I'm looking forward to your picks Karen! I knew it would happen eventually.

As usual, GR is acting up...the covers showed up one after the other instead of all in a row! I don't know what's going on with this site.

It's horrible right now! I had the toughest time getting things to post for the picks.

Yes, I noticed this morning but I thought it had been fixed! (I don't know why because it's not as any of the other bugs have been fixed and it's been weeks!)
I'll do the same. :)

It's so cold and windy here I am watching my son's game on my iphone (play by play on a very cool app) instead of going to it,so I was able to do your picks now.
I hope you find something you like! If not, just let me know, I'll try again :)
May is Loyalty Month -
A favorite author of mine- Sarah Addison Allen- You have The Girl Who Chased the Moon on your tbr, which I loved, but you can choose any title by her and be very happy.
A favorite series of both of ours- You need to finish the trilogy! Mockingjay
May is Graduation Time - Three of my favorite YA books-
Going Too Far
Hex Hall
Saving Francesca
International Space Day, May 4 - I love both of these from your tbr-
Slave to Sensation
Dark Lover
Join Hands Day, May 4 -
You don't read much Erotica, this was on your tbr and I really liked it-Wicked Burn
New author to you- this is her debut book and I just finished it and really enjoyed it-On the Island
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 - This is the only category I didn't pick at least one from your tbr. They are all books I love :)
I would like to visit Italy-Breathing Room
I would like to go on a boating adventure-Making Waves
I would like to go to an isolated cabin with a hunky guy right next door! (don't tell my husband, it's just a fantasy, lol)-And One Last Thing ...
National Teacher Day, May 8 - Classics-
To Kill a Mockingbird
The Little Prince
Armed Forces Day, May 18 -
The Road- haunting and unforgettable
The Book Thief- amazing
Shadow Game- first in the Ghostwalker series- I really like the whole series- military/special ops

Attachments
Simply Irresistible
Buddy Reads:
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 -
Shadows of Myth and Legend
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 - Pick a book with a yummy cover -

Oh, my. I had the hardest time with your list. Apparently, you really like contemporary romance. I greatly dislike most of them. But, I tried. I recommended one book from my shelves and one book from yours. I also stuck with your no paranormal rule. Hope you can find something you wouldn't mind reading!
May is Loyalty Month- Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake or Seduce Me at Sunrise- You can't go wrong with either of these.
May is Graduation Time- It was so hard not recommending paranormal since that's generally the kind of YA I read. But, Saving Francesca isn't paranormal and the author is from Australia, too. As a ukulele player, how could I pass up Struts & Frets?
International Space Day, May 4- I promise The Iron Duke isn't paranormal, but steampunk. Grimspace is from your TBR and looks interesting.
Join Hands Day, May 4- Don't judge a book by its cover; it's not paranormal. Darkfever is urban fantasy. Lots of people have liked Broken.
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6- I'm not a Roberts fan, but I did enjoy Born in Fire. It's set in Ireland and I've visited there. Or, Don't Mess with Texas. I'm a Texan, so I guess that means I've been there. I do think you would really like this book.
National Teacher Day, May 8 - I've recommended Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain because it relates somewhat to your music therapy studies. I'm hoping you're not like me and dislike reading anything about your occupation. I hate reading anything that involves lawyers. :-) Or, Frederica fits as a classic.
Armed Forces Day, May 18- The Unsung Hero isn't the best book in the series, but it gets better from there. Bonus points because Brockmann is the featured author in May. Or, Not Quite a Husband does have a long battle scene.
Maritime Day, May 22- Agnes and the Hitman is one of my favorite books! Or, Nerd in Shining Armor is fluff at its fluffiest.
Buddy Reads:
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10- Divorced, Desperate and Delicious
Chocolate Chip day, May 15– 52 Loaves: One Man's Relentless Pursuit of Truth, Meaning, and a Perfect Crust Bread. Mmm. Yummy.

I'm looking forward to your picks Karen! I knew it would happen eventually..."
Gee, no pressure there! :) I'm working on them now...

