I love receiving recommendations for good books!! If I can't buy them now (or get them from the library), they go on my wishlist. If my new library has "Frost Moon" (which right now they have it on the shelf, so hopefully they will when I can get there later this week and get a library card), then yes, I still plan on reading that book. I also decided to buy the digital edition of "Bite My Fire" since it was a fairly cheap price for my Kindle. So, if all else fails, I'll still have the buddy read next week, "Bite My Fire," and if time permits, "Frostbitten."

Thank you again for the picks Suzanne!

So I am going to be reading One for the Money (Stephanie Plum, #1) by Janet Evanovich Moon Called (Mercedes Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs Aftertime (Aftertime, #1) by Sophie Littlefield Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen

I might end up reading all of them actually!

message 509: by Caroline (new)

Caroline (pip_squeak) Oh dear! I haven't actually read any of the top 20 books! Although i've had a couple recommended to me in this and last months pifm challenges, i've also added a couple to my tbr list! Hoping to read some this month! Looking forwrad to reading the hunger games, hope it lives up to its expectaions x x

message 510: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 189 comments Looks like I've read 7 out of the top 20 and 5 are on my TBR list. I'll have to look at the missing ones and see why they passed my notice.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Rossy wrote: "Great job as usual Tania, thank you so much for hosting this month! ^.^

Was it my imagination or did Jim already finish one of his? What is this world coming to?!LOL"

Not only did I already finish one, but so far this month I had to go out of state for a funeral (been back for a couple of hours now), bought several of the others on the list, and am 70% of the way through the sequel to the rec I read. If only I didn't have to work...

D.G. | 4477 comments Delicious Dee Challenge Addict wrote: "well, i gave you the recommendation, now you can't complain ;)"

No, I can't LOLOLOL!

I'm listening to Outlander #5 once I'm done with this audiobook...if I get the chance, I'll fit in Darkfever!

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments D.G.

***WARNING***
I'm telling you now D.G.
***WARNING***
After reading Darkfever, you'll only want to read the other four of the series. Pretty much before you do anything else as they end on cliffhanger status.
***WARNING***
Just so you know you've been warned.

message 514: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments DG - totally agree with Jim's assessment...at least for books 3,4 nand 5...I'm so glad that I waited until all the books in the series were out before i started (but even the 2 day delay I had between books 4 and 5 while I waited for audible to get it sucked)

message 515: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 4477 comments LOL, Jim. I've heard that about the series.

I remember a few years ago some friends where dying with all those cliffhangers. I was like "I'll wait until the series is done to read it!"

The funny thing is that my library has audiobooks 1, 3-5 but doesn't have #2. I'll probably make sure I'll have all the books before I start listening!

Tania | 644 comments Mandy wrote: "This is my first challenge here. I didn't know that I should post when I finished reading. Oops. So, I've read The Mane Event and A Lot Like Love."

We post after we've finished reading a book and generally give a short statement about what we thought of the book.

You've now completed the challenge, but that doesn't mean you can't keep reading from your list and posting. Lots of people read more than one book from their recs.

Okay after reading the reviews, I really want to read Aftertime, but I have had issues with any book lately having anything bad happen to and about children. Probably some leftover hormones since having the baby. So those that have read it, is it worth all the angst I'm gonna have about the main character trying to get back to her missing toddler?

message 520: by Vi (new)

Vi | 2794 comments Oh hey, thanks Dee. I read the first book - Stormwalker (I think) and then bought the second book (Firewalker) the week it came out (perils of internet) but I haven't gotten to it yet. I *think* it's languishing in the depth of my comp and my ereader. Time to dust it out since the next book is coming out in June.

Then stay away from Cry No More by Linda Howard. Brillant book, and well worth the read but gut wrenching (and I don't have kids - so I can only imagine what it would be like to read for a mum).

message 532: by Tuğçe (new)

Tuğçe Gökırmak (tugcenidasevin) I have just finished Darkfever, thanks for the rec Teresa Jo! I will definitely be reading the next book and now trying to make a spot in my challenges for that one :D I can't say best book I've read but enjoyed it and I am counting on the comments saying the rest are alot better...

Autumn!!
I just completed Dirty (I stayed up much of the night to finish) and I have to thank you for the rec! Without you and this challenge I may never have read this book! It was nothing like I expected it to be but yet so much more. It was so deep and emotional, wow.
Again thanks!
I am still willing to buddy read, let me know when you are ready.

The problem is I'm not quite sure if it's an indicator that I have no life. LOL. Just kidding. I take the bus to and from work every day and get a lot of reading done then. Add in the curse of insomnia and, well, I get through a lot of books. :)

Finished And Then He Kissed Her (Girl Bachelors, #1) by Laura Lee Guhrke last night. I really enjoyed this. The book leaned more toward the sweet side, with Harry slowly seducing Emma away from the rules she's rigidly followed all her life. The little tidbits about social conventions were interesting and about halfway through I was struck with the thought that Emma was the Martha Stewart of her time. LOL.

Started Practice Makes Perfect by Julie James this morning. James drew me in right away. The opening sequence was funny and I'm looking forward to seeing where it all leads.

You might as well get the rest, because once you start the second one you will have to finish the whole series. I was not blown away by the first book either, in fact I was very confused by it. But I read the next one anyway and then I couldn't stop. It is very addictive!!
