I have to say that I think this theme and these picking rules are the BEST! Not that I haven't liked the earlier ones, because I think you all do such a great job, but I am such a chocoholic, that these just speak to me!! And I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the photos!!
Thanks for doing such a great job!

Vi | 2794 comments HI Cathy!,

I've loved going through your books. I've added a number of them to my shelves. We also seem to have different tastes. I've tried to balance out the recommendations with a few of them out of your comfort zone. Hope you like them. If not, let me know and I'll repick for you.

From Your TBR Cupboard:

Chocolate Raisins
Bonds of Justice by Nalini Singh - You've got to continue the series to read Hawke and Sienna's book. It's only 2 books away. Go, go!!
Fireside by Susan Wiggs - You seem to really like Susan Wiggs; why don't you read another of hers?
River Marked by Patricia Briggs - Bonus! Mercy Thompson series is fast becoming one of my top favorite UF series. With River Marked, you'll be all caught up.

Bonds of Justice (Psy-Changeling, #8) by Nalini Singh Fireside (Lakeshore Chronicles, #5) by Susan Wiggs River Marked (Mercy Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs

Nut Clusters
First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones - I've heard raves about this book. It's PNR with lots of humor.
How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire by Kerrelyn Sparks - Seriously, what's not to like this book? The title alone does it!

First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) by Darynda Jones How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire (Love at Stake, #1) by Kerrelyn Sparks

Truffles
Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas - I'm pretty sure there's this strawberry scene in this book. Read more to find out! :P
Rough, Raw, and Ready by Lorelei James - Do I need words??

Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas Rough, Raw, and Ready by Lorelei James

Hot Cocoa
In Bed with a Highlander by Maya Banks - The title of the book matches the theme to a d.
Hidden Summit by Robyn Carr - Seeing as you seem to love Carr, maybe you should give her standalone a try. If you're doing the Featured Author Challenge here, then this will work out perfectly.

In Bed with a Highlander (McCabe Trilogy, #1) by Maya Banks Hidden Summit by Robyn Carr

From Your Pantry Shelves:

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey - A feel good contemporary romance with a great cover. The cover just makes me wanna read the book.
I've Got Your Number: A Novel by Sophie Kinsella - Kinsella's standalone are better than her series. Case in point is this book. She really pulled this one off!

Exclusively Yours (Kowalski Family, #1) by Shannon Stacey I've Got Your Number A Novel by Sophie Kinsella

Chocolate Fondue
Something About You by Julie James - Yummy cover! Added advantage of you liking the author.
Playing for Keeps by R.L. Mathewson - A new author I discovered last month. Contemporary goodness with hot factors.

Something About You (FBI, # 1) by Julie James Playing for Keeps (A Neighbor from Hell, #1) by R.L. Mathewson

Dark Chocolate

On the Prowl by Patricia Briggs - You should read Cry wolf but before that you need to read this short story as it's basically the first 100 pages of the book.
Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire - One of my favorite UF series that keeps getting better

On the Prowl by Patricia Briggs Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1) by Seanan McGuire

Chocolate Covered Ants:
Try some fantasy with strong romance elements - Lord of the Fading Lands by C.L. Wilson or Heart's Blood by Juliet Marillier
Or try The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde which is very quirky and soooo wonderfully weird.

Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson Heart's Blood (Whistling Tor, #1) by Juliet Marillier The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde

Buddy Reads:

I'm sorry but I don't think I'll be able to buddy read this month. But I've recommended two books from your TBR that I've added to mine!

From Your TBR
Waking Nightmare by Kylie Brant
Heartbreak Creek by Kaki Warner

From My TBR
The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner - I'll be doing a buddy read of this with DG and Miss. You're welcome to join us!

Thank you so much! I had a lot fun coming up with everything.

Just to let everyone know, I will be keeping track of things over the weekend, but I am not sure how good my internet connection is going to be and I won't be on my laptop. Since we all know how much fun it is to post from our phones, I hope you understand if I don't update much. Sue (knitwitsl) | 226 comments Grace,

Sorry it took me a bit to get these to you!

From Your Pickee's TBR Cupboard:
Chocolate Raisins

I looked through the books you have read, and you have a few from Lisa Kleypas that you really liked. Since I like that author as well, I thought I’d recommend one of hers on your TBR that sounds interesting. So for this one I’m recommending Mine Till Midnight.

Nut Clusters
I'm not sure this is really a funny book, but I found moments of it quite funny. How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper.

Truffles
After looking through your list a couple of times (and trying not to pick books that are later in a series), I picked Once a Knight by Christina Dodd. You have quite a few of her books on your list, so that helped me to decide on this one as well!

Hot Cocoa
Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James.