Hope you like my recs.
1. May is Loyalty Month: Slave to Sensation- I just love this serie!!!
2. May is Graduation Time: The Hunger Games - a very good read. And today I just finished Stormand just loved it!
3. International Space Day, May 4:Undercover
4. Join Hands Day, May 4: If You Hear Her - Shiloh is one of my fav author.
5. Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6: A Kingdom of Dreams
6. National Teacher Day, May 8: Pride and Prejudice
7. Armed Forces Day, May 18: Hidden Away - I saw you read the first two in the series. this one is wonderful!
8. Maritime Day, May 22: Sweet Surrender
9. Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10: The Tea Rose - this book looks interesting. or The Passage - I have this one in my TBR
10. Chocolate Chip day, May 15: Shoot to Thrill or Eternal Hunter
if you like some other recs, let me know.
Happy reading!

Here's the picks for you. I hope you find something you like, we have different reading tastes LOL If not, I'd be glad to try again :)
May is Loyalty Month - rec a book that is from a favorite author or series you love
You seem to like Janet Evanovich and her Stephanie Plum series, so why not go back to the beginning of it and read One for the Money. You also seem to like Victoria Dahl (so do I). I enjoyed To Tempt A Scotsman which is a historical romance she wrote. Or you could try Mine Till Midnight by Lisa Kleypas. It's another historical romance, but I've loved everything I've read by her!
May is Graduation Time - rec a YA book
It was hard to pick a YA book I enjoyed that you hadn't already read LOL But I managed to find two...Impossible by Nancy Werlin and Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia. They're supposed to be making a movie about the Beautiful Creatures one.
International Space Day, May 4 - rec a book that is set in an alternate universe
This was both hard and easy....easy cause you had practically no alternate universe and hard cause I have so many to choose from to recommend LOL I narrowed it down to A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole. This wasn't my favorite in the series, but it was good. It also isn't labeled #1 in the series since there's a novella that comes before it, but you don't loose anything by not reading it first cause they catch you up in this. My second choice is Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh. I love the overall back story that is going on in this series. There is a psychic race and a shapeshifting race as well as humans. Can't get much more alternate than that.
Join Hands Day, May 4 - rec an author your pickee hasn't read before or a genre your pickee normally doesn't read
Dark Lover by JR Ward. Oh my gosh! The Black Dagger Brotherhood is among my favorites! It's got vamps and romance, and you had very little of that on your list.
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 - rec a book that is set in a place you've visited or somewhere you'd like to visit
I'm giving you another of my favorite series here, but it works cause this one takes place in both England and France and both are places I'd love to go...The Secret History of the Pink Carnation by Lauren Willig. These books are funny and romantic and there's a mystery in there as well.
National Teacher Day, May 8 - rec a nonfiction book that you enjoyed or a classic
You've already read my all time favorite classic, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, but you could read it again ;0) (I've read it about 13 times) In case you didn't like it enough to do that, how about Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne? It wasn't on your list and I really enjoyed it and have read it several times as well.
Armed Forces Day, May 18 - since being in the armed services can be scary, pick a book that is a thriller or scary, or pick a book that is a military or special ops series
I don't normally do anything that is scary, movies or books, so I recommended a special ops series. Whisper No Lies by Cindy Gerard. It's the 3rd book in this series, but you won't miss anything by reading it out of order.
Maritime Day, May 22 - pick a book that would be a great beach read
Bikini Season by Sheila Roberts was on your TBR list and looked like it'd be a fun beach read. I also saw you had Hissy Fit by Mary Kay Andrews on there. I've read this one and enjoyed it.
Buddy Reads: Buddy reads are not optional picks. You must pick one for each catergory, however, you are not required to do a buddy read if your schedule won't let you fit it in :)
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 - rec a book that is one of the oldest on your pickees TBR list that you'd like to read as well
The Mane Event by Shelly Laurenston has been on your TBR for a while and it's on mine too. I've heard this series is funny as well as hot.
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 - Pick a book with a yummy cover
How to Eat a Cupcake by Meg Donahue has yummy cupcakes on the cover. But for another kind of yummy, how about Devil of the Highlands by Lynsay Sands. I think a man in a kilt is yummy ;0)

