Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments Thats the part i like about Twilight. Edward has a very cynical sense of humor.

But thats it. He has mood swings. which i hate.

Diana (higura_natume) | 931 comments he's lived for a century and the hormones didn't kick in until bella came and now he's paying...

Brigid ✩ lol

message 254: by Brent (new)

Brent (brentguy) | 69 comments "Hey i dont think that ALL Twilight-likers are brainless!! Just the ones that join the group and make topics like "Twilght haters are retards" Those are the brainless ones."

It seems, to me, that the Twilight lovers came first, and voiced their love and obsessions about the books. Then, the twilight haters came and started calling them brainless, which caused an equal reaction from the lovers.

So ... I think you can see where I'm going with this—not that it was meant to offend anyone, I just wanted to express an observation.

message 255: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments I dont care who came first! They come into our groups and start saying things like "You guys just have bad taste! You cant appreciate a hot guy when you see one!" Im like wtf??

message 256: by Court (new)

Court Its bc the Haters come into the Twilight Lovers group and say stuffz like that...

message 257: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 931 comments dude, i love twilight but im TOTALLY against doing that

only a**holes do that (since it's the only real motivation for that is to f*** everything up)

message 258: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ yeah i don't go into twilight haters groups. if they really want to sit there going "i hate twilight" "me too" "yaay the end" they can do that. they have their opinion, i have mine. i'm not going to diss them just cuz they don't agree w/me; that's stupid. it's not like i'm going to change their minds. and they're not going to change mine. so twilight lovers should stop saying that twilight haters are stuck up, and twilight haters should stop saying that twilight lovers are a bunch of idiots who drool over a guy who doesn't exist, everyone should just get over themselves, and the world will be a happy place.

message 259: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 931 comments and id be a hypocrite if i did

i mean, i have a few liberal people in my school who treat me pretty badly just on the fact that i have quite a few conservative views on life

i can't hate them and talk back if i went in those groups (and that would suck)

message 260: by Chandani (last edited Dec 11, 2008 06:55PM) (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments I was invited to a Jacob haters group, not a lovers group. I was also invited to a 'Haters for Twilight are freaks' group, and joined to help the poor souls with their grammar. Then i left.

Well our convos in Twilight Haters group are a bit more interesting that that....we have Haters fiction (opposite of fan fiction) and T.A.C and the Hall of shame, its pretty fun. :)

message 261: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 931 comments yeah sorry

i could only join a BD hating group cuz i still love twilight

message 262: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller those lovers sound like the HM lovers, huh, Diana?

I do love Edward/Twilight but I do understand all your points. Yes, it's flawed. What book isn't flawed? I happen to enjoy it.

Midnight Sun is the best thing ever. If SM doesn't finish it, I'm gonna be SO effing pissed.

message 263: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller Excuse my french

message 264: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 931 comments Midnight sun is awesome

she better finish it and put in as many jasper moments as possible!

message 265: by Brent (new)

Brent (brentguy) | 69 comments Midnight Sun?

message 266: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments Ugh its just Twilight but in the over protective sparkle-like-a-gay-parades point of view. (Edward)

Yes every book is flawed, but these flaws were so major....i cant just ignore them.

message 267: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 931 comments you mean sparkle-like-gay-parades (sorry, i just had to do that since it was a bit ironic)

and i just want to read it cuz it has a lot more jasper and i love him

message 268: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments lol

message 269: by Yomara (new)

Yomara (ymalcal) ok Ailis.. have u even read the books?
i have a friend who keeps trashing the books just like u.. but he hasnt readd the books, so please at least tell me u have sumwhere 2 actually draw ur conclusions 4rm..
many people i know say the wont read the books.. cuz it has a horrible plot and ect. but they gave it a try and loved them.. so get of ur high horse and read the books.. and then form ur opinion..

message 270: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ i know. it's like, ppl who don't read it are like "omigod it's so stupid". and all the ppl who read it and hate it give me the exact same arguments every time.

that's why i'm getting soooo sick and tired of arguing over twilight all the time. can't we all just agree to disagree?

message 271: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 931 comments jasper was going to kill bella but edward and alice stopped him!

i bet you're sad chadani (;P)

message 272: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments We could agree to disagree but thats no fun.....And Twilight lovers tend to give me the same argument too "Not every book is perfect" "Edward is so hot!" "Bella loves him! Cant you see that?" "Lalala im not listening!!"

