Hello, My name is Denise. I live in metropolitan Detroit, and I'm a pretty much non-stop cozy mystery reader and author. I like the cozy genre because the violence is "off-screen" but the drama, the mystery, and the puzzle-solving is right there in front of me. I'm currently re-reading "The Deep End," the first of the Country Club Murders by Julie Mulhern. (It was so good I have to read it twice!) I've recently enjoyed two of the Agatha Raisin books, and I'm a long-time fan of Earlene Fowler's Benni Harper books as well. Jana DeLeon's character, Fortune, of the Sinful Ladies' Society in her Miss Fortune series, is also a current favorite. But because of my voracious reading habits, I always seem to have a new favorite at hand.

Welcome to our group Denise.
I discovered The Deep End this summer because it was on a GR summer reading list. I really enjoyed the mystery, the characters and the 70s flashback.

Hi Veronica, Christin, and Denise. Welcome to the group!
Veronica - for a few years my sister and I only read cozies by women with a female protagonist.
It sounds like you've got a good selection of books to choose from, and that you read a lot.
Denise, I think my favorite is usually the one I just finished :)

Hey, My name is Lacy. I'm from the triad area of North Carolina. I love to read all types, but cozies are top of my list! Some of my favorite authors are Laura Childs, Cleo Coyle, Joanne Fluke, and semi-cozy Julia Spencer-Fleming (to name just a few). I can't wait to hear what you all are enjoying and finding some new great reads.
Welcome Lacy. You will definitely find new cozies to read here. Check out our monthly featured series and the favorite series discussion in the Cozy Q&A folder.

Hi Jennifer. Welcome to Cozy Mystery Corner.
Hi Lacy and Jennifer, welcome to the group! I hope you'll find new cozies here, and share some of your favorites,
Thanks! So far I am really enjoying it! I have been reading some of the older stuff on here. It's exciting to see such enthusiasm for good books.
Hi! My name is Annu and I live in Bangalore, India. I'm a cozy fan :) So excited to see this group here.
Welcome Annu. Have you read the Vish Puri, Private Investigator mysteries by Tarquin Hall? The author lived in India for years. The mysteries are fun to read but I wonder how well he describes the culture.
Thanks for the welcome Tina and Nell :) No, I haven't read any of his books yet. Although he's quite popular here as I have seen his books in almost all book stores, probably should get my hands on them.
Welcome Annu! You're just in time to join in our November group reads.
And to all our newer members - Nell runs a great monthly challenge to help members continue series that they enjoy. Check out the guidelines here:

Welcome to all the new members who joined the group after I last commented in this discussion thread :-)
I've been traveling and haven't had an opportunity to check this thread in awhile. I want to shout out a big welcome to those who have joined the group since then: Veronica, Christin, Denise, Lacy and Annu! You'll find lots of good reading suggestions here, and lots of fellow readers and authors (like me) to hang out with. Happy reading to you all.
Hello. Mystery is my favorite genre so I enjoy reading most of the sub-mystery groups. Looking forward to cozy talk with the group.
Welcome MsG. You'll love this group. I've read more books this year than I ever have because of them. It's just so much fun.
Hello everyone! My name is Kate and I live in the Midwest. I love to read cozy mysteries and I'm glad to have found this group.
Hello, my name is Catharina and I'm from Germany. Some months ago I began to read cozy mysteries and I really like them! Unfortunately there a only few cozies in Germany like M.C. Beaton (just six books!) or Nancy Atherton, so I have to order books from other countries. I hope to discover many, many new cozies in this group and have a nice talk about them :)
Dakota - I moved your post to the Authors and Bloggers topic since it's more of a promo for yourself and your book. If you want to do another intro post mentioning that you're an author without all the other book-related info, that would be great.
Welcome Catharina! I'm pretty new here too and have already found loads of new books! Sure you will too.

However, I usually manage to get a good variety of Cozy Mysteries through www.amazon.de. Maybe you can check out this website too. Happy Reading! :-)
Welcome to the group Catharina! I hope you're able to find a good source for cozies, especially if you keep adding them to your tbr.
Welcome Dakota! I always wanted to be named Dakota :) I hope you've learned to love cold weather, it's as the perfect excuse to curl up and read good books :)

Hello!I'm Margaret, I live in Minnesota and I love to read, especially cozy mysteries and especially in the winter when it's too cold to do much else!
Welcome to the group, MsG, Kate, Catharina, and Margaret! Your to-read list is going to grow by leaps and bounds. ;-)
Hi Margaret, welcome to the group! I imagine winters in Minnesota are the perfect incentive for reading :)
Hi! I'm Salena, and I'm from Colorado. I can't wait to delve into this wonderful group! I adore a good cozy (obviously, lol) I'm looking forward to meeting you all!
Welcome to the group Margaret and Selena.
I do a lot of reading in the winter too. I live in CT. There are a lot of winter days when curling up in my reading chair with a good mystery and a hot cup of tea are all I want to do.

Hi! My name is Jean and I love Cozies, however, have slacked-off reading them of late. I plan to correct that in 2016 and am looking forward to a fun time with this group.