I saw you only joined GR a few months ago, so i'm figuring you might not have all your books on your shelves yet - so if you have read any of these, and want re-picks, please let me know ;) Hopefully, I didn't pick any of those cheesy romances you dislike ;)
May is...
1. Loyalty month
You seem to have quite a few Sarah Dessen books on your shelf, but i didn't see Along for the Ride which is one that i read and enjoyed, so why not that? Or for a completely new to you author (or at least i think so...) how about Lisa Kleypas - she has a huge backlist, but i'm going to recommend 2 books by her, one is historical and the other contemporary - It Happened One Autumn or Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor
2. Graduation Time
So i've read one of these and the other sounds interesting, so if you decide to read the second one let me know and i'll see if i can get it from the library - Between Shades of Gray (YA historical fiction set in Lithuania and Siberia) or Break
3. international space day
Insurgent - its due out on either the 1st or 2nd, so why not ;) or The Sphinx Project
4. Join Hands Day
one of the genres that I love is m/m romance and each month a group of us have been buddy reading a book, so in May we are going to be reading Between Sinners and Saints if you would like to join in. otherwise, how about a medical thriller/suspense with The Surgeon
5. tourist appreciation day
I've read both of these and enjoyed them - Snow Angels - a nordic noir mystery set in Finland, or Anna and the French Kiss (a YA set in France)
6. National Teacher's Day
So I saw that you had Jane Eyre on your to-read shelf, so why not try it, or for some non-fiction, why not try Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex - its a history of the study of sex...I don't know if you do audiobooks or not, but the narrator did a really good job, I just got done listening to it.
7. Armed Forced Day - one of my favorite days!!
Two book recommendations here, The Unsung Hero (the author is also the featured author for the month) or No Mercy (the main character is a female Army sniper who has been discharged because of injuries, but she is still kick ass)
8. Maritime Day
For me, aside from romances, when i'm on the beach, I like Cozy mysteries or sometimes chick lit. For a cozy mystery, why not try A Dyeing Shame: Death at the Beauty Box (the main character is an 80 year crime solver...) or I've Got Your Number - I haven't read this one yet, but i'm intrigued by it.
I don't know if I will be able to do any buddy reads this month, but I've only read 1 of the 4 i'm recommending here
9. Clean Up your Room day...
since you only joined in March, i didn't have to go far back to find a book on your shelves (thankfully), so why not try either Strange Angels or Wanderlove
10. Chocolate Chip day
mmmm,

these are your picks, i hope you like them, if not I'll gladly do a re-pick.

Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 - The Host
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 - Future Perfect

May is Loyalty Month: I don't know about you but I love me some Highlanders and toss in some time travel too and I'm there. This is on your TBR but it doesn't appear as if you've given this series a chance. It's one of my favorite Scottish romances and the entire series is excellent.
Charming the Highlander - Janet Chapman
May is Graduation Time: - YA doesn't seem to be a favorite genre for so but here are a few of my favorite books (series books, of course).
Intertwined - Gena Showalter (boy with four human souls inside him. really interesting.)
Firelight - Sophie Jordan (dragon shifter)
Glass Houses - Rachel Caine (vampires)
The Body Finder - Kimberly Derting (from your TBR)
International Space Day, May 4: You don't appear to read anything with an alternate universe so here are two of my favorites.
Naked in Death - J.D. Robb (futuristic NYC in 2058) (On your TBR)
Magic Bites - Ilona Andrews (starts out slowly but a fantastic series) (urban fantasy set in Atlanta)
Join Hands Day, May 4: both new authors for you though Nicholas is on your TBR.
Nicholas - Elizabeth Amber
Urban Shaman - C.E. Murphy (urban fantasy)
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6: I'd love to visit Scotland and Ireland but since I have a few Scots listed already, thought I'd go with Ireland. This is one of my favorite series from Nora Roberts.
Jewels of the Sun: The Gallaghers of Ardmore Trilogy #1 - Nora Roberts
Darkfever - Karen Marie Moning
National Teacher Day, May 8: Well I don't read non-fiction and the only classics I've read are those you are forced to read in school. So the only one I can really endorse is Gone with the Wind but if you've read that (or seen the movie), give Scarlett a try. I really liked it.
Armed Forces Day, May 18: I went with one of each.
Men Out of Uniform - anthology
The Face of Deception - Iris Johansen (this is one of my favorite series and on your TBR.)
Maritime Day, May 22: I don't hit the beach so I wouldn't read anything there but in the spirit of the challenge I found two that I enjoyed and maybe you will too. One from your TBR and one from mine.
Flat-Out Sexy - Erin McCarthy
Can You Keep a Secret? - Sophie Kinsella
Buddy Reads:
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10: The oldest book on your shelf is Blood Red by Heather Graham. I also own this one and could do a buddy read if chosen.
Chocolate Chip day, May 15: I have this one as well and could do a buddy read if chosen.

