Sea Trials: Around the World with Duct Tape and Bailing Wire by Wendy Hinman
A shipwreck might end a dream of circumnavigating the globe. Not for the Wilcox family. To triumph, they must rebuild their boat on a remote Pacific island. Damage sustained on the reef and a lack of resources haunt them the rest of the way around the world as they face daunting obstacles, including wild weather, pirates, gun boats, mines and thieves, plus pesky bureaucrats and cockroaches as stubborn as the family. Without a working engine and no way to communicate with the outside world, they struggle to reach home before their broken rig comes crashing down and they run out of food in a trial that tests them to their limits. https://www.amazon.com/Sea-Trials-Aro...

Prymzia: Ravager of the Sea
Genre: Teen & YA Fantasy
Long ago, a gift was given to Prymzia. A gift that brought protection and extraordinary skills to the people. But sometimes what is meant for good can cause great grief. For some wanted to use the gift for destruction and conquest. As evil descended upon the island, a mighty hero rose up to battle the beast. He prevailed against the monster, but not without great price. Many years pass, but whispers and shadows from the past yet emerge. And dark foes assemble to awaken the "Ravager of the Sea."
A quaint little fishing island, miles from the mainland, attracted many wealthy families. They built their beautiful mansions on the island. But the only house, on Divine Island, that drew fourteen-year-old Luke's attention was the mysterious Corrinsen mansion that sat on the cliff above his home. Years ago the family that lived there disappeared.
Luke's imagination conjured up many possible scenarios, until the mansion's caretaker gives him an old book. "Read it and tell me what you conclude. Is it truth or fiction," the old man says to him.
The book of Carthia begins an adventure, which propels Luke and his brother into an underwater odyssey and lands them on the mystical island, Prymzia.

Things were going pretty much “business as usual” for fifteen-year-old Pepsi Ferrell and the members of the teenage rock band “The Pop Tops,” at least as usual as being a teenage amateur rock star can be.
A strange twist of fate however, sends Harry, Phillip, Pepsi and her little brother RC, into Hades, the underworld of Greek mythology, in search of their lost dog Zeus.
A battle is taking place for the very soul of the underworld itself, as a new player enters the game, or so she thinks. Strange magic is brewing and it may be up to the four outsiders to set things right again.
The fact that their music is magical too should help, if they can just figure out how to control it.
Join us as we follow Hades, Persephone, Dionysus, Thantos, Styx, Charon, Tiresias, the Nine Muses, the three ladies of Fate, and all the rest of the divine family (that puts the “funk” in dysfunctional,) through all of Hades creation and back again. Dealing with the most notorious of the “Denizens of the Deep,” including a visit from the “All Father” himself, Zeus, and his all wet brother Poseidon…the underworld will never be the same.
*NOTE* A Cold Day In Hades is a middle school novel with four main characters in the 13-16 age group. It is a lighthearted attempt to take the dark and sometimes vague subject of Greek Mythology and lighten it up for younger audiences.
The focus of the novel is on giving a general education of Greek mythology in a funny and entertaining manner, at the same time tackling teen issues and concepts such as change, divorce, working, entrepreneurship, personal motivation, self-esteem, and diversity among others.

I just published Unblinking, a young adult dystopian novel.
If you're interested in grabbing a copy, it's nearing the end of its special launch price of 99 cents, and I'll be running a Goodreads Giveaway for the paperback starting this weekend.

Everyone is watching.
Minka Stanis just wants to be left alone--impossible since the Eyes record and broadcast every moment of her day. Then a humiliating incident in the high school cafeteria makes her the laughingstock of her tower city, and life behind the glass walls becomes unbearable. When the intriguing new boy at school tells her about a place away from the gaze of the cameras, Minka plots her escape from the towers. But the Shuttered Lands are across the desert, and going there will mean leaving everything she's ever known behind.
Fresh out of tower training, Zedd Fincher is settling into his dream job. When he gets assigned to edit Minka Stanis's Stream footage, he spins her every misstep into a string of hit clips. As Minka's fame grows, so do Zedd's feelings for her. But a crisis at home brings the darker side of his work into focus. And Zedd soon learns editing other people's lives has consequences.
As Minka is thrust unwillingly into the spotlight and Zedd's life begins to unravel, only one thing is certain:
The Eyes are always watching.

