfriend, I was expecting it to be creepy, and sorta-Lolita-ish, but the author has treated the relationship with care.

This has been a great story with a dry witted sarcastic hero. I hope the book remains this good, I might have found another series that I want to read.

As a young, very naive man in the early years of a military career, Deepthroat was one of the first porno movies that I saw. A virgin, until my shipmates took me to the infamous Zona Norte in Tijuana, Mexico; I did not know that such sexual practices were even possible let alone that someone would either do them or even enjoy them.

Amazon recommended this book to me since I like Eric Lustbader's Ninja series. An unexpected but pleasant discovery of another author whose work centered around Asian themes. For once Amazon got it correct - I have so far enjoyed this book. I love the sarcasm and dry wit of Randall Lee.

Since my work schedule change, my reading has dropped a bit. I am going to have to dedicate some time at home for reading.

Still a good read and I am enjoying the interplay between the characters.

I am surprised at how much I am enjoying this book. Goes to show that you never know what a book is like until you stick your nose in it.

If my wife had not recommended this book to me, I never would have touched it. Outside of my usual reading genres, but I am glad that I have found this book. Not sure that I will read more from this author.

My wife suggested this book to me after she listened to the audio version. So far so good, lets see how it progresses.

Picked this one up from my local library to see if it was a book to add to our home library research book collection.

This book started somewhat slow, but has gotten much better now. More of a cerebral detective story than an action-filled one. Nice to read a book from a local author who describes familiar places I see almost daily.

I have enjoyed all of the Hollows books, but for me the characters I like best are not the main ones. I like Bix the pigeon-eating gargoyle, and Jinks the pixie more than Rachel the witch.

Author has settled into this story, and the plot is moving along nicely. I see a possible romantic entanglement, but this author has surprised me before.

Another good start of a new series from this author. I enjoyed the Helfort series, and hoped this series would be as good. So far not disappointed at all.

Throughout this whole series I always thought Rachel was a bit of a tragic character and not one that I particularly warmed to. I always loved Jinx, and now Bix the guardian gargoyle.

Started a bit slow, but has gotten better now that people are dying and things are moving along. A decent read so far, but not one that I think that I will purchase on my own.

I've enjoyed some of this author's other books so I figured give this series a shot as well.

I enjoy a good well-written cop story. This book sounded interesting when I picked it up in the library withdrawn pile of books.

Nice to see Coastie is still part of the Trident team. I like that in the last two books, Coughlin has brought back some characters from earlier books.

Throughout all of these books, this is the first time that Mercer has bothered with a condom for sex. I wonder if it is because his partner this time is a black woman from Africa, or did the author just not bother explaining that Mercer always practices safe sex. Since Mercer has a new girlfriend every book, it will be interesting to see what happens in the next book.