Ruth Ann, I have most of these recommendations in epub format. PM me if you'd like me to forward any/all of them to you. I guess I should also say that if none of these appeal, let me know and I can try again.

I hope you find something there you like. :) I recommended you several books that I haven't read yet but I'm interested in reading this month. I cannot do all the buddy reads but I can do at least one or two depending on the book. Just let me know!
May is Loyalty Month (favorite author)- Secrets of a Summer Night by Lisa Kleypas, this is the beginning of a really good series OR Hostage to Pleasure by Nalini Singh, one of my favorite PNR series and this is one of the steamiest of the lot. :)
May is Graduation Time (YA) - Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles OR The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - I wasn't sure what to recommend you for this so I went with two of my favorites. Both got 5-stars from me and I don't give those too often.
International Space Day, May 4 (alternative universe) - Cinder by Marissa Meyer, which I'm planning to read in May in a buddy read with another group so let me know if you like to join us OR Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, another 5-star for me, one of my favorites of last year.
Join Hands Day, May 4 (new author or new genre) - The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss OR The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. I don't see you read much epic fantasy so I'm recommend you two of my favorites (both 5-stars!) I got into the genre last year after I read the first of these recs. The language is beautiful so I think it will appeal to the English Lit grad in you. Locke Lamora has a great plot so you may want to pick it if you like lots of action.
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 (set in a place I've visited or somewhere you'd like to visit) - Guernica by Dave Boling, this is set in Spain which I just loved. I haven't read it and it looks to be on the tough side but if you want to read it, I can join you OR if you are in the mood for some Highlanders and lots of history, you may want to try Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I haven't been to Scotland but really want to go there after reading this series.
National Teacher Day, May 8 (classic or non fiction) - To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, which I'm reading for the first time now and loving it. I know you must have read it but I couldn't help but recommending it. OR you could also try How to Be a Villain: Evil Laughs, Secret Lairs, Master Plans, and More!!! by Neil Zawacki, which is simply hysterical. There are so many villain cliches in that book, I almost PIMP laughing.
Armed Forces Day, May 18 (thriller, military or special ops) - Lie With Me by Stephanie Tyler, which I haven't read but I can join you in a buddy read if you want OR if you want to cry buckets (don't believe the title), you can read Cry No More by Linda Howard, which is excellent romantic suspense. As a fan of the genre, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Maritime Day, May 22 (beach read) - Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward OR Rain Fall by Barry Eisler. I never knew how books you read at the beach are supposed to be different from other books, LOL so I just recommended you two good ones. Rain Fall is specially good for those of us who like mysteries and thrillers.
BUDDY READS
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 (oldest on pickee's TBR list that I'd like to read as well) - The Templar Legacy by Steve Berry OR Dark Awakening by Kendra Leigh Castle. Two books from your TBR that look interesting. I can't join you in a buddy read though (have too many going already.)
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 (yummy cover) - Forged in Fire by Trish McCallan, I got this for free just yesterday but it's a mix of romantic suspense and PNR so it sounds like it could be good OR another one that looks good Eternal Hunter by Cynthia Eden.