Zombies in the deserted ruins of the City of London are an endangered species. The only thing keeping them from extermination is the hit reality tv show ‘Game Hunter,’ where people pay to go on zombie killing safaris. Those left are hardly dangerous and viewer rating are down, unless something changes the show will be scrapped.
The Elders have convinced male and female half-zombie teenagers, reluctant Tremayne and fiery Red, to find a further five fighters and take on seven of the most ferocious zombie hunters in a series of three gruesome rounds of Game Hunter. They will be feverishly followed by a worldwide audience and the final outcome will determine their annihilation or possible cure.
Yet with the fate of their zombie cousins at stake, a missing beloved sister to find, a budding romance, plus intrigue and conspiracy around every darkened corner, just staying alive until the first round seems to be a deadly struggle in itself.

Princess Nadya

It's a romance set in London in 2017 between a prince and a transgender lady. (And is written PG).
A small percentage of the author profits will be donated amongst 7 charities. I was hoping you might be interested in checking out my website for my book? You'll find that its very educational for non transgender people and parents as before the first chapter I've done a current affairs program style interview on young 10 year old Hayley and her family which will help the reader understand the issues linked to being transgender and having gender dysphoria.
I was inspired to write it after seeing a 60 mins interview on a young transgender child and I thought to myself that the world needed a fairy tale that involved a transgender main character. So I set about writing one! I think the story is particularly relevant given current world events including Trump banning transgender people from the army and Australia not yet having marriage equality.

What would you do if your whole life turned out to be a lie?
A band of survivors clings to life on a remote ranch in the wilderness after the fall of civilization, under the sway of their spiritual leader, Yeoman. As she was born after the Apocalypse, Yeoman declares Leah the hope of mankind, destined to bring forth a race of humans that are pure of soul. Yet Leah herself isn't so sure. Then one day a buzzing creature appears in the sky above the ranch, and Leah begins to question everything she had ever been told...has Yeoman been telling her the truth? Or are there other people out there?

It's been years since the fall, since Sera was found and we realized that our stories of creation weren't stories at all. To find a god, alive, was something no one had dreamt of-but was something too many feared.
Sera was weak, and with her capture a pulse washed over the earth-gifting the millions who were chosen fractions of her power as a desperate call for help.
But with the pulse came something greater, Klaus, who leveled entire cities in search of his beloved in what became known as the Reckoning before disappearing entirely.
Fear spread in the wake of his destruction, with fear panic, and with panic, war. Soon anyone who had been touched by Sera's grace became hunted-forced to live on the fringes of a broken world.
The time has come to not just survive, but to thrive, and embrace the stigma that has become our lives.
We will fight, we will survive.
Amidst the mist, we will rise

The first book in the Duircean Trilogy:
"Ainslee Saunders goes through each day fearing the same thing all sixteen-year-olds fear: getting snatched by the fae. When her worst nightmare comes true, Ainslee is forced to live in the forest community of Duircean until she completes the change from human to faerie. Her life is already made stressful by culture shock, prejudiced humans, and jealous changelings, but things only get worse as she slowly discovers that her change is far from normal.
When her world is shook by an unexpected death and she has only herself to blame, Ainslee is forced to question if there's something more sinister about her unique change."
A Blessing & A Curse
The second book in the Duircean Trilogy:
"Ainslee Saunders thought getting snatched by the fae would be the biggest change in her life, but she was wrong. After finding out she had been possessed and participating in a disastrous exorcism, things are more screwed up than ever. Her friend Derek has fallen into a coma. Her friend April is possessed and locked out of Duircean. And her (sort of?) friend Shawna is keeping her in the dark. To make matters worse, the professors are suspicious of her, her Blessing is on the fritz, and a new classmate has it out for her.
Sick of feeling helpless and clueless, Ainslee decides to take matters into her own hands. But is she doing the right thing by trying to save her friends and right her wrongs? Or is she about to make a mistake that could put all of Duircean at risk?"

