May - Pick It For Me Challenge
Tania,Can we do our buddy read next week? I just started Throne of Fire and I have to finish a couple other books then I'm good to go!
DG - read Darkfever - its another rec just for you...lol!D.G. ~Frisky She-Devil~ wrote: "Love the stats as usual, Diane!
I've read 14 of the Top 20 and recommended 4 of them. :)

Layla, thanks again for the great picks. I ended up reading Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke's Heart, and I absolutely loved it!
Suzanne wrote: "Tania S: Hello Tania S.! I tried to pick books that were not on your Read shelf but if I missed a few, I apologize. Just let me know if you’ve read them and if you like, I’ll pick out anothe..."
Thank you again for the picks Suzanne!
So I am going to be reading
I might end up reading all of them actually!
Oh dear! I haven't actually read any of the top 20 books! Although i've had a couple recommended to me in this and last months pifm challenges, i've also added a couple to my tbr list! Hoping to read some this month! Looking forwrad to reading the hunger games, hope it lives up to its expectaions x x
Looks like I've read 7 out of the top 20 and 5 are on my TBR list. I'll have to look at the missing ones and see why they passed my notice.
Rossy wrote: "Great job as usual Tania, thank you so much for hosting this month! ^.^Was it my imagination or did Jim already finish one of his? What is this world coming to?!LOL"
Not only did I already finish one, but so far this month I had to go out of state for a funeral (been back for a couple of hours now), bought several of the others on the list, and am 70% of the way through the sequel to the rec I read. If only I didn't have to work...
Delicious Dee Challenge Addict wrote: "well, i gave you the recommendation, now you can't complain ;)"No, I can't LOLOLOL!
I'm listening to Outlander #5 once I'm done with this audiobook...if I get the chance, I'll fit in Darkfever!
D.G. ***WARNING***
I'm telling you now D.G.
***WARNING***
After reading Darkfever, you'll only want to read the other four of the series. Pretty much before you do anything else as they end on cliffhanger status.
***WARNING***
Just so you know you've been warned.
DG - totally agree with Jim's assessment...at least for books 3,4 nand 5...I'm so glad that I waited until all the books in the series were out before i started (but even the 2 day delay I had between books 4 and 5 while I waited for audible to get it sucked)
LOL, Jim. I've heard that about the series. I remember a few years ago some friends where dying with all those cliffhangers. I was like "I'll wait until the series is done to read it!"
The funny thing is that my library has audiobooks 1, 3-5 but doesn't have #2. I'll probably make sure I'll have all the books before I start listening!
Taina wrote: "Tania,Can we do our buddy read next week? I just started Throne of Fire and I have to finish a couple other books then I'm good to go!"
works for me - send me a PM when you're ready to start.
Mandy wrote: "This is my first challenge here. I didn't know that I should post when I finished reading. Oops. So, I've read The Mane Event and A Lot Like Love."We post after we've finished reading a book and generally give a short statement about what we thought of the book.
You've now completed the challenge, but that doesn't mean you can't keep reading from your list and posting. Lots of people read more than one book from their recs.
Finished List (up to #545)1. Photojim - Darkfever
2. Inga - The Pagan Stone
3. Heather - Black Ice
4. Tania - How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf
5. Mandy - The Mane Event, A Lot Like Love
6. Valarie ~Varuca~ - The Hunger Games
7. Leah *Silk Desire* - Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke's Heart

Okay after reading the reviews, I really want to read Aftertime, but I have had issues with any book lately having anything bad happen to and about children. Probably some leftover hormones since having the baby. So those that have read it, is it worth all the angst I'm gonna have about the main character trying to get back to her missing toddler?
Oh hey, thanks Dee. I read the first book - Stormwalker (I think) and then bought the second book (Firewalker) the week it came out (perils of internet) but I haven't gotten to it yet. I *think* it's languishing in the depth of my comp and my ereader. Time to dust it out since the next book is coming out in June.Delicious Dee Challenge Addict wrote: "True - have you read Allyson James Stormwalker series? it has a NA feel with someone who can manipulate storms - I read it last month and enjoyed it

Congratulations to our overachievers!!! *hugs*
Hi Dee,Since I been in the mood to read urban fantasy lately, I'll go with Moon Called. And since the first book in the Harmless series you suggested is a kindle freebie, I'll read A Little Harmless Sex too :)

I'm starting Vengence in Death today! I've been wanting to get back into this series for awhile, so thanks for that extra push!
D.G.I'm this close to finishing And Then He Kissed Her. I would have finished last night, but I'm presenting a project for Scrapbook club tonight and had to take time out to cut up paper and gather things together. Hopefully I can finish this evening. I'm planning on starting Practice Makes Perfect soon.
Daffodil! You're making me feel bad...I haven't even started with books for the challenge and you're almost in book #2! :p
Suzanne wrote: "I'm starting Vengence in Death today! I've been wanting to get back into this series for awhile, so thanks for that extra push! "I'm glad I could help! I hope you enjoy it.