Gigi, I really enjoyed picking for you this month. You have a lot of great books in your TBR already. I tried to pick some from there, and give you new suggestions too.
Hope you find books you can enjoy. If not, I can attempt a repick.
Loyalty Month
1. Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning - My favorite series ever. And they get even better as the series progresses.
2. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Graduation
1. The Luxe by Anna Godbersen- I'm planning on reading the next in the series during May.
International Space Day
1. Divergent by Veronica Roth
2. The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde- You'll see I've also recommended the original below.
3. The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
Join Hands Day It doesn't look like you read a lot of pure fantasy. Here are three recommendations
1. The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
2. The Silent Land by Graham Joyce
3. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
National Tourism Day I set out with the following countries in mind: Germany, Italy, England, and I ended up with one book with portions that take place in those 3 places (plus Iceland).
1. Graceling by Kristin Cashore
National Teacher Day
1. A Classic- Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë
2. Non-fiction- Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide by Nicholas D. Kristof
Armed Forces Day
1. Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill- It made me so anxious I couldn't read it at night
Maritime Day
1. SEALed with a Kiss by Mary-Margret Daughtridge
2. Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie— Or any of Crusie's books. This is one of my favorites
3. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Clean Up Your Room Day
1. The Summerhouse by Jude Deveraux
Chocolate Chip Day

I love choices and for this month you will too. For each category, I chose a book from each of our lists. In some cases I've read the book from my list. I hope you enjoy the selections.
May is Loyalty Month -
Night Embrace or Crux
May is Graduation Time -
Hush, Hush or The Power of Six
International Space Day, May 4 - (I went with alternate or dystopian universe)The Host or Born of Night
Join Hands Day, May 4 - (In this case I gave you a new author and a rare genre for you)
Broken or First Grave on the Right]Some Girls Bite
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 -
Some Girls Bite or Magic Burns
National Teacher Day, May 8 -
Wuthering Heights or Jane Eyre
Armed Forces Day, May 18 -
Show No Mercy or Forget Me Not
Maritime Day, May 22 -
Samson's Lovely Mortal or Hot Number
BUDDY READS: (I am so committed this month I can only do one of the buddy reads - your choice which)
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 -
Awaken Me Darkly or Ask For It
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 -
Bared to You or Giving Chase

Here are your picks. My picks are heavy in urban fantasy and paranormal romance, since those are the genres I’m most familiar with. I hope I found something you’re interested in trying this month. I’ve got several buddy reads already for May, but I can always try to squeeze in more if you’re interested in either of my recommendations.
May is Loyalty Month - I love Nalini Singh. I see you read her first Psy/Changeling book, so how about continuing the series with Visions of Heat. (Book #3, Caressed by Ice is one of my favorites in the series.)
May is Graduation Time - If you want to try a new series, I highly recommend The Iron King by Julie Kagawa. If you’d rather continue with a series you’ve already started then I’d recommend Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
International Space Day, May 4 - Okay, this category totally threw me for a loop. I’m going to recommend Divergent by Veronica Roth. It’s more of an alternate future to our world rather than an alternate universe, but I really enjoyed the book and the second in the series comes out May 1.
Join Hands Day, May 4 - How about some steampunk? Soulless by Gail Carriger
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 - So many places I’d love to visit...How about Scotland? To Tame A Highland Warrior by Karen Marie Moning.
National Teacher Day, May 8 - My hands-down favorite non-fiction book is Connections by James Burke. It’s a fascinating read showing how environment, social pressures, economics, religion, and pretty much everything interconnects to influence human invention.
My favorite “classic” is Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. I saw you gave his ‘Fahrenheit 451’ only two stars, but Dandelion Wine is a very different style story and might be worth trying.
Armed Forces Day, May 18 - This was another tough category for me. I took a trip to your ‘owned but not yet read’ shelf and found Hush by Cherry Adair. I’ve never read her work, but it seemed to fit the category. And, hey, you already own it!
Maritime Day, May 22 - Since you gave the first in this series four stars, I thought Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord by Sarah MacLean might be a nice, light beach read.
Buddy Reads:
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 - Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. This has been on my TBR pile for quite a while, too.
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 - I keep seeing this cover and wanting to read it, so how about The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton?

