HYR Young Jane Young by Gabrielle Zevin ?

I love the Amanda Quick novels (pseudonym of Jayne Ann Krentz). She writes all of her contemporary novels as Jayne Ann Krentz. All of her historical novels as Amanda Quick and all of her novels set in the future as Jayne Castle. You would like her Lake & Marsh series. Slightly Shady (Book 1) is a straightforward mystery with paranormal elements, but there isn't any sex scenes, which I know that you do not like to read. It does solve your problem for a "Q" author.

No, I haven't read it yet. Did you find Burn Bright on Kindle? It's not supposed to be out until March of 2018. HYR it yet?

You are correct. The release date is March 2018. I have it on a waiting list at my library. I should not have used this title.

HYR Frankenstein The Graphic Novel: Original Text* by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley ?

One of the English classes that I am with used this version of Frankenstein this year.

I HR it. I gave it four stars. IMO, it sometimes helps to have graphic novel versions of classic texts like this to read with students to come at texts in different ways. (Though actually I read this graphic novel not with a class, but with my book group.) HYR it? What did you think?

HYR Fahrenheit 451: The Authorized Adaptation or Kindred: A Graphic Novel Adaptation, both are graphic novel versions of (in my opinion) classic sf novels?

For struggling learners, I preferred Retold Classic Novel: Frankenstein.

HNR, but I am a big of the original and the language is simple enough for struggling learners without using an adaptation. I may seek out one of these for myself at some point in the future.

Do you plan to read Renegades* (Renegades, Book 1) by Marissa Meyer ?

*Newest series by Marissa Meyer. To be published November 2017.

Shockingly, I have read no Marissa Meyer, not Cinder, nor any of its sequels. Just haven't gotten around to her yet. So no, Renegades is not a must read for me next month, but maybe I'll finally get around to Cinder.

It's not zombies, it's humans, magic- users, ghosts, and 1/2 human and 1/2 ghosts. Ghosts, whether full or not, have more personality than zombies.

Half-Resurrection Blues isn't a zombie book, it's about ghosts, magic users, humans and half-ghosts, half- humans who have a whole lot more personality than zombies.

I found this book for the title game because it begins with "at," but it looks superb.

The title amuses me because the Eleventh Doctor from "Doctor Who" likes what he calls 'fish fingers.' HNR.

I'm not trying to convince you, but The Girls in the Picture is historical fiction about Mary Pickford who was the first Hollywood star and her friend and writer, director Francis Marion.

I'm reading a Star Trek Deep Space Nine novel now, Original Sin by David R. George III. Do you ever read media tie- in books?

Rarely. I've had people who know I like scifi give me things like that and I've read them to be polite, but otherwise, never.

HYR The Prisoner of Cell 25* (Michael Vey, Book 1) by Richard Paul Evans ?

*This is a very popular series among the young people at the high school where I teach. So much so that I was on the waiting list to read the first three of the seven books in the series. Hopefully one of the many copies of book four will be returned soon.