Lol yes i was a bit sad.

message 273: by Court (new)

Court i lurve it but i'm not obbsessed, SM's writing relle suckz big toe..but the way the plot and stuffz is uh...presented? is good..

message 274: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments The plot, or Idea was good, but she stalled like wayyy too much! And after meeting Edward everytime she see's him she has to take three paragraphs explaining how hott he is i mean JEEEEZZZZ.
She was eating her cereal for like 5 pg's in Twilight tho. :P

message 275: by Yomara (new)

Yomara (ymalcal) well u guys say shes a bad wrighter.. but she really isnt.. she uses a lot of idioms, and she personifies her characters in a way that her readers can understand them better.. the plot can get a little repetative @ times but thats wat makes it a good series.. for example Harry Potter always has the same plot, its just presented in distinct ways.. and BOTH books are great, and have been on the best sellers list for many weeks @ a time.. it really depends on ur attitude going into the books.. u cant understand the full force of the plot if ur trashing the book every minute ur reading it.. id say its one of those books u just have 2 read in our culture.

message 276: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments It is true that SM uses great vocabulary, but on the note of Bella relating with girls across the nation by being clumsy--i just see it as stereotypical.
Well if you think about it Twilight has the same plot for pretty much all of the books.

Emil vampire wants to kill Bella! Oh no! Edward comes to save the day! Yay!!!
Only in New Moon Jacob saved her from Laurent, but thank goodness Deadwar--er i mean Edward was there for the voulturi. In Breaking dawn Bella has the baby and there are lots of other things, but the bottom like is that evil Vamps are trying to kill the Cult--er i mean Cullens, and Bella throws herself into the middle of it.

message 277: by Yomara (last edited Dec 14, 2008 10:19PM) (new)

Yomara (ymalcal) i dont think ur little puns r funny or effective in any way Chandani.. and Bella's clumsyness isnt wat we relate 2.. its the fact that shes completly in love with sum1.. and she had no power over that feeling.. and most of us r just flat line jealous cuz she did find sum1 who she can completly love and that she has sum1 who loves her 2 the point that he rather hurt himself than put her in danger.. ok fine his plan doesnt work.. but its the thought that counts..
and by the way thats the way MOST if not ALL series work.. they have a reacurring plot, or else they wouldnt b a series..
and even if it was a CULT which its NOT id love 2 b a Cullen and id love 2 have an Edward, no matter wat it implys.

message 278: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 931 comments there's something that needs to put characters apart from others (for bella it happened to be clumsiness)

and cullen isn't a cult cuz first of all, you can leave whenever you want to (no one's obliged to stay)

although realistically speaking, i get repetitive with my language sometimes and im sure im not the only one. if bella's telling us the story, getting repetitive must not be THAT bad

message 279: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ i'm kinda repetitive in my writing too ... i've been told that i write like Stephenie Meyer ... so i get kinda freaked out when ppl are like "stephenie meyer sucks at writing!" gaaah

message 280: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments Yomara i would hate to have an Edward. *shudders* A boyfriend who has his sibling kidnap me? ugh no wayy jose.

" rather hurt himself than put her in danger.. ok fine his plan doesnt work.. but its the thought that counts.. " Eh i hate that saying. "Its the thought that counts" No not really.
I mean if someone gave me an empty box for my birthday and then said "Its the thought that counts" i would probably still be pissed.

I respect that Bella is in total love but i get sooo mad at her when she just goes an throws her whole life away for her vampire BF!! I mean she got accepted to frigin Dartmouth! But she pretends to go there and instead marries and gets knocked up by a vamp.
Nice Bella.

I just dont like the series. I think Bella is annoying, whiny and a horrible herion if you could call her that, seeing as Edwards always saving her.
I was a Die-hard Twi-hard for a few month when i first read the books, but i am so over it. Everythime i see a Twilight movie billboard i swear i wanna punch something.