Buddy Reads:

okay I feel better now I thought I was doing something wrong

Happy Reading!
May is Loyalty Month - Sophie Kinsella – Twenties Girl; Bill Bryson: A Walk in the Woods or I’m A Stranger Here Myself (both of these had me in stitches); anything by Carl Hiaasen that you haven’t read yet
May is Graduation Time – Born at Midnight – C. C. Hunter, for some of the paranormal that you enjoy; Angus, Thongs, and Full-frontal Snogging – Louise Rennison,( hilarious series)
International Space Day, May 4 – Dune – Frank Herbert (sci-fi); Play Dead – John Levitt (mystery paranormal) or any in this series (although I read this one first and it is a good stand-alone); A Discovery of Witches – Deborah Harkness
Join Hands Day, May 4 - Julia’s Chocolates – Cathy Lamb - one of my all-time favorite books; either Apocalipstick or Spin Cycle by Sue Margolis – both had me howling; Bobbie Faye’s (very, very, very) Bad Hair Day – Toni McGee Causey – southern humor and mystery with great characters
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 – I have been to both of these places several times and want to go again: Mexico: Frida by Barbara Mujia; Like Water for Chocolate – Laura Esquivel;
France: The Secret of the Pink Carnation (I am intrigued by this series and want to start it myself this month); Anna and the French Kiss – Stephanie Perkins, since you liked “Lola”
National Teacher Day, May 8 - Nonfiction: Unbroken – Laura Hillenbrand; Also since you liked ‘Stiff’, you might like Last Breath: Cautionary Tales from the Limits of Human Endurance - Peter Stark; Any Frank McCourt memoir that you haven’t read;
Classic: The Little Prince – Antoine St. Exupery; The Life and Times of Nicholas Nickleby – Charles Dickens; The Count of Monte Cristo – Alexander Dumas – all three of these are among my all-time favorite classics
Armed Forces Day, May 18 - Thriller: Angels & Demons – Dan Brown; thriller/spec ops/military/romance/mystery: any of the Code Name books by Christina Skye, like Code Name: Bikini (great cover) or any of those, or My Spy also by Skye
Maritime Day, May 22 - Saving CeeCee Honeycutt – Beth Hoffman; I saw that you like Sarah Addison Allen, and this one is very similar to hers; Surrender Bay – Denise Hunter; Bikini Season – Sheila Roberts
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 – Under the Tuscan Sun - Frances Mayes; Jemima J. - Jane Green – I saw that these were some of the earliest on your list and they have also been on my TBR pile for a while
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 – I Want Candy – Susan Donovan; Giving Chase – Lauren Dane; Coming Undone – Lauren Dane; Extreme Exposure – Pamela Clare
Let me know if you want to do a Buddy Read for any of these. I will be away for the next two days, but after that I can start any time.

May is Loyalty Month - The hardest part here was limiting myself to a reasonable number of choices, so here are continuations of 2 series that you've enjoyed so far: Immortal in Death or Sunrise Point.
May is Graduation Time - Neither of us read much YA, but I know you liked Perfect Chemistry so how about continuing the series with Rules of Attraction?
International Space Day, May 4 - You've read and enjoyed a lot of Jayne Ann Krentz's work, so how about trying out her (Jayne Castle) Harmony series with After Dark? Or, for a continuation of a series that you started and enjoyed, you could go with Storm's Heart.
Join Hands Day, May 4 - Two choices again - The Gamble because I know you've been wanting to read it, or Fifty Shades of Grey, just to find out what all the hype is about! :)
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 - I'm not much of a traveler so I had a little trouble here, until I remembered that Rainshadow Road is set in Friday Harbor, a town I've never visited (and always wanted to) even though it's less than 70 miles from where I live.
National Teacher Day, May 8 - I'll give you one choice in each category: Pride and Prejudice or Why My Third Husband Will Be a Dog
Armed Forces Day, May 18 - Another category with way too many possibilities, but I'll limit it to two: Cry No More is suspenseful and gut-wrenchingly emotional, and The Unsung Hero is the first book of a very good SEAL series, which also happens to fit the Featured Author Challenge this month.
Maritime Day, May 22 - The next Lucky Harbor book comes out soon, so it's time to get caught up by reading Head Over Heels. Or, Janet Evanovich is always good for a light, fun beach read, so how about checking out her latest, Love in a Nutshell.
Buddy Reads:
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 - Stranger in My Arms has been on your TBR pretty much forever, and it's hard to go wrong with Lisa Kleypas.
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 -

