I really have to be in the mood for the books by this author. Heavily political, and sometimes very long-winded, but the action is crisp.

Not the worst holiday-inspired romance I've read so far. Not bad, but these stories could be placed just about any time or place. Wash, rinse and repeat. Not much creativity, but I don't believe the authors were trying to write something life changing and more memorable than something to pass the time.

The pictures in this book are absolutely gorgeous. The book is almost good enough as a coffee table book just for the pictures. A good book to flip through and suffer yard envy, but all I hear is "ching. ching" of money. To pay someone to build the stone walls, cairns, and patios featured in this book must cost some serious coin. Way outside of my meager means.

And yet another holiday novella I'm going to tear through. Might have to up my numbers again at this rate.

I really don't care for either character in this romance. The sex is meh. I hope it gets better.

Another PNR that I will rip through in less than an hour. I've read one of the Dot Com Wolves books before and found it meh. Looks like this novella is about the same.

I enjoy these Moore books, I hope that the author writes more. A little disappointed this book is so short. I think that the fight with the Nephilim and the other angle could have started in the previous book and then finished in this one. From the previous book, I didn't like how quick and tidy the Nephilim was suddenly a f&$k buddy. I also disliked how quickly the fight with the other angel went.

Another thankfully short erotic romance novella. Although this one reads more like spank material rather than a romance with hotter than usual sex scenes. Supposedly too hot for Amazon? Other than the borderline age of consent issue, the sex so far is not the dirtiest nor the most hard core that I have read on Amazon.

Alright so I get the gist of this book which coincidentally is very similar to one that I read just a while ago.

I had forgotten that I like the second book of the first ninja trilogy better. The Miko has less politics and more ninja badassdom.

OK so this is not quite the novella I was expecting. Another eye-rolling romance I received for free in exchange for a review.

I am slowly working my way through this compilation of Space Opera short stories. I have to be in the correct mood for this kind of reading.

I forgot how brutal the beginning of this book is.

I have always been interested in the women performers of porn. More from the psychological aspect than the prurient. What drives a woman to join the porn industry? This book has some older women, but not quite the "grand dames" (open to debate of course) of early porn. The cocaine-fueled '80s porn is so different from the direct-to-consumer bespoke porn tearing up the internet channels today. Nice change in reading.

Thank God that I got this supposed "spank material" free. I enjoy some good male-dominant and even light BDSM (despite the horrors of 50 Shades of Puke), but this isn't it. So far a resounding - meh.

As typical of this author's books, lots of politics and other wranglings to make Machiavelli proud before the action starts. Once pulser darts start flying, buildings blow up with nukes, and the dogs of war are let loose, Torc of Freedom picks up remarkably. If you can slog through all of the politics, the action is worth it.

Better have a strong stomach if you are going to read this book. The part with the Chicago meat packers will put someone off commercial beef for a bit.

So sick of the damned romances. Give me death, destruction and mayhem on a Space Opera scale. Tired of the damned mushy IQ-lowering romantic drivel I've been slogging through. Time for a break.

Time for something a little more brain stimulating than the IQ-killing romances that I am about sick of.

OK, silly premise that obviously makes this book more fantasy or women's erotic reading with a Christmas veneer. I do like the fact that the woman is not some meatless stick, but a real women with curves.
