I noticed that also. They author's are not sorting alphabetically. The book titles will but authors won't. It is very annoying.

White Cat was an interesting story and a promising set up for a new series - Holly Black never disappoints. Changeless was good, but I find that Carriger's writing comes across to me as trying too hard at times. Maybe period stories aren't really my thing - although I did enjoy it.

Melanie--do you know the biggest problem I have with a cruise? Its having to get on a SHIP. Yeah, yeah, I know, who has problems with ships, right? But I have really horrible seasickness. My Dad said it was really embarassing for him--he was a career Naval officer. lol, but then he whispered to me that HE was always seasick the first couple of days at sea.

Unfortunately, I don't get better after a day or two. I have been known to turn green on an aircraft carrier that was anchored. For those who don't know--there are two causes for motion sickness. One is visual and the other is an inner ear problem. Well, over-achieving me has to suffer from BOTH.

I have wanted to take a cruise to Alaska--my bil and sil have taken one there about every other year for the last 20 or so years. And they always rave about it. But I do NOT want to get on a ship. So, I'm wondering--anyone on the list here live in Alaska? And wouldn't object to a visitor from the lower 48? :oP (Just kidding, btw.)

1.Lion's Heat (Breed #21/Feline #13) by Lora Leigh - 5/12 - ★★★1/2 - Finally! Jonas' story! The series arc continues with more trouble from Bradenmore, but this book focuses mainly on Jonas and his mate & assistant, Rachel - not to mention her 3 month old child. A baby in the story is an interesting twist that I enjoyed a lot. Although how the baby never wakes up during the intimate moments (the way my baby always does) I'll never know.

4.White Witch, Black Curse (Rachel Morgan, Book 7) by Kim Harrison - 5/8 - ★★★★ - I've always enjoyed this series and this was no exception. Love the big baddie in this one and that the Kisten issue is resolved (although not so fond of the actual resolution). Can't wait for the next one!
5.Full Moon Rising (Riley Jenson, Guardian, Book 1) by Keri Arthur - 5/14 - ★★★★★ - Loved this book! Yes, it took a number of pages for me to get used to the Aussie use of "mate" as "friend" instead of lover/life partner/husband/wife (especially since I just read a Lora Leigh book!), but this book kicked ass. The characters were interesting, the storyline had enough foreshadowing to keep you intrigued, but not enough to completely give everything away. I found it very well written and could just KICK myself for not discovering this series sooner!

7.Twice As Hot (Tales of an Extraordinary Girl, Book 2) by Gena Showalter - 5/20 - ★★★1/2 - I remember liking the first book in this series a LOT, but I had a much harder time getting through this one. The story was good, but I got annoyed by all the cheesy paranormal super-spy stuff. Reminded me of the TV show, "The Middleman" when it was on. Not bad, kinda funny, but also kinda pesky.
8.Single White Vampire (Argeneau Vampires, Book 3) by Lynsay Sands - 5/19 - ★★★★ - The story of Lucern, the old, curmudgeoney historian brother and the new editor of his "family history" that the rest of the world thinks are vampire PNRs. Cute, but nothing overwhelmingly original. I'll still keep reading, though as I like the cast of characters. Fluffy, but fun!

9.Storm Front (Dresden Files, Book 1) by Jim Butcher - 5/8 - ★★★★ - I've been shying away from this series for awhile now because it was both written by a male author and has a male main character which I haven't enjoyed in the past, but Butcher has a very clean writing style and I like Harry Dresden so it was a nice surprise! I'll definitely keep reading!
10.Catching Fire (Hunger Games, Book 2) by Suzanne Collins - 5/25 - ★★★★★ - Amazing series and this book was just as good as the first, in my opinion! A return to Katniss, Peeta, Haymitch, Gale, and a cast of all new characters as the victors gear up for their part in the Hunger Games of a new year and look for ways to avoid the wrath of President Snow. A MUST READ if you read the first one. Highly suggested if you like dystopian novels like Scott Westerfield's "Uglies" series although it's a bit more graphic. Featuring young adult characters but not necessarily young adult reading material (depends on your YA, I suppose).

I did and I'm about 75 pages in so far. I felt the same as you, unsure about how I'd like it, but so far so good. It's got an interesting premise.
