Really good action, and suspense in the ass hole part of Africa. Never been to that particular part of Africa, but that whole coast is a morass of human suffering. Hard to find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than Eritrea.

I wish I was as mature as Jackson when I was that age. It is good that Anna found Jackson and that he is a true friend with maturity beyond his years.

Another from outside my usual reading genres. Not what I expected so far. Jumps right in.

Well Aggie and Mercer are done for now; it will be interesting to see if they get together again. Now Mercer has the hots for this black lady from the Mossad.

I figured that Aggie and Mercer would not remain together, but I wonder if she will reappear in his life. Some neat history links in this books to the old Reagan-era Star Wars program.

So Delara still works for Lady Pat. Delara's relationship with Kyle might be over, but I wonder if she still loves him. I know that Kyle has not been chaste since their breakup, I wonder if Delara has a new man (or men) in her life. Good action, and some impressive display of creativity in a shitty situation.

This sounded like an interesting book. I picked it up at the local library book sale for a stupid price and figured what the heck. So far so good. As a Yankee who served many years in the deep south, I understand how the hero feels deep in the heart of Dixie.

I heard about these books from some recommendations on another board. I am glad that I did not succumb to temptation and order this book from Amazon. The book is barely ok, but I am not going to read another by this author.

This book starts off about three years after the end of the previous book. Good so far.

Well finally got an inkling of what might have happened to the girlfriends from the previous books. It seems that all of the previous relationships have fallen apart due to the nature of Swanson's military job. Makes sense as that is a fate that many relationships in the military, which puts unusual strain on a relationship.

This book starts up right where the previous book ended. No 20 year difference in time.

Good action and some surprising twists to the story.

Gray has found another lover, I wonder if this one will stick or if they will part as has his other lovers. I wonder if the ex wife survives still.

So going through this one fairly fast as well. New book, new woman, I wonder why this is going to be a pattern in so many of the books I read lately.

Ripping through this one fairly quick. Good story set about 20 years after the last book. Nice to see some familiar characters from the previous books. Wonder what the status is of Sandy's exwife?

Picked this up on Amazon's recommendation. Decided to break my SciFi fast and dive into a few books. This one is pretty good with some good action, decent story line and interesting characters that you can empathize with.

So far Kyle gets a new woman every book. Sherri in the first book, Sybelle in the second, Delara in the third, and now this new CIA lady in the fourth book. Not quite the misogynist like 007 who goes through women like facial tissue, but I wonder if this pattern continues in the following books.

This starts out well. Good action but I just found my first gun error. Drives me crazy that authors can't or wont take the time to get a SME who would have pointed out the error.

The story is moving along well. Swanson is up to his usual tricks, being a force to reckon with in the field. The combat in these books is well described, but not so gear geeked out that the story suffers. Some minor mistakes that the editor nor spell checker caught, but a good story.

Good action and I like how the characters interact. Sometimes we find ourselves attached to people that we never considered. I also like how family is not necessarily defined as being only blood-related.

I am enjoying this book a lot. I know that this book is compared often to "The Forever War" which I did not like as much as this book. The twists are good, and I enjoy the interplay between the characters. The battles are short, brutal and imaginative. I will definately read the other books in this series.

Some very good military action, with some humor and sadness thrown in. I also like how the author kept the characters humanity even though they are doing inhuman things. The twist with the reincarnated wife was unexpected - it will be interesting to see how that plays out.
