The second and third were my favorites! But very different books. I liked the fourth, but there was a lot of tension in it, so probably my least favorite so far. I hope to fit the others into a challenge soon so I will get to them sooner rather than later!

Vi | 2794 comments I had some WTH? moments when the fifth book had some references to events that happened in some alternate universe. Turns out that they happened in the two Night Huntress world book (mainly Spade and Mencheres getting their HEA,i guess). Being a little anal, I have to read the series in order. So just a heads up, in case you're reading the fifth book, you might want to read the Night Huntress world books before you read the fifth. (And nowhere did I read about this!)

Luckily I finished the 4th book well before the 5th came out, so I had time to read Spade and Mencheres books. That is a very good warning for others though.

I had heard that from someone here before and after your comment am really glad I did before I moved forward. I was planning to get to the Night Huntress World books before I read the fifth Night Huntress book. But I am loving these books!

Thanks for spreading the warning - I'm sure many people will appreciate it!

I really do need to do a re-read of The Search. I've got Chasing Fire sitting waiting for me to start at some stage.

She's one of the few authors who are an automatic audiobook buy for me. For some reason her writing style really suit the audiobook format. And yes, I buy the ebook as well. Can't help myself.

Alexis (teacher2013) Today I finished Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs (Jane Jameson, #1) by Molly Harper finally. I got way behind on my reading because I've been sick. It was really funny. I adore the main character, Jane. She's so quirky and a lot like me. I can't wait to finish the series. Thank you for another great recommendation AlbertaJenn!

btw, I was able to get Born of Night (The League, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon a couple days ago. I don't know if I will have time to read it this month, but I'm going to try to squeeze it in the next couple of days :)

I really need to finish Nightshade, it's my flower cover for the monthly challenge. I'll probably pick it back up tonight.

In the meantime, I decided to go ahead and read the second I-Team book. I'm enjoying Hard Evidence (I-Team, #2) by Pamela Clare so far.

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 1058 comments Hi D.G.

I'm always carrying a book (or 2) with me and I get a lot of reading done in odd moments. And, of course, the bus ride to and from work 5 days a week helps.

This is the first time I participated in the PIFM and I had a lot of fun trying out new recommendations.

Finished Nightshade last night. I had a tough time rating this book. It started off great, the world Cremer has created is fascinating and I was interested in the characters. I had to put the book aside halfway through to finish something else and instead of picking it back up as soon as possible, I found myself putting it off. I'm not really sure why, but it didn't demand my attention. When I finally picked it back up, I finshed in a couple days. The world was just as fascinating and I did want to know how things were going to turn out, but I think it was the love triangle that was putting me off. I ended up giving it 3.5 stars. I'll probably pick up the next book at some point, since I'm interested in how the overall conflict is going to progress.

Autumn (sweetdenial) | 1471 comments Jesus!!! my computer crashed plus doing night rounds.I looked like a chicken without a head..

BUT i did finish The Search by Nora Roberts :)

I enjoyed the read, because it left me plenty to say about. There were techical aspects i didnt particularly agree with NR,but she definitely knows how to craft good books. Im very glad i had the chance to read suspense from this author. It was my first ;)

Im so sorry i finished it so late, but better late than never!

thanks so much for the rec! xxxxxxxx

No thank you! I've nearly finished To Die For and am loving it! It's really tickling my sense of humour! I think that I won't read so many recs on next month pifm as my other books have been left by the wayside! But have really enjoyed all your recs:-) x x

Thanks for the Pamela Clare I-Team rec. I decided to skip the first book, since the library didn't have it, but I didn't get lost reading Hard Evidence. I finished it last night and it was great. Now, I just have to hunt up a copy of the first book.

I had the exact same feelings about this book....the love triangle was my biggest problem with it.

Amanda D. (tinyminx) | 634 comments Finally finished The Hunger Games. I cannot praise it enough. I still have no idea why I put it off so long, but like most people have warned me...I just want to inhale the rest of the series. Thanks for the awesome picks!

message 799: by Isabella (new)

Isabella Queirouz | 201 comments I finished Dark Lover and Burning Alive. My preference goes to the first one. I admit that some scenes were deceiving especially the first 3 or 4 chapters of Burning Alive but after that things got better. But it wasn't only this reason that made me take long to finish, my kids got sick these 2 weeks that's why I'm late in my reading for this month. Since I've got only 2 days and 2 books left to read in my schedule I'll start Reno's chance as it's only 80 pages. Maybe I still can include it for this month.

message 800: by Mandy (new)

Mandy (mandypants) I finished Dream Chaser (Dark-Hunter, #14). It follows the series rule, so I'm good. :-) I didn't like it so much. Honestly, the Dream Hunter books are my least favorite of the Dark Hunter series.
