Kenny (kjamesmobile) | 905 comments Thank you! Now I can officially sleep at night without crying about not having your forgiveness! YAY!

message 403: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) Good for you!! You're welcome. Doesn't it feel good to have that off your chest?

message 404: by Kenny (new)

Kenny (kjamesmobile) | 905 comments Let me tell you. I was having nightmares that I wouldn't be forgiven by the two of you. I was breaking out in a cold sweat just thinking about it... It scared me so bad. I thought I would have to go another day without getting forgiveness... That would have killed me. No doubt.

message 405: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) Oh, now I feel all bad for you xD.

.....umm,whats a mormon?

im not stupid but idk

message 409: by Riley (new)

Riley (booksarecool) There was an explanation earlier...
And I live in Mo's state too Kenny. Weird. ANYWAYYYYYY, Yeah, I don't know if it's just because LDS is such a big religion here, but in 2nd grade, when we first moved here, kids were always asking me if I was baptized. When I replied, "No." They would always tell me that I was going to go to hell. 2nd Grade. BUT! I figured out a way to get back at them whenever they ask me that. I say,
"Have you read the Da Vinci Code?"
"No."
"Well, you're gonna go to Hell."

message 410: by Riley (new)

Riley (booksarecool) And then what's really funny is when they read the Da Vinci Code and start doubting their religion. (NO OFFENSE TO MORMON PEOPLE, I JUST LIKE MY PRIVACY!)

message 411: by [deleted user] (new)

yeah i hate it when ppl get in my business and stuff....hey do you think im rude?

message 412: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) No offense is taken, I'm just incredibly confused, Riley... o.O

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ (tripoddog) | 32 comments If you don't like what Mormons have to say why are you around them? Go do whatever away from them and there won't be a conflict.

Ailis | 227 comments well actuall brigid alice in wonderland is a bad influence! in the movie the caterpillar smokes weed! ...or was it crack?... totAlly irelavent but true haha. i hate those stupid moms against something like emos or rock groups! SOOOO annoying

message 417: by Ailis (new)

Ailis | 227 comments and stephanie meyer has the right to write whatever she wants!... but so do i and i say the book is bad. I mean it's written poorly just the way that the characters never do anything wrong or if they do meyer says that it was good in some way and everything turns out ok instead of making the characters make up for it. also bella is HORRIBLE. she's prob. the main reason i hate the book!

She's pathetic and way too obsessed! she's totally not feminist and if it's a chick book why would she write something so anti-feminist?

also she mentions retarded things like how many chews it took to eat her hotdog or how she talks about every shower and how squeky clean she got! wth who needs to hear that? get on with the plot

also on every page bella reinstates "I LOVE YOU" just in different wording like he's perfect OR he smells good. that makes it trashy.

I'd actually probably like it if there wasn't so much hype about it but since there is it's not just another bad romance that's kinda fun to read, it's an expensive one that people examen because it's highly rated by fans (but not by real critics! look it up) and then some people talk nonstop about it. I mean it's ok to be obsessed with a book but make it a good one or a classic! one that can be appreciated by many different groups. one that you on't have to squeal about but can actually back up by spitting out your fav. quote, you know? this debate could be about any trashy romance but twilight is so hyped up and in HARD COVER. it just doesn't DESERVE all that1!

Brent (brentguy) | 69 comments Ailis wrote: "She sure has an imagination BUT ITS NOT A GOOD ONE!"

A nice imagination is never bad—ever. Please don't say that again, as it horrifies me every time someone does say it. An imagination to me is like a bible to a hardcore church-goer.

I've never seen a shirt that says "I heart EC!!!"

And just like every little war in the world, the Twi-lovers and haters struggle for ground that will, in the end, mean little. After awhile, this senseless back and forth will turn into mindless insults and protests with ineffectual remarks that contain little evidence, or evidence that can be seen from multiple angles.

So, you see where I stand:

F*** arguments.

Brent (brentguy) | 69 comments ☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~GeT bOrN aGaiN~*~ wrote: "But I mean, Stephenie Meyers is promoting that is okay to get married and pregnant at 18. "

By writing it in a book, that doesn't mean that she's promoting the idea that it's OK to get married and pregnant at 18; it's simply another part of the plot not meant to be taken seriously. I could write a first-person angled book where the main character plans to get inside the US political system, and slowly tear the country bit to bit, then blow it up, but it would not be real.

