Well, I finally managed to get through another Fever book. I'm at the point where I wish she'd just written it as a dang 6000 page book. These cliff hangers are starting to really get me depressed.
I'm not going to have time for the next 2 days to read as hubby and I will have the grandkids. So I have to wait that long to find out what happens NEXT. ggrrrrrr. And I'm starting to think I need to read a different KIND of story--maybe something humourous. Since lets face it--the Fever books are a little (like Niagra Falls is a small leak) dark.

(Hey, it’s a clean up challenge so I’m cleaning up, eventhough it doesn’t necessarily concern my TBR-list as stated above)
Cause of my obsession with the Wroth borthers, my love for Kresley Cole and my curiosity for Gena Showalter, I read:

Untouchable- Kresley Cole: 4 stars
This story is like an IAD-megamix! Except for the Woede, we see (or hear about) just about everyone in the series! And it was so much fun to catch up.
In Untouchable we witness Murdoch “man-whore” Wroth and Danielle (the Ice Maiden and Valkyrie) fall in love. People who’ve never read a book of the IAD-series might not like the story. The action part of the plot is a little thin, the romance is hot though –even while the heroine is untouchable- but one might get confused with Cole’s Lore creatures and their rules, ideas and relationships.
For an IAD-fan however, this feels like coming home: the story evolves over a period of time and we return to several moments and conversations from the previous books in the series, this time from Murdoch’s POV. The cherry on the cake is the epilogue, in which we witness Christmas Eve with all the Wroth brothers and their females. (*sigh*)
As always, Cole delivered an entertaining, sexy and fun story. She combines just the right amount of drama and humor, never taking herself too seriously. Her bff Gena Showalter could learn a thing or two from her…
Tempt me eternally – Gena Showalter 2,5 stars
I know enjoying a PNR novel requires a little suspension of belief and cynicism, but when the major characters’s actions defy all logic, secondary characters up and disappear without proper explanation and the heroine tries to kill the hero and wants him to feel guilty about it… I don’t know: it gets a little too much. The story promises action but doesn’t deliver. Well, except for bedroom action. Because there is a lot of that. And it was quite graphic. But good.
Even though I had many eye-rolling moments I’m still interested in Bride’s story. So I guess Showalter’s mission is accomplished.
Still: Gena Showalter: mweh, Kresley Cole: you rock!

Congratulations! I hope everything goes well :)

I agree, I have read them all. Just finished the 8th Riley book, you really need to read these in order especially in the beginning as there is so much going on. Wouldn't recommend starting with the newer books as you would be completely lost!

Thoroughly enjoyed Black Magic Woman, kicking myself that I didn't include Evil Ways on my list (especially as the third book in the series Sympathy For the Devil comes out in early January), as that's been on my bookshelves for quite a while. I haven't read a lot of UF, but I really liked the characters - the story was approached from several different angles. Very easy read really.
This month is turning out to be a bit of a knightmare reading wise (I've spent the last 3 weekends in London, due to spend next weekend up there as well), so I'll be happy if I make it to 4 this month!!!

Hmm...It's good, but its not a 5-star book for me. Maybe because of the slow-build up, but I keep getting the urge to read ahead to find out what happens next.
I know the other parts are important, but its like the first time I read Dark Lover. I can barely get through it, and then later when I was familiar with the series, and did a reread, then I appreciated it more.
I have a feeling that will be the same case as Covet.

Thorn Queen was good but infuriating. I so hate Kio and never want to hear from him again! If he’s back as a love interest in the third book, I’m dropping the series.

Sigh, STILL not having any luck on finding time to read. Maybe tomorrow, IF I don't have to go to Oz's for our annual cookie baking spree. That's usually a 2 day thing for us, and we bake a LOT of cookies.

Yz, Thanks for this challenge! I am so glad I finally began reading the Mona Lisa books by Sunny. I'm definitely going to read the rest of that series. And the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning starts off good as well, I'm sure I'll read more of that one too. And you know how I feel about the BDB, just can't get enough. :) As always, great challenge ideas!