From Your Pantry Shelves:
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

This book always leaves me smiling and feeling good. Getting Rid of Bradley by Jennifer Crusie.

Chocolate Fondue
This is an older book, but one of my favorites! Fanta C by Sandra Brown.

Dark Chocolate
Naked in Death by J.D. Robb. Not my favorite in the series, but the first one of a series I do enjoy.

Chocolate Covered Ants
The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. Fforde has a really good sense of humor and he brings other books in to the story in a funny way.

Buddy Reads:
From Their TBR

The only book that is on both of our TBR lists is Cotillion by Georgette Heyer. I’m up for the read if you are!

From Your TBR
In looking at my list, I realize I have not been good about adding books to it last month! So, from the books I do have, I picked This Matter of Marriage by Debbie Macomber since it is by an author that you’ve read a few from (but no ratings, so I hope you like her)!

Joyce (eternity21) | 739 comments Hi Brett, Here are your picks. I hope you like them.

From Your Pickee's TBR Cupboard:
Chocolate Raisins - The Guardian I see you love the Dark Hunter Series so I picked the next one on your list.

Nut Clusters - Trolls in the Hamptons I really enjoyed this book and I saw it on your TBR list

Truffles - Devil Without A Cause I really liked the cover on this. Nice Abs!

Hot Cocoa - Nerd In Shining Armor This is a good read to curl up with and read in a single sitting.

From Your Pantry Shelves:
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries - Garden Spells This was recommended to me a little while ago and I really loved.

Chocolate Fondue - Date Me Baby One More Time I enjoyed this book and the romance was really good. It was funny too.

Dark Chocolate - Lights Out Tonight I noticed you don't have many mysteries on your TBR list but this was a good mystery and you don't need to read these in the order they were written.

Chocolate Covered Ants - Ready Player One This is a book from your TBR list that is different from what you usually read. I enjoyed this book especially with all the 80's and 90's references.

Buddy Reads:
From Their TBR - Wild Cards This looks like a interesting series I would love to read this with you if you are interested.

From Your TBR - A Discovery of Witches I noticed this was on both of our TBR lists.

Hi Janet, I didn't mark you as having made your picks because it looked like your picks were incomplete. You need to make picks for each of the categories listed in the rules totaling at least ten books. Many of us pick more than one book for each because we just can't help ourselves. I do have it marked that Lacy made picks for you, they are here Lacy's picks for Janet in message #171 . Most of us are so anxious for our picks that we are watching for them to come up and see them right away. It is almost an illness, but in a fun way! =) I hope you enjoy the challenge! Remember to complete it you only need to read one book that is recommended to you, but you are welcome to read more!

Polina (p0lit0o) | 71 comments Hi, Penney. It's been a little tough picking up books for you because you've read almost all of my favorites but I did my best. Have fun!

Chocolate Raisins - Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke's Heart - because you're are a huge historical-romance fan and you've liked the first two books in the series. ;)

Nut Clusters - How to Knit a Wild Bikini - well, it looks funny!

Truffles - Hot in Here - the title says it all.

Hot Chocolate - Heartbreak Creek

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries - Beautiful Disaster - one of my albsolute favorites.

Chocolate Fondue - Be With Me - HOT! I'm sure you'll like it.

Dark Chocolate - A Lot Like Love

Chocolate Covered Ants - On the Jellicoe Road - you seem to lack young-adult in your shelves and Melina Marchetta is one of the best in the genre. Just give a try. ;)

BUDDY READS
From Your TBR - The Breaker's Concubine - totally caught my eye while I was brousing through your shelves.
From My TBR - Attachments - I have a small to-read and most of the stuff on it you've already read so I didn't have much of a choice.

That's it from me. I hope you found some thing you liked. Peace \/

I had a great time exploring your shelves and looking for recommendations. In fact, I had such a good time, I had to keep reminding myself I was supposed to look for books for you, not add books to my own ever-increasing TBR pile. ;D

Your TBR Cupboard
Chocolate Raisins -- This is where a shelf labeled “i-need-to-finish-this-series” would really come in handy. If only … oh, wait, you do have one of those.
Vengeance in Death by J.D. Robb, In Death #6. -- I'm 34 books in and still loving the series.
Mine to Possess by Nalini Singh, Psy-Changeling #4 -- Technically, #4 isn’t anywhere on your TBR, but 1-3 are on your i-need-to-finish-this-series shelf, so I had to add this here. Singh just keeps getting better and better. I’ve been eagerly awaiting #11 since the moment I finished Kiss of Snow. Sadly, my calendar says I still have 2 more months to wait.
My Irresistible Earl by Gaelen Foley -- I’ve never read any of Foley’s books, but they look interesting
Rainshadow Road by Lisa Kleypas -- Kleypas is always a treat!