A bare-chested firefighter, kind of hard to go wrong - with the added benefit of a pregnant heroine, so it fits nicely in the monthly challenge!
Hope you find what you're looking for - enjoy!

these are your picks, i hope you like them, if not I'll gladly do a re-pick.
May is Loyalty Month - Goneby Micheal Grant , City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, Vampire Academy by Rachelle m..."
Nelly, thanks for your picks. Always a hard decision! I may read one of the Sarah Dessen books, or Delirium or Evermore.

Here's the picks for you. I hope you find something you like, we have different reading tastes LOL If not, I'd be glad to try again :)
May is Loyalty Month - rec a book that is from a favo..."
Susan, these look like great picks! I have already read all of the Stephanie Plum Evanovich novels as well as Rebecca - I just don't have everything listed on my Read list yet because I have so many past ones to add! But here's a funny thing about your classic rec - I have read parts of Around the World in French when I was teaching French, but I have NEVER read the whole thing in English! This is good motivation to do that. Also, I have the 'Pink Carnation' one sitting on the top of my TBR pile by my bed because it looks really intriguing and I hope to start it soon.
I haven't read a lot of paranormal stuff because it isn't my favorite genre, but I do take these challenges and they make me broaden my horizons into those genres. I have found some I like so I will continue to try them. This is the second time the Singh one has been recommended, so maybe I will try it this month.
I will be away for the next two days, but after that if you would like to do a Buddy Read, I would be able to do so. I have two of the three, and would get the 'Cupcake' one if you want to read it.
Thanks again for great picks! I am eager to get started when I get back.

May is Loyalty Month - Karen Marie Moning is one of my favorite authors so I am reccomending Beyond the Highland Mist.
May is Graduation Time - I avoid reading ya for the most part so after reviewing your to-read list I have selected Shadow Bound.
International Space Day, May 4 - I'm not sure if this counts but I love Gena Showalter so my choice for you is The Darkest Night.
Join Hands Day, May 4 - My choice is Highland Captive, I didn't see the author Mary McCall on your bookshelf anywhere and I didn't see any books from this theme either.
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 - I'm a fan of anywhere tropical so my pick for this category is The Island.
National Teacher Day, May 8 - I haven't read many of the classics but my pick for this category is The Fox.
Armed Forces Day, May 18 - The thrillerPresence is my pick for this category.
Maritime Day, May 22 - So the book I've chosen might not seem like a beach read, but I can tell you I didn't want to put it down so a day on the beach to read it would be perfect! My pick is a Kitty and the Midnight Hour. This series gets better and better!
Buddy Reads:
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 - The oldest book on my tbr list is Seduce Me in Dreams.
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 - So mucy eye candy to choose from!!! I pick

May is Loyalty Month - Fury
May is Graduation Time - Redwall
International Space Day, May 4 -East
Join Hands Day, May 4 -The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 - Hush: An Irish Princess' Tale
National Teacher Day, May 8 -I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
Armed Forces Day, May 18 - War of the Rats
Maritime Day, May 22 -Pleasure
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 - Lucinda, Dangerously
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 -Hotter After Midnight

Ok, Miss Sallie, this always takes me so long because I want to choose far too many books. Even though out of your 350+ books on your tbr, I've only read about 5, I still tried to make a pick for each category from both my tbr and yours. Let's see how I did...
May is Loyalty Month ~ Since we're both huge Outlander and In Death fans there's no explanation needed for these two... New York to Dallas & An Echo in the Bone, loved them both! Vampires in America is another series that I just discovered and it starts with Raphael, also very good!

May is Graduation Time ~ You might want to continue with Magic Study since you enjoyed Poison Study. Or you could go with Daughter of Smoke and Bone which was great. The second in that series comes out very soon.

International Space Day ~ I love Patricia Briggs. I've only read her Mercy Thompson series but I've been wanting to start her early work, Masques. I also have to recommend two of my favorite 'alternate reality' series, Warprize a trilogy or Lord of the Fading Lands a five book series.