It's a small price to pay for a friend.Follow Tommy and Careen as they uncover a web of lies and deceit reaching to the highest levels of the United States government and join an underground resistance group that's determined to expose the truth.
Available in paperback, Kindle (KU) and audio book:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07...
"Lawson mixes true-to-life fears with intimate character portrayals in this conspiracy thriller, her first work of YA fiction.
"Beyond Tommy's ongoing struggle with injury and Careen's deep-seated anger, the novel introduces a host of secondary characters with their own senses of purpose and drive, rendering a mad world human. As with many dystopian settings, parts of the conspiracy strain the limits of believability, but the concept here is deeper and more complex than one might expect at first glance. The author delivers intriguing details about this fractured world, from the nuances of how the government divided the country into quadrants to the fact that the antidote contains a large quantity of LSD--a clever reference to America's real-life experimentation with the drug in Project MKUltra. There's much here to discover.
"An exuberant start to a promising new YA series about a totalitarian America." --Kirkus Reviews

Ignorance is cheap. And then it costs you everything.
Perth author Rachel Watts' latest release delivers a devastatingly realistic vision of a post-climate change world in which governments have collapsed and corporations rule with an iron fist. In this world two young women from different backgrounds find themselves unexpectedly aligned in their pursuit for the truth.
The world has suffered economic collapse and multiple environmental crises. In a flooded city, Ava Murasaki is searching for her activist sister Sophia. Meanwhile, Valerie Newlin lives in the secure complex of the Scylla Corporation, the world's only remaining multinational. There, she finds evidence of something horrifying in the Corporation medical research data. Set in a searingly real near-future, Survival is a story of what people will face for those they love.
Survival is accompanied by four of Watts' previously published dystopian and post-apocalyptic stories.

I have recently self-published my first novel, "Pride". This is the first of what I hope to be a three book series. "Pride", tells the story of a high school athlete who struggles to find his place in the world.
I put my heart and soul into this book, to write as genuine and as real a story as I possibly could. My goal is to spread the word to as many high schools and learning institutions as I can, so that students all over the world can read this fictional story. While this may be a work of fiction, I strongly believe that the story itself is extremely relatable for teenagers and young adults. Especially those who have ever felt lost or out of place in society.
Please check it out, as the book is available on amazon, in paperback and kindle form.

The immortal Reuel is assigned to train her. He both infuriates Lakyn and strengthens her, while everything about Lakyn stokes Reuel’s buried pain and rage. Still, he can’t stay away, and together, they are electric and explosive, a precarious combination given Lakyn’s unstable powers.

I have just recently published my novel (technically it's my second, but the first one is obsolete).
It's a story about a girl who lives in a bubble city in a war-stricken world, who later finds out her city is run by vampires, werewolves and witches and that humans are a dying race.
It's about a girl who is being hunted by a vampire, because she carries a very specific and special type of blood.

Freshman Hunt: A Nightmare Academy Novella
My name is Anthony Avina. I am an Indie author who has just posted the preorder link to the second novella in a YA series I began writing last year titled Freshman Hunt: A Nightmare Academy Novella. It’s a paranormal/supernatural and horror story with a bit of action and romance thrown in for good measure.
The story follows an immortal teen vampire named Francesca who is sent to infiltrate this notorious supernatural school within the supernatural community named Nightmare Academy. Rumors of the school being used to train the future army of a ruthless King named Dalca have been swirling for years, and Francesca must become the eyes and ears of the resistance against the mad King before all of humanity pays the ultimate price. In Freshman Hunt, she must decide whether to put her friendships and potential romance with the king’s son ahead of her mission to stop Dalca at all costs when an ancient enemy makes it’s way to the school grounds, and her new werewolf friend Faith gets caught in a peer pressure situation that puts her right in the monster’s path. What will she choose? Find out on the Freshman Hunt…
The book is about 114 pages, over 16K words total. It’s the second in a planned 3-4 novella series that will become the first novel in the series overall. My goal was to release the book in parts kind of like episodes of a miniseries or television show, giving readers the option to read it in parts or as a whole once the story is finished. I am seeking any opportunity to share this novella with the world. Whether it’s a free copy of the first two novellas in exchange for fair and honest reviews (electronic copies of course), an interview, guest blog post or some other promotion, I’d love the opportunity to work with you. I also have my own book blog and website and would be happy to cross promote and work with any other creative minded individuals to promote their own work. I have an EPK available upon request, which features links to the book, my social media, photos, an author bio and much more. If you are interested in a copy of the book let me know and I will send out the format of your choice (ePub, mobi or PDF) to you right away. If you are interested feel free to contact me through the comments in this section, DM me here on Goodreads or email me at authoranthonyavina@gmail.com I hope you have an amazing day and thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to hearing back from you.

