Thanks! I will definitely check it out Sharon!
I ended up getting hooked on Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare.
lol,I can't stop! I have to find out what happens between Clary and Jace! I am currently reading the third book, City of Glass

I just finished Gil's All Fright Diner last weekend. It was a quick fun and funny read.

I just started yesterday and I'm already halfway through. Excellent book.

I have Nightlife and was planing on reading it but I am really more in the mood to continue on with the Mortal Instrument series City of Fallen Angels or the new series that takes place before Clockwork Angel
lol Please help me make up my mind!

sigh
I have no will power.

I need to get to #2, I really enjoyed #1.
I am reading Froi of the Exiles

Great series! Did you read the prequel? I think it's in On the Prowl. Gives an intro to Anna and her background, also hre her and Charles meet.

That she is. If you like her, might I recommend;
Rachel Caine - Weather Warden series, Outcast series & Morganville Vampires series
SJ Day - Marked series
Tanya Huff - Victoria Nelson series
Justine Musk - Novels;
Bloodangel (2005)
Uninvited (2007)
Lord of Bones (2008)
Holly Lisle - World Gates series (and many more)
Jaye Wells - Sabina Kane series
Sonya Bateman - Gavyn Donatti series
Jocelynn Drake - Dark Days series
Hannah Jayne - Underworld Detection Agency series
Christina Henry - Black Wings series
Kalayna Price - Alex Craft series
Kim Harrison - Rachel Morgan & Madison Avery series
To name a few! I DO get carried away. these are just SOME of the female authors I admire.
A guy list is needed now.

Hey! Me too! I'm currently on Dead Beat as well. What a weird coincidence!
I have bookends of Chinese guard dogs and always think of Mouse when I look at them.

Hey! Me too! I'm currently on Dead Beat as well. ..."
I absolutely loved Mouse in the last book when he was a fat, fuzzy puppy. Now, he's a gangly, big-footed, fuzzy puppy and I still love him.

Hey! Me too! I'm currently on Dead ..."
Not only that, he is one SMART dog. There is a lot more to him than we know.
Of course, Mister is still the boss and ruler of all he views

I bought it four or five years ago. I do not know why I was so hesitant to read this, it's been absolutely superb so far.
Off topic- how do those picture links work?. I just can't figure it out.

Just out of curiosity do I really need to read the Dresden files in order? I know most have recommended this and I only ask because I have 5 sitting in my library bag. Placed holds on most of the series but have yet to receive the third book and have the 5 in the series. So frustrating.....

I'll let Mike answer that question. I've only gotten through the first 3.

Yes you do. One of the best of it's kind.

I'm totally with you on that one. http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I'm totally with you..."
Excellent review I totally agree so far. I wondered why I was having so much trouble reconnecting with the characters and plot twists that led to the opening of the second book. I however will likely push on as my book OCD leaves me compelled to finish a book or series that I have started unless it completely without redeeming qualities.

I hear you! I have the third on my shelf (from the library) :)

I would read the Dresden Files in order, otherwise you'll get spoilers for earlier books. If that doesn't bother you, then read away!
Shadow's Edge was confusing to me, too. I had to re-read Way of Shadows just to get up to speed, and found that I liked it better with the second reading. I think the series suffers from First Book Syndrome, where the author has had more immersion into the story and the world than practice telling stories. The Black Prism is his second series, and his growth is obvious.

You make me want to crack open my fresh copy of the belgariad! :-)
But I agree...and that's why I don't lend books.

I've been thinking about re-reading the Belgariad/Malloreon myself, but since I have already read them 4-5 times, I think i will re-read the Valdemar series by Mercedes Lackey. I've been putting it off since there are 20 some odd books now!
I'm in the middle of re-reading the Dresden Files now and so have a few days to decide.
Valdemar or Chronicles of the Black Company by Glen Cook?

Darwin's Children--really liking this one. Has a great X-Men vibe.
A Devil in the Details--off to a good start. I need some good paranormal buttkicking action right now.
Tempest Unleashed--a bit too much angsting longing going on. I'd like more worldbuilding on the mermaid front than "I miss this boy" sighing.

People seem to either love or hate The Night Circus, but I loved it. I highly recommend it and I hope you enjoy it if you read it next.
Last night I started Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. This is going to be a fun one.
