My review of The Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher 4★, not a thriller, but a steampunk adventure and a lot of fun.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Just finished Jasper Jones. I compared it with the actual Miles Franklin award winner for that year and I preferred this novel rather than the winner.

Aussie Readers A-Z challenge - Z for zany charactersJust finished Smokin' Seventeen by Janet Evanovich.
I always enjoyed these books, and looked forward to the new one coming out. But then they got a bit samey, and I had a break away from the series, so this is the first one I have read for 3 or 4 years. Enjoyed it after the break ★★★☆

Aussie Crime Annual challengeFinished my January read jigsaw,
Jigsaw Man by Elena Forbes 14/1/18 ★★★★
4th and possibly last in this series (it came full circle, so I think it is probably a logical stopping place, but who knows!), I thought this was the strongest of the 4 books, both in storyline and writing.
I have this one to read Kerri - but I haven't read any of the others. Do you think it'll work for me?
Brenda wrote: "I have this one to read Kerri - but I haven't read any of the others. Do you think it'll work for me?"I read all 4 within the last month, so they do all hang together in my head. The last is definitely the strongest book, but it has direct ties back to the earlier books, particularly book 1&3. It would probably be a bit harder to follow without having read the earlier ones. I was able to get them all from the library on ebook, so I started with this one for my January read, then fit the others into various challenges so I could read them first :)