Nut Clusters
Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch -- Koch’s writing style really makes this series shine. Kitty’s quirky sense of humor is amazing and your gonna love her parents.
If Fried Chicken Could Fly by Paige Shelton -- I love cozy mysteries and I immediately added this to my shelves.
Murder With Peacocks by Donna Andrews -- I wasn’t sure about them at first, but I quickly came to love Meg’s kooky family.

Truffles
Too Hot To Touch (Rising Star Chef #1) by Louisa Edwards Too Hot To Touch by Louisa Edwards -- Yummm! There are some great covers out there, but this one topped my list this time around. Another book that I had to add to my own shelves. Not only was the cover decadent, but the blurb sounded delicious too.
Trespass by Meg Maguire Trespass by Meg Maguire -- This is another unknown-to-me author, but the book looked and sounded interesting.

Hot Cocoa
Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard -- Linda Howard is one of my comfort-read authors and this is one of her best. I always enjoy it every time I pick it up and I’ve reread it quite a bit.
The Secret by Julie Garwood -- Another comfort-read author, Garwood rarely lets me down.

From My Pantry Shelves
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Vision in White by Nora Roberts -- Nora Roberts is another can't miss author and the entire Bride Quartet is well worth the time spent reading.
And Then He Kissed Her by Laura Lee Guhrke -- I read this last year as part of a PIFM challenge and really enjoyed it.

Chocolate Fondue
Sweet Surrender by Maya Banks -- I love this whole series from Banks.
Wicked Ties by Shayla Black -- One of my favorite Shayla Black books.
Skin Game by Ava Gray -- A paranormal romance with some grit to it. I'm getting ready to read the third book in this series.

Dark Chocolate
When You Dare by Lori Foster -- Lori Foster does a great job mixing the suspense into this romance.
Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane -- Chess is an unconventional hero in this dark Urban Fantasy.
Skinwalker by Faith Hunter -- The first book in a dark Urban Fantasy series.

Chocolate Covered Ants
Cast in Shadow by Michelle Sagara West -- I love West's various fantasy series and this one in particular.
Once Bitten, Twice Shy by Jennifer Rardin -- Jaz Parks is a unique character with a quirky sense of humor. She works as an assassin for the CIA and her boss/partner is a vampire. I've thoroughly enjoyed the books in this series.

Buddy Reads
From Your TBR
Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage by Jennifer Ashley -- I absolutely loved Ian's story and am looking forward to starting this book soon.

From My TBR
Sins of the Angels by Linda Poitevin -- I picked this up because it looked interesting and am hoping to start it soon.
Mind Games by Carolyn Crane -- I've heard good things about this book, so I'd be willing to read this one too.

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments OK, Nici, finally! I hope you find something you like after your long wait. I've actually been working on it while in bed, so I'm probably overcompensating a little. Here we go...

From Your TBR Cupboard
1. Chocolate Raisins: Oracle's Moon and Archangel's Consort, Two of my favorite series, and since it seems to be the same for you, keep going with them :)
2. Nut Clusters: The Mane Event or anything by Shelly Laurenston on your TBR. She's hilarious! Or go with Hounded by Kevin Hearne, it's much funnier than you probably anticipate.
3. Truffles: Comfort Food, I originally read this because the cover intrigued me and it turned out to be a 5 star read for me. And every time I come across The Luxe I pause at the beauty. I've never read it but...
4. Hot Cocoa: Two very good, kick your feet up and snuggle books... Fifty Shades of Grey (total yum fest) and Pleasure Unbound

Oracle's Moon (Elder Races, #4) by Thea Harrison Archangel's Consort (Guild Hunter, #3) by Nalini Singh The Mane Event (Pride, #1) by Shelly Laurenston Hounded (Iron Druid Chronicles, #1) by Kevin Hearne Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas The Luxe (Luxe, #1) by Anna Godbersen Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione

From My Pantry Shelves~ I went a little nuts here...
5. Chocolate Dipped Strawberries: You don't seem to be into contemporary romance that much, but here are three great, "fuzzy feeling" ones.
Fallen from Grace (don't mind the icky cover), Bet Me and The Frog Prince (surprisingly good book!)
6. Chocolate Fondue: I could've put a million books down for this category, but here are some of my favs... A Hunger Like No Other, Love My Way and Midnight Man
7. Dark Chocolate: The Darkest Hour, action packed, sexy as hell and touching all at the same time. The Last Werewolf, This one surprised me. It has horror, humor and a bit of romance. The Alienist, There is no romance in this book, but I was happy to see it on your TBR since it's one of my all time favorite reads.
8. Chocolate Covered Ants: I should've put all those contemporaries here, but instead I have one new author, Raphael, the start of a GREAT series; one new subgenre (fantasy) Warprize the first of a trilogy; and one new genre (historical) Her One Desire, not your typical cast of characters.

