Hi, I'm Michael from south Florida. Fairly new to cozies, but have enjoyed what I've read so far. Nice go get away from the hardcore and read something more focused on characters than mayhem.

Welcome to Cozy Mystery Corner Michael. Cozy mysteries focus more on the characters and on solving the puzzle with less attention on the crime. You will find lots of new mysteries to read here.

Welcome, Michael! I'm with you in preferring stories that focus on character, maybe have some humor, and can create suspense and tension without a lot of gore.
Hi Michael. Cozies are great for relaxing and getting to know the characters and the setting. And there are so many different themes and varying degrees of seriousness.
Hi , I am Elizabeth Dent and most people call me liz . I am retired and loving it . love Cozy mysteries. I am on Goodreads. I Live in AlabamaI love to read good books.

Welcome to the group Liz. I grew up in Alabama and visit family there several times a year. In fact, I'm heading to 'Bama for Mother's Day.
Welcome Liz. I hope you'll join in the discussions. Maybe you'll find some new cozies and introduce us to some of your favorites.

Welcome Nicki :-) Agatha Christie is my all-time favourite mystery author...! And I love cakes too :-)
Hello, everyone! My name is Linda, and I'm in central Minnesota, not far from the Twin Cities. I love to read, and although I read just about everything in my younger years, now that I'm retired I stick to the cozy side of the street for the most part, although I enjoy any mystery that doesn't have in-your-face violence, serial killers, children or women in jeopardy, spies, or torture. Currently I'm reading one of Nancy Atherton's Aunt Dimity books, a series I really love.

Welcome to the group Linda. Aunt Dimity is definitely cozy. If you like paranormal mysteries, you might want to try Carolyn Hart's series starting with Ghost at Work or Lowcountry Boil by Susan M. Boyer.

Hi Linda. It looks like we have a lot of books in common - even more since I added some of yours to my tbr. I hope you'll find some books here to add to your tbr.
Greetings, everyone! I am Anne Louise Bannon, but folks just call me Anne. I am constantly reading. My biggest problem is stopping reading long enough to post reviews on GoodReads. Or participate in groups. But I saw this one and actually have a couple friends on it already.I live in Southern California. I read a lot of different things, but seem to prefer women authors. Some faves include Crocodile on the Sandbank and the Lord Peter Whimsy series, though I do like Aunt Dimity. Right now I'm reading the latest in Sharon Short's Stain Busting Mysteries.

Hi Anne, welcome to the group! Years ago my sister and I went through a phase where we were reading mysteries by female authors and with female protagonists. I really enjoyed the stain busting series, and just discovered Amelia Peabody last year.

The setting for Boyer's novel is similar - an island off the coast of South Carolina - but the MC is a PI who carries her gun in her designer handbag. Her childhood best friend shows up from time to time to offer comments and advice. A bit unnerving since she's been dead for several years! The first one won the Agatha Award for best first mystery.

Hi My name is Terrie Moran and I am a huge cozy fan. I saw you were reading Carbs and Cadavers (a supper club mystery) and since I always wanted to read that series, I decided to buy the book and join-up.

Also can't wait to meet new cozy fans and of course catch up with old friends.
