I had a chance to speak with the author before he published this book. I wish that I had been chosen as the editor, but the author went with another book producer. I'm interested in reading this book mainly to see if I like the story, and to garner an idea of the value of the military editing.

Rather disappointed with the brevity of this book - more novella rather than novel.

If it had not been for my friend Iori who recommended this book to me I never would have touched it. As it was I started reading holding my nose sure this book was going to be complete and utter drek. Much to my surprise it is actually a pretty good book despite its preposterous name. Not enough violence and smashing things and a little too much drama and angst, but otherwise decent.

I have to admit that this is one of the better country romance novels I have read. Great flawed characters, but not so much drama you could choke a horse with. Rather tender romantic moments and enough goofiness from the MC to keep me reading. Still, if I had not received this book for free, I would not be reading it.

If a friend whom I trust and has not steered me wrong (thanks Iori), I never would have even glanced at this stupid-sounding book. Reading the title alone had me SMDH. I would have missed out on a (so far) decent female-centric SciFi. Not quite sure this qualifies as Space Opera, I'll need to read some more.

Got this one for free in exchange for a review. Probably would have ignored it if it hadn't come with a nice note asking me sweetly for a review. Not bad, I've certainly read worse. Great dialogue.

I enjoy books about food history. I wasn't sure if I would like this book or not, but it has been fairly good despite some disgusting parts. Not sure if I want to add this book to my personal library yet or not.

I enjoy books about the history of food. I've watched the author's Meat Eater on Netflix. I like the fact he eats everything he shoots, even things that I would not believe would taste good.

I was concerned when I started reading this book. If you read some of the author's other works, the plot and story arc are very similar. I would have liked to see the author change such small details such as the name of the primary wife (first mate), marriage symbolism (ankle bracelet, ring or collar), and how the dude just falls into his women. I hope the other books have some more variety.

I am surprised (or the authors didn't think of it during developmental editing) that with all of the advanced tech improved field rations for the "super soldiers" have not been discussed. Soldiers with such a high metabolism would carry glucose packages, condensed high-calorie rations, but the water requirement I bet is also high. Proof the problems of the "super soldier" not being that great of a deal or worth it.

This is a thick book. I am into the third story which is finally from an author that I enjoy. I've always enjoyed the Legion of the Damned series by Dietz. I hope that Dietz writes more Legion books. I enjoyed the Legion books set in the early days of the Legion when cyborgs were just entering service as much as I enjoyed the other nine books of the "main" series.

It took me a while to get into this book as it started really slow. I also needed to be in the mood for these author's particular style of writing. Once the action starts and the pulser darts start flying this book gets rolling along quite well.

I was very dubious that I would enjoy this book in one of my favorite SciFi settings. When I was a young boy my uncle gave me the complete ERB collection. I loved the stories written by ERB and other authors of that era. My concern was this author would bugger and ruin one of my favorite story settings. Not too bad so far. If you read the author's other works, this book appears to have a similar plot and story arc.

Rather interesting story with some neat twists for a harem-type book. Other than being polyamorous, the MC and his women are rather sexually vanilla. There is some mention of lesbian love between the various women. Other than mention of some taboo sexual practices the MC is not interested in, a rather sexually tame book in this genre.

I really did not expect to like or enjoy this series. Sorta reminds me of the Gor series with how almost all of the women fall in love immediately. Sorta campy, but fun story if you hit the "I Believe" button hard enough. I hope the author releases more in this series as I will probably finish this book today,

This is a large book and will take me a little while to get through. First story is set in the Ender's Game universe not one of my favorite series or authors.