Fallen From Grace by Laura Leone Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie The Frog Prince by Elle Lothlorien A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole Love My Way by Bridget Midway Midnight Man (Midnight, #1) by Lisa Marie Rice The Darkest Hour (KGI, #1) by Maya Banks The Last Werewolf by Glen Duncan The Alienist (Dr. Laszlo Kreizler, #1) by Caleb Carr Raphael (Vampires in America, #1) by D.B. Reynolds Warprize (Chronicles of the Warlands, #1) by Elizabeth Vaughan Her One Desire by Kimberly Killion

Buddy Reads
9. From Your TBR: Tiger Eye by Marjorie M. Liu has been on my TBR as well, for far too long.
10. From My TBR: Lover Reborn, Since these only come out once a year, I'll try and put off reading it, but I sincerely doubt I'll make it through the month. It wouldn't take much to twist my arm :)

Tiger Eye (Dirk & Steele, #1) by Marjorie M. Liu Lover Reborn (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #10) by J.R. Ward

Ok, hopefully this list is worth the wait and you'll find something in here you really want to read.
Happy Reading!

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Hi Polina, thanks for the awesome recs! As of right now, I'll definitely go with How to Knit a Wild Bikini since it also fits into this month's challenge. I'm also thinking about A Lot Like Love since I love the author and Beautiful Disaster just because of the controversy :)

Thanks again!

HI!!!! Sorry for the delay. I hope you like your recs. If not, I'll be more than happy to pick again for you.

From Your Pickee's TBR Cupboard:
Chocolate Raisins - If You Desire by Kresley Cole- you've given her books mostly high marks so, I wanted to give you a slight nudge to move on to the next one in this series.
Nut Clusters - Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James- She is a funny writer. I laughed out loud more than once.
Truffles - Skin Game by Ava Gray
Very nice cover! ; )
Hot Cocoa - Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare or Once and Always by Judith McNaught
Clockwork Angel sounds really good, both ratings and storyline. Once and Always is definitely a good book to cozy up to.

From Your Pantry Shelves:
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries - A Kingdom of Dreams by Judith McNaught- such a wonderful love story
Chocolate Fondue - Dirty by Megan Hart- Starts out hot and steamy, but so much more.
Dark Chocolate - Black Ice by Anna Stuart- Not much romance, just a lot of action and a hot lead male character
Chocolate Covered Ants - First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones or The Endearment by Lavyrle Spencer
First Grave was a fun read about a female grim reaper and Lavyrle writes some of the most heartwarming stories- this one is really sweet one.

Buddy Reads:
From Their TBR Extreme Exposure by Pamela Clare- we both have this one on our TBR- looks like a good one to read together.
From Your TBR -The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson or The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern- I've been eyeing both books for a while now- one of these could be a fun buddy read

Happy reading!

Thank you for the great rec's Miss! I don't know which ones to pick!

I will do one of the buddy reads with you if you have the time. I have Tropic of Cancer on hand, and I requested What Happened to Goodbye from the library. I'm third in line so we will see if it gets here in time. If this one doesn't work, I have Along For the Ride by Sarah Dessen, we could substitute that one if the other one does not come in. Let me know which one works best for you.

As for my other choice, I try to read at least two picks, I am leaning towards The Mysterious Affair at Styles, Kiss an angel, First Grave on the Right, or Grand Sophy. I will keep you posted on what I finally choose.

Have fun with your rec's! =0)

I have a copy of I am Number Four, so I'm good to go. I haven't done a buddy read before, so I'm excited. Furthermore, I just saw the movie, and I enjoyed it a lot, so I'm looking forward to reading the book.

Tiffanny Laura

I hope that you find something that you'll enjoy. There were quite a few books on your TBR List that I've read and enjoyed.

From Your Pickee's TBR Cupboard:

Chocolate Raisins -
Silence and Dark Flame

Nut Clusters -
The Accidental Werewolf and Playing With Fire

Truffles - Eternal

Hot Cocoa - Eternal Rider and Giving Chase: I've read both of these books and really really liked them both. They are also the first in a series, and I've loved both entire series.

From Your Pantry Shelves:
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries - Delirium and The Summer I Turned Pretty: Delirium is really good. I love the author!! This book and it's sequel as well as Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver are all worth reading. The Summer I turned Pretty is a great beach/summer read.

Chocolate Fondue - Riding the Storm: This book has a lot of heat to it :)

Dark Chocolate - Angels and Demons: Great suspense!

Chocolate Covered Ants - Faith & Fidelity

Buddy Reads:
1. Dragon Bound
2. When You Dare

I'd be interesting in Buddy Reading either of these books if you'd like. :)

I hope you find something you enjoy!