Join Hands Day ~ I saw very little erotica on your lists so you can start out small with an awesome series, Fifty Shades of Grey. If you'd rather try a really good historical go for Across a Moonlit Sea. What I love about it is one, it's a very different story line and two, it's loaded with well researched details.

Tourist Appreciation Day ~ You Slay Me, set in Paris and Good Girls Don't set in Colorado.

National Teacher Day ~ 3 classics: Dracula, Shōgun and Cyrano De Bergerac

Armed Forces Day ~ The Historian, I've heard good things about this book and one of these days I'm going to actual read it. The Last Werewolf, it's classified as horror, and it can certainly be gruesome, but I found it to be both funny and touching. If you want special ops try Maya Banks' KGI series. It starts with The Darkest Hour

Maritime Day ~ Three fun reads for the beach: An Unforgettable Lady, Double Play and Dragon Bound.

Buddy Reads
Clean Up Your Room Day ~

Chocolate Chip Day ~

Ok, hopefully you'll be able to find something from this rather large list. I tried to give you as wide a range as possible to choose from, good luck.
Happy Reading!

Here are my recs for you. It's a mixture of genres, so I hope you will find something that will interest you.
LOYALTY MONTH: Patricia Brigg's Cry Wolf but be sure to read the prequel novella in the anthology On the Prowl. If you love Mercy and Adam, I'm pretty sure you will find a place in your heart for Anna and Charles.
GRADUATION DAY: Z for Zachariah by Robert O'Brien. It's a pretty old book, post-apocalyptic in theme, but I thought it was well-written and slightly disturbing.
INTERNATIONAL SPACE DAY - Lord of the Fading Lands by C.L. Wilson. I'm not a big straight fantasy fan, but I adore this series. A world full of beautiful fae, wicked mages, and fire-breathing tairens.
JOIN HANDS DAY - I saw Shades of Dark in your TBR, but not the first book, Gabriel's Ghost. I recommend both books, even though you might not be into sci-fi romance. I love Sully and Chaz.
TOURIST DAY - I live in New York City when I was in my teens. Considering how alive and busy the city is, it makes a perfect setting for a demon-runned hospital in Larissa Ione's Pleasure Unbound.
TEACHER DAY - One of my all-time favorite classic read, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
ARMED FORCES DAY - The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum. Saw this in your TBR, and I just have to recommend it. I practically read this book several times when I was a young girl.
MARITIME DAY - Something light. Something fluffy. Something that will make you giggle and smile. Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie
Buddy Reads: I'm not sure if I can do a buddy read for this month, but I'll try if you are interested.
CLEAN-UP: Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
CHOCOLATE CHIP: Flat-Out Sexy by Erin McCarthy

Well, there you go. Happy reading!

I really enjoyed going through your lists!
May is Loyalty Month
I really enjoy the Cassandra Palmer Series, and it starts with
Touch the Dark by Karen Chance.
May is Graduation Time
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater.
International Space Day
Not only is this book about an alternate universe, it's really funny. And it's on your TBR list! The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
Join Hands Day
You have this book on your list, but you haven't read anything by him yet. The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. It's a really enjoyable book!
Tourist Appreciation Day
Déjà Dead by Kathy Reichs. She travels to Canada for this, and I would definitely like to travel there some day. Plus, it's the first book in another good series!
National Teacher Day
I found Bossypants by Tina Fey to be a fun read.
Armed Forces Day
I picked a series of short stories written under a pen name by Stephen King. And I think these books are scary! The Bachman Books by Richard Bachman
Maritime Day
I think You Slay Me by Katie MacAlister is a great, fun beach read.
Clean Up Your Room Day
Although I've already read this, so I wouldn't do it as a buddy read, I picked The Outlaw Demon Wails by Kim Harrison. You've read the others in the series up to this point, and this is one of the oldest books on your TBR pile.
Chocolate Chip day
I think Moonlight Warrior by Janet Chapman has a yummy cover! I don't own the book, but if you want to do this as a buddy read I can put it on hold at my library.
I hope there is something in this list that you would like to read next month!
Sue-
