I hope so... I love alex!

Julien 'had' brain cancer. The tumors were removed. So right now he is in remission! But um, the whole cure thing breaks down like this. They prefer you have it at 18. Being cured early could lead to complication but there is no cap on the age after 18. You could get it anytime after 18 just preferably bot before. And the doctors wanted Julien to delay the cure because he would likely die. He explains about the prior surgeries leaving scar tissue and stuff. Anyway 'he' pushed for the cure early because he wanted to die which he later tells Lena.

Anyway, when I read Delirium, I fell in love with Alex, I loved the way he thinks, the way he talks, etc... You could see how much he loves Lena.
When I started reading Pandemonium I couldn't believe that he was dead, and I spent the first 150 pages or so waiting for him to make an appearance, then I realized that maybe he really is dead and I stopped waiting.
I didn't like Julian at first but the more I read the more I liked him, he's been through a lot; being sick and having to watch his father killing his brother and all, but he turned out to be strong. And by the end of the book I found out that I love him too. And since I thought Alex was dead, I wanted Lena to move on and Julian seemed like a great guy to be with.
And then the shock of the last word in the book (Alex)!! I really don't know who to choose or who is better for Lena, If she chooses Alex, she'll break Julian's heart and vise versa.
But then I think maybe Alex has changed so maybe it won't be so hard to chose , or maybe Lena will realize that she only fell for Julian because she missed Alex. I really don't know what to think !! And I have no idea how Lauren Oliver will end "Requiem", and how she'll make Lena choose.

he has been through a lot too. he had to grow up as an orphan living on his own and everythin. he risked his life for her gave up his freedom for her!!
i dont hate julian but i honestly wish he just falls for some one else or just disappears. i want her to end up with alex and thats final. i feel like the love for alex z more real and julian was more of a rebound to heal the broken heart and pain

agreed.

I Agree 100% that is how I felt reading the books!!! The clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare is even more difficult to tell which guy will get the girl, fabulous book :)

But yeh, Alex all the way!!! Im still hoping Lena ends up with him, he's awesome :)

But yeh, Alex al..."
Did he really get the cure? I read it a while ago and don't remember that part.

i agree with u !!! julian was a rebound for her and alex poor alex my heart aches for him.

If Alex really died, would he like it if Lena is miserable and sad? I mean, Lena believed that Alex is dead, how can some of you blame her?
Don't say that Julian don't know "how to love" because he's just like Lena in Delirium. If Julian don't know what love is, then why did he chose to stay with Lena in the end? Is it because he wanted to stay alive? Of course not because once upon a time, he is a strict cure believer. If he's still that boy Lena met at the DFA meeting, would he still run away with Lena? Is it because he can't take the embarrassment if he stayed? Definitely not. Of course he fell in love at Lena too. Yeah, Lena fell in love with Julian way too fast, but love does not know any time.
You might think that I am too biased. I don't hate Alex. In fact, I love him so much, who wouldn't anyway? If you'll ask me, I like Alex's attitude and all but I want Lena to end up with Julian anyway. Kinda messed up, right? But come to think of it: Alex is Lena's first love. Not entirely true love. Anything can change. Maybe Julian is for her, not Alex. You couldn't weigh someone's loyalty and love based on his number of sacrifices.
And oh, I thought Lauren Oliver made it clear that this isn't actually a love triangle?

I'm not sure what to choose.

Why does Lena have to make such a dilemma???

I do like Julian. A lot, actually. But still. Alex. Just Alex.
Lauren Oliver please let Lena end up with Alex. Please, please, please.

I agree! :)

Yeah - that sounds about right to me.
Yeah - that sounds about right to me.

I just reread this and I realize that this is a very long, ramble-y comment. But this is the most coherent way I could vocalize my thoughts.

I will always be Team Alex, despite that she fell in love w/ another guy.

These triangles are annoying and they are getting cliche and they suck.

I guess they add interest and excitement to a book and I know others really enjoy reading it. But I agree with you. I just don't like them. And more often than not, the book becomes governed by the love triangle, especially with a book about love, with a female perspective.

Yep, i know, i mean, sometimes love triangles can be interesting, only SOMETIMES, But other times the only thing that they do is to drive CRAZY the reader and at the end the book the reader ends up hating the main character or the author.

That's what makes Divergent so AWESOME!! There is no LOVE-Triangle in it... And Four is HOT enough without another interest
AND YEAHH Veronica Roth is a genious.
p.s. I wrote triangles instead of triangles whoopsie :)

God, u read my mind! AGH, I KNEW this was coming, but I was hoping the 2nd love interest would at least be a BIT swoon-worthy like Alex was; to a point where I wouldn't be annoyed with him. No such luck. Whenever Lena and Julian had a "moment" (I felt like they're whole relationship was just a fling, honestly), I kept NARROWING my eyes, praying for Alex to quickly make his dang reaapearence. I hated the sequel-not just because of the absence of Alex, but due to the fact that I saw too many holes in PANDEMONIUM, and was disappointed how it didn't even match up to DELIRIUM- romance and all. So from the first point that I realized there's a second guy, and had the deep suspicion Alex would return, TEAM ALEX ALL THE WAY!

Seriously, Alex. Julian felt flat to me, wimpy, and he's o-kay, but the relationship with Lena felt more like lust than love... so Alex all the way (who I was rooting for even before I started the 2nd book cuz I had a deep suspicion he was alive.) And I really think she truly LOVES Alex more than Julian-I mean, c'mon! She keeps MENTIONING him in her thoughts whenever she's with Juli-blah! And comparing the two! And yeah, she does say a line that DOES irk me: "I feel more comfortable with him than any other person, even Alex." Honestly, I don't buy it. Lena and Juli-blah's relationship felt waaay to forced to me. Yeesh, Alex, Alex, ALEX!!! <3 Anyone notice, though, that Lauren made Alex sound less good-looking compared to Juli-blah in the second book? I mean, she basically CHANGED his descript! In DELIRIUM, Alex's described to have golden brown hair with lovely autumn eyes that change-kinda like how Juli-blah's does. In the second book, Alex's described to have AUBURN hair and BROWN eyes. Hmmm. Anyone catch that? It's REALLY bugging me!
Alex until the end! ~<3
Alex until the end! ~<3

Bugs me too, why would she detone his hot looks? He is so much more than auburn hair and brown eyes.