(and no this has nothing to do with my anger problems. lol jk)

message 281: by Sarah jean (new)

Sarah jean blank (Sarahjean) ITS FRIDGEN DISNEY PRINCESS~~

begining bella is:
"oh i am so sorry for my self im ugly. no1 likes me. i hate this place.

Bella finds prince charming (edward):

"omg life is butous everythings perfect! oh i have got not a care in this world! to prove it i'll get pregnet at 18! omg i love myself all thanks to my stalk boyfriend, edward!"

message 282: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments LOlz!

message 283: by Sarah jean (new)

Sarah jean blank (Sarahjean) i wrote that in my LA reading letter :) i hope i get an A!

message 284: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments U probably will unless ur teah is a Twi-hard...omg that would suck. I saw a teacher reading Eclipse today. *gag*

message 285: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ my sister is reading eclipse. so is my mom. they both love it. lolz

message 286: by Court (new)

Court i don't personnally know anyone who doesn't like Twilight..

message 287: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments I think Twilight sucks really bad. My sister isint Twi-hard but she didnt think it was the worst book...maybe like scond to worst. The worst book being Breaking dawn.

message 288: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 931 comments well unless its 3rd person, words getting repetitive is understandable

i don't have a very wide vocabulary so i might use the same words to describe something (especially something as INDESCRIBABLE as Edward!) XD

it's part of the 'voice' if you ask me

i mean, at least she's not saying like every two words (or if you want to go extreme, swear words every sentence)

message 289: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments No but it gets annoying how everytime she sees edward "she is stunned by his utter beauty"
*gag*

She uses the word 'velvety' and 'murmur' at least once every 3 paragraphs.

Brigid i really like your writing. I think its much better than SM's! More interesting to say the least.

message 290: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ haha thanks

message 291: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments :D

message 292: by Sarah jean (new)

Sarah jean blank (Sarahjean) omg! my LA teacher grades 60 reading letters a week and she said that the smallest amount about twilight shes gotten is like or something i was just like WTNW? i read my friends it was like

"edward and bellas love seems sooo true and peacful i love the balence between love and violence in it!" like wtnw???????

*wtnw: what the naughty word

message 293: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller ????????????????????????????????

message 294: by Ynna (new)

Ynna | 1 comments i really like twilight because of it's vampire thing..but the love story is very common..there's so many reviews that stephenie's writing is not as good as harrypotter.and i certainly agree to that!because harry potter is waayyy more of an interesting book than twilight...:]

message 295: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments Ive never even read Harry potter and i think that the books are crap. Our hate fiction at Twiligth haters is more creative!

message 296: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ well it's not really fair to judge a book if you haven't read it ... although i did read the first two and a half HP books and gave up. they just didn't appeal to me.

message 297: by Brent (last edited Dec 20, 2008 08:36AM) (new)

Brent (brentguy) | 69 comments Chandani wrote: "We could agree to disagree but thats no fun.....And Twilight lovers tend to give me the same argument too "Edward is so hot!" "Bella loves him! Cant you see that?" "Lala..."

Those are the people you should ignore, because they're brainwashed. But for the rest of us that have valid arguments, what you just said could be considered offensive.

BY THE WAY:

I just bought Eclipse and Breaking Dawn yesterday, so I'll be trying to read 'em before break is over :p

message 298: by Brent (last edited Dec 20, 2008 08:44AM) (new)

Brent (brentguy) | 69 comments ALSO,
The Twilight books, with their romance and all, are a nice break from my usual books with a minuscule amount of romance, such as Brisingr by Christopher Paolini.

message 299: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 931 comments seriously

i honestly only WISH that jasper would come save me

im not going around saying, "jasper's coming for me soon and you know it!"

message 300: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments The so called "Romance" in Twilight is what i call an abusive relationship. Overprotectiveness, masochism, lust for blood and such. I have nothing against romance books. I loveed Nick and Norahs infinite playlist, This Lulaby and tons of other teen <3 stories. But Twilight was just.....BLECH
