Introduction: Newbies say hello and introduce yourself here

I just decided I should get back into it as a sort of New Year's Resolution, so right now I'm in the middle of the third volume of Lucifer among others.
I don't read many superhero works although I'm fond of them (I was into them when I was younger). The universes are just too interconnected and I want endings to my stories now days so I can move on.
It's nice to see all you other fans of the medium!

I come from Italy and now I live in Milan.
I started recently to read again comics/graphic novels. Even if in all my life I have always been being supported by Peanuts :)

I've been reading a lot of graphic-novels lately. I particularly enjoy Deadpool. When he is well done, I just can't stop laughing. Such as every time he introduces Hydra Bob to the "teaching stick."

I'm Zombieslayer/Alienhunter, but please just call me Z (Zom is also acceptable).
I joined because I just happened to notice a friend of mine was in the group and it sounded cool.
I used to read serials of Spider-Man and the X Men when I was 10-11, but about a year ago I started reading trade paperbacks of graphic novels. I love
Kick-Ass by Mark Millar and I just recently finished the Locke and Key series by Joe Hill.

GET YOUR FREE COMIC HERE!
This is the first issue of the “Halfpenny Dreadful Comic,” an imprint from Whorror House Publishing. This comic is loosely based on the pulp magazines that were popular amongst the plebeians in Victorian England. As a result, every effort bar none has been made to ensure that the content of the comic is as scurrilous and even MORE scatological than its 19th Century forbearers. In this issue the undiscerning reader will discover adult themes such as nude women, details of Elvis Presley’s unofficial autopsy and a totally unrepentant misogynist who makes the Taliban look like relentless supporters for women’s liberation.

Sounds freakin' awesome, bro'. We like your style.
Oh, and howdy y'all...lookin' forward to gettin' to know some of you fine folks soon ;)

I'm Rob from Washington State. I love graphic novels. However, I am slow to read them sometimes due to other interests. (Movies, TV Series and Video Games) Right now, Fables and Locke & Key are at the top of my list. I love the old school X-Men (Colossus is my all time favorite). There is nothing wrong with reading The Dark Knight either. That guy is ok in my book. Feel free to follow me or message me. We can chat about whatever.

My name is Sarah and... well, would you believe it? ... I actually love to read graphic novels too! I read them a lot. I also collect them. I enjoy the gems that all publishing houses have to offer, so my interests vary greatly. I am currently voraciously devouring Irredeemable and Invincible.
Some of my favorite authors: Alan Moore, Mark Waid, Peter David
Some of my favorite artists: Alex Ross, Jae Lee, Steve McNiven
Excelsior and all that, you true believers.

I've been reading graphic novels pretty heavily the past 2-3 years. Weekly issues were breaking my bank and i have since I am a library assistant I took advantage of our awesome collections.

I'm a new graphic novel fan as I've just learned to fully appreciate them months ago (after reading The Sandman) and I realize that I'm missing something so here I am, looking to expand my knowledge and reading-verse about them. So far, I'm just trying out the new releases, some old ones that which I found in the Top Graphic Novel list. Thank you for having me.

I'm April, currently living in the UK but moving to Boston, MA with my partner in the upcoming year. I've been a fan of comics since I was old enough to nip to the local comic store around the corner to get them with my sweater jacked up to my chin. I'm following all sorts of new relaunches, as well as reaching into old classics and more independent graphic novels. I'm following Sex Criminals, Lumberjanes, Ant-Man, A-Force, Captain Marvel, Carol Corps, Angela, Wicked and Divine, etc. Mostly ones with female leads/robots if I'm honest. Favourite artists include Chip Zdarsky, Charles Burns, Erika Moen and others. Otherwise, I'm trying to finish Locke and Key.

I'm Camilo from Colombia. I'm a graphic novel and manga fan. Hope to talk about it here.
Thanks!

Name is Alix and I'm from Nova Scotia, Canada. I've always loved comics and graphic novels, but never really got into them until about a year ago when I started dating my boyfriend (he has 3 bookshelves filled with comics and graphic novels, as well as maybe 5 boxes of them!) Since then, my collection has grown so much.
I'm always looking for new comics to read (not that big a fan of the New 52 :/) but I'm really interested in local writers and whatnot. Also horror or anything generally creepy.
My favourites right now are Chew, Batgirl of Burnside, Morning Glories, and Ms. Marvel :)

Hi, just wanted to welcome all the new members. Usually the group moderator that created this group 4 years ago would welcome all the new members. Unfortunately and sadly, he will not be able to do that anymore. Feel free to browse around and let the different group topics give you some new ideas or introduce you to some new graphic novels that would interest you. Good luck.

I am a bookseller who runs a graphic novel section at the shop I work in.
I'm a big fan of a lot of stuff Image are putting out (Saga, Wicked and The Divine etc) but do like DC and Marvel staples as well like X-men and Batman.
Always interested in new stuff :)
Very happy to join you, I have a passion for comics/graphic novels since forever.
My all-time favorites are 20th Century Boys, Sandman, Monster, V for Vendetta, Pluto, Death Note, Calvin&Hobbes, Billy the Kid by Noboru Rokuda. I'm here for insights and recommendations, so thank you for having me!

Hi, I'm Jom from the Philippines. I've been into comics since 2008 while I was still in college. I mostly read DC Comics, Vertigo, Image and other comics from independent publishers. Right now, I'm dipping my toes into European comics like The Incal and Blacksad. My favorite writers include Grant Morrison, Alan Moore, Kurt Busiek, Neil Gaiman and Brian K. Vaughan. Looking forward to reading comics with you guys!

I am currently reading several comic book series, though I plan on adding more books to my reading list soon. I love Jeff Lemire and am following his run on Hawkeye and Descender. Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic are doing a great job on Secret Wars. I love the Star Wars Lando series that Marvel is putting out (Marvel is doing a great job with the license). I follow several Image titles in trade with Trees, Lazarus, and Autumnlands: Tooth and Claw volumes sitting on my to-read shelf. I also plan on picking the latest Wicked and the Divine and Wytches trades ASAP.
October is going to be a big comic book buying month for me-looking forward to Paper Girls from Vaughn and Chiang, Black Magic from Rucka and Scott, Dr. Strange from Aaron and Bachalo, and, of course, one of my favorite writers taking over my beloved X-Men and Old Man Logan :)
I want to get a lot out of this group and enjoy reading all of the commentary on here.

My name is Emilio Suárez and I'm from Puerto Rico. I've been a member of this group for a while, but haven't't introduced myself.
I start digging in graphic novels and comics a couple of months ago. I can say this has expand my knowledge and my taste for literature. Also to writing. I'm a screenwriter (without job, hehe).
I hope to find new friends and and talk to people about stories.
Thank you.

I just got serious about reading again this year and I meant for it to be more novels than comics but I've actually read a good amount of singles and TPBs as well. I am currently obsessed with The Wicked + The Divine. Kieron is the man. If you haven't, check out Young Avengers. I've been obsessed with any and all things regarding Thanos since I became introduced to comics. And man, am I excited for Thanos vs. Deadpool coming out. I also really enjoy Posion Ivy and The Joker. I'm slowly branching out by currently reading Sex Criminals and then Wytches next month.
Feel free to add me as a friend and we can talk about comics anytime.