Then stay away from Cry No More by Linda Howard. Brillant book, and well worth the read but gut wrenching (and I don't have kids - so I can only imagine what it would be like to read for a mum).
I have just finished Darkfever, thanks for the rec Teresa Jo! I will definitely be reading the next book and now trying to make a spot in my challenges for that one :D I can't say best book I've read but enjoyed it and I am counting on the comments saying the rest are alot better...
Autumn wrote: "Hello Becky !! It was really nice having to pick for one of my friends. Not to mention how many books we have in common!! i love your book collection! :)ok,so here goes my picks! really hope you..."
Autumn!!
I just completed Dirty (I stayed up much of the night to finish) and I have to thank you for the rec! Without you and this challenge I may never have read this book! It was nothing like I expected it to be but yet so much more. It was so deep and emotional, wow.
Again thanks!
I am still willing to buddy read, let me know when you are ready.
D.G. ~Frisky She-Devil~ wrote: "Daffodil! You're making me feel bad...I haven't even started with books for the challenge and you're almost in book #2! :p"The problem is I'm not quite sure if it's an indicator that I have no life. LOL. Just kidding. I take the bus to and from work every day and get a lot of reading done then. Add in the curse of insomnia and, well, I get through a lot of books. :)
Finished
last night. I really enjoyed this. The book leaned more toward the sweet side, with Harry slowly seducing Emma away from the rules she's rigidly followed all her life. The little tidbits about social conventions were interesting and about halfway through I was struck with the thought that Emma was the Martha Stewart of her time. LOL.Started
this morning. James drew me in right away. The opening sequence was funny and I'm looking forward to seeing where it all leads.
hi Daffodil - I finished up Bonds of Justice today - loved it and can't wait to read the next book in the series, I just need to hold off for a little while, otherwise i'll be hanging until the last one comes out the way i'm going through them...next up is Silver Borne
I know what you mean. I'm desperately waiting for Kiss of Snow at the end of this month. But HARDCOVER. Thank goodness for pre-order discounts.
I have it pre-ordered on kindle...can't wait...i'm going to read play to passion probably right before its released
Tugce Nida wrote: "I have just finished Darkfever, thanks for the rec Teresa Jo! I was not blown away by the first book either, in fact I was very confused by it. But I read the next one anyway and then I couldn't stop. It is very addictive!!
Daffodil wrote: "I know what you mean. I'm desperately waiting for Kiss of Snow at the end of this month. But HARDCOVER. Thank goodness for pre-order discounts."Me too, Daffodil!
I seldom buy hardcovers but I may take the plunge for this one.
Daffodil wrote: "Finished And Then He Kissed Her (Girl Bachelors, #1) last night. I really enjoyed this. Started Practice Makes Perfect this morning. James drew me in right away. "
I'm glad you liked it Daffodil!
I'll be looking forward to your thoughts on the Julie James. She's great. :)

I finished Slave to Sensation. The world Singh created is fantastic. I really enjoyed the darker elements to the story.
sorry!! lol! I just finished up book 8 today, already have 9 cued up and 10 on pre-order....and really the weakest ones were still better than other stuff out there...about the only one i haven't really enjoyed was book 4...but it important in the world building

Yeah just looked at the page and definately have to stay away from that one least until my little guy gets a bit bigger.
Mandy wrote: "Argh! A whole new series to buy and read. My poor overflowing bookshelves. :-)"You will soon learn that it's actually worth it to get them all. They come in handy for re-reads as comfort reads!
Ah, Book 4 - is it Clay and Talin? I didn't enjoy Vaughn's book either. I couldn't buy the romance but loved the world building. But I loved the next book. A genuine tortured hero! Hmm.. time for a re-read I think..Delicious Dee Challenge Addict wrote: "sorry!! lol! I love receiving recommendations for good books!! If I can't buy them now (or get them from the library), they go on my wishlist. If my new library has "Frost Moon" (which right now they have it on the shelf, so hopefully they will when I can get there later this week and get a library card), then yes, I still plan on reading that book. I also decided to buy the digital edition of "Bite My Fire" since it was a fairly cheap price for my Kindle. So, if all else fails, I'll still have the buddy read next week, "Bite My Fire," and if time permits, "Frostbitten."