It would be a plot in a book . That doesn't mean I'm promoting the destruction of the USA.

You forgot to mention the part where she endured unspeakable pain as the baby ripped her apart from the inside.

OH—and the part where she DIED.

message 425: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments Yeah Brent we understand that its just a book, but what were saying is that there are girls out there who FREAK out over twilight! We dont like the books because we think that it is poorly written, the characters are unrealistic and boring and never learn anything from their actions. Thats why we hate it, though we have other reasons as well.

message 426: by ☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ (last edited Jan 04, 2009 02:48PM) (new)

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ (tripoddog) | 32 comments Brigid said something about getting married at 18 being a conflict. That's not a conflict! That's what Rosie was trying to say! Unspeakable pain has NOTHING to do with her getting married at 18. And if you f**** arguments Brent, why are you in the middle of one now?

But that's not how it should have to be. Mormons should just respect that some people don't like waking up and going to church for an ALL POWERFUL being they don't even believe in.

And Mormons are the only ones that make it a thing about going and converting or recruiting members to the church. Other religions don't do NEAR as much...

message 430: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments But there usually is a big difference. I mean one likes twiligth and robert pattison and the other... well dosent.

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ (tripoddog) | 32 comments Mrs.Noretta pattinson!!! said: Wow does someone care that Kenny's mormon? That's stupid. And perfect becuase last night I was watching a news channel about some guy name something Black hates all Roman Catholics (it was history..llooong time ago) and it's wrong. You're not all to pray at football games. A guy tried to sue people becuase in the pledge of alliegence it as UNDER GOD. It's stupid. It doesn't matter if you're mormon, christian, jewish,or catholic.

LOL!! Kenny is the one that's against Mormons! Rosie and I are the Mormons! And he's expressing how he feels that Mormons she keep to themselves and stop bugging him.

message 432: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) Thank you :) I feel all happy now! *hugz*

message 433: by Riley (new)

Riley (booksarecool) Well, actually they do get to choose...And, again Khloe, I'm in Utah. I have a lot of Mormon friends, I don't have anything against the fact that they're Mormon. I just don't like it when they try to convert me. And since I'm in Utah and currently not old enough to live by myself and have to live with my parents, it's either be around Mormons or not have a social life. (Sorry, that was a bit confusing.) And my best friend is Mormon. I don't care what religion you are, it's only when you try to get me to do stuff I don't believe in...

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ (tripoddog) | 32 comments Rosie and I don't hold anything against you Riley, Mormons aren't trying to convert you, we're taught to stick up for our religion so if someone does something that you're taught not to do we do what we are taught, say things like "Please don't do that.". Sorry if it is interfering with your life because someone makes a comment like that on behalf of their religion. And we are not trying to convert you!

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ (tripoddog) | 32 comments Thanks Mrs. Noretta Pattinson! I'm glad we agree on something! :)

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ (tripoddog) | 32 comments Lol! Frankly, I don't care. He's aganist Mormonism no matter how many time he denies it! Just look at his posts!

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ (tripoddog) | 32 comments My friend(who is mormon btw) watched this show with her cousins called "American Mormon" and this Mormon guy went around asking people if they knew what a mormon was, and this one dude said: "I think they're like, lizard people from mars that worship John Smith or something." I was like: "o.O" That is totally untrue! And I agree with you Mrs. Noretta Pattinson! He is a dingbat(whatever that is lol!)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments Im sorry im a bity buzzed and so your comment confuddled me.

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ (tripoddog) | 32 comments I'm a little confused too. I know this sounds kind of rude, Chandani, but how would you feel if someone kept making jokes about your religion? Wouldn't you feel at least the slightest offended?

message 441: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments I would probably get mad and yell at them. Im an atheist but my whole family is muslim so we get some pretty mean stuff. Im just trying to say he probably didnt mean to insult you or anything, though he should apologize.
Dungbat is a strange insult though...

message 442: by Mallory (new)

Riley (booksarecool) I don't have anything against you. It's just some mormons (like the ones that tell me I'm going to go to Hell) I don't like. I mean, would you like someone who told you you were going to Hell? Especially if they used to be your best friend until they found out you weren't mormon? I don't have anything against them or their religion.
