I haven't read any Ender books or Redwell, reallllly disliked the one Salinger book I read, but I do like Steinbeck... or I've recently discovered I do. :)

But, Salinger and Steinbeck probably don't come up often because this is a SF&F group, as are most of the ones we are in together. Just sayin'.

This, exactly this. I've been through some extremely tragic experiences lately, and I can share it in that group and receive support from friends, and I'm comfortable doing that because it's private. I couldn't share what I went through publicly, and certainly wouldn't want to anywhere you could see.

I still love Martin, but not his Song of Ice and Fire as much just because it has gone too commercial just because of the show, I tried to recommend the books to others back when Feast came out, nobody would read it. Plus I think that is what everybody thinks about when Martin comes to mind, he was an author before Song of Ice and Fire. Just wondering how many out there has read his other works, or even know he wrote other materials others than Song of Ice and Fire. I fear at least to the masses, not many.

Different groups, with different mods, behave...well...differently.

I'm not the rule setter here, or the big cheese, or any of that. I'm just the most addicted to GR so I come off as most vocal.

As such, I figure I can just mod things my way with a light touch on the reigns as it were.

It's not like I'm here smacking folks into line or anything.

You really should read Ender's Game, its just one of those books that everyone seems to read no matter what. The Redwall graphic novels does not do the series justice, you should at least read one of the books, but the best way to experience it is to here the autor and a full cast read the books on audio.

My major problem is that all of you find it a few laughs at my expense, meaning that all of you don't even take this seriesly. You all think this all a joke and a party that is all fun and whatnot. But it is not to me, its not funny its get annoying, especially you because you started all this. Can't a guy voice his own opinion before you starting jumping to conclusions and bring all your friends with you with the pitch forks and torches. At the end leaving my backs against the walls with no way to run or hide. You are no better than the people in the past who accused others of witchcraft, and I'm the witch.