My young adult action adventure series is call THE TREVIN PROJECT. Kirkus Reviews called it "a surreal mystery," adding, "Gerard excels at painting youth as precious and fleeting."
From the back cover of Book Two:
Delbert Hanks is on the run. Ever since he caught a disease that turned his bones into metal, his life has been turned upside-down. Now he’s fleeing his home in Claxburg, Maryland before the local authorities can question him about the tragedy that ended his first date with the only girl he’s ever admired. But the authorities aren’t alone in their manhunt. A mad scientist named Mikel Bakas, the architect of his illness, wants to exploit him for his own means. And a secret government organization, hot on his trail, is bent on finding him before the sickness destroys him completely. Residing in the shadowy confines of a place known only as Rittenhouse Farms, the National Defense Agency is home to a dozen other teenagers plagued with the same ailment as Delbert, each of them suffering with their own unique variation of the illness. There Delbert meets Jude Morales, deaf since birth, whose bones have turned into wood . . . Ellis Teale, a shy boy with a terrible stutter and bones made of glass . . . And beautiful Amber, so cursed that she becomes the wind after every sunrise, and she remains that way until sunset when she becomes flesh again. Unless Delbert can find the cure, all of the kids at The Farm are doomed. Kirkus Reviews raved that “Metal,” the first book in The Trevin Project series, delivered “a head-spinning jolt!” And the Capital Gazette praised it as so shocking it “leaves the reader wanting more.” Well. Here’s more.

Reviews
"A supernatural mystery, a coming of age story with romance, faith and hope. The biggest theme in the novel is what it means to be alive, focusing on Alice as she tries to navigate her grief for her mother, her new relationship, and her family. As history, a curse and ghosts plague the town, life and death are tackled in a unique way. Tony Lee Moral doesn't shy away from his characters questioning belief, and they are confronted with whether they need to see to believe, or believe to see. The plot comes full circle by the end, but the last page will leave you wanting more. It's clear this is just the beginning for Alice. A must read with strong prose that carries an eerie undercurrent, slowly delving into details as the mystery unfolds." - Readers Favorite"
“Overall, I thought it was an excellent take on an old seaside ghost story and the descriptions of the bay were wonderful. I felt fully in the story as if I were there myself and would recommend this read to anyone who loves fiction with a supernatural twist.” – Paranormal Romance Guild
“An enjoyable adventure story filled with love, angst and ghosts.” – Writing Times
“Moral has a great story, with twists and turns that keep the reader turning the pages. It is part love story, part thriller – hardly surprising given Moral’s previous work. The magical realism is a new diversion. . . It’s clever.” – Julia Webb Harvey
“This book is a great read for anyone who loves a great ghost story or paranormal romance.” – Debbie McClure
“I loved the setting of this novel – Monterey, CA. It definitely added to the story and felt real. I liked Henry and some of the other characters.” – The Story Sanctuary

The Haunting of Alice May

My name is Susan Shalev and I have recently published my first book Of Bitter Herbs and Sweet Confections, a fictionalized memoir, based on real-life experiences. The book presents the story of Tanya, a Jewish teenager, as it unfolds over a ten-year period from 1939 to 1949. Forced to flee their Polish hometown in order to escape the Nazis, Tanya and her family wander from place to place, trying to keep one step ahead of the German army, until they fall into the hands of the Russians and are exiled to Siberia. Having survived hard labor in the frozen north, Tanya's father relocates the family to central Asia where they live out the final years of the war. On her return to Europe, where she encounters the atrocities committed during her absence, Tanya finds the inner strength to help those whose war time suffering has been even greater than her own.
In this heartrending and heartwarming, sweeping odyssey of changing fortunes, the reader witnesses the transformation of an adolescent, who loves to spin fairy tales and fantasies, into an independent woman, her feet firmly on the ground, who somehow manages to take whatever Fate throws at her, and to learn from her experiences.
Tanya's story is a Holocaust novel with a difference, which opens a unique window on to a lesser known facet of this horrific chapter in history.
The book is highly recommended on Amazon and here on Goodreads.
I would really appreciate receiving feedback from young adult readers, for whom I believe this fascinating story is meaningful, and, of course from other authors.
In honor of Holocaust Memorial Day (May 2) I am running a free promotion on the Kindle ebook (May 2 -5).
