📚 Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Dear Fantasy Lovers,
I’m thrilled to share Echoes of the Astral War, a new fantasy epic born from my imagination and love for worlds beyond our own. I invite you to step into a realm where magic pulses in every shadow, destinies clash in cosmic wars, and the line between light and darkness is thinner than you think.
What’s waiting for you in Vatika?
A richly built world of kingdoms, jinn, demons, and hidden realms.
A reluctant hero, William, torn between vision and duty as he discovers ancient powers.
Princesses, betrayal, and a dark prophecy tied to the blood of royalty.
Action, intrigue, romance, and high-stakes battles that challenge the heart and spirit.
Unexpected alliances, heartbreaking losses, and the spark of rebellion that refuses to die.
If you crave a fantasy that combines sweeping adventures and deep emotional journeys, Echoes of the Astral War awaits you.
Please feel free to add it to your To-Read list, leave reviews, and share your thoughts. Your support means the world. 🌌
Let’s walk these realms together—may your sword be sharp and your heart steadfast.
The Possession of Alba Díaz. I rated it 5 stars, i thought it was a great feminist commentary with some occult occurrences (;
The last book I read I just finished, it was The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo. I rated it a 4 ⭐️ bc I spoiled it trying to see how many pages I had left
Just finished COVID Days — and wow.COVID Days: A Poetic Memoir of A Schoolboy’s Life Through the Pandemic
I honestly don’t even know where to start. I just came across this book and it completely blew my mind. COVID Days by Methul Hettiarachchi isn’t just a memoir. It’s not just poetry. It’s a masterpiece — a raw, unfiltered, living snapshot of what life felt like during the pandemic. Every word, every pause, every space on the page is deliberate. You feel the chaos, the fear, the absurdity, the small joys, the heartbreaks, and the moments of pure human connection.
It’s like holding a piece of history in your hands — a time capsule that’s untouched, unpolished, utterly honest, and somehow so beautifully alive. The creativity, the insight, the courage to just let it all be, makes this something you cannot just read — you experience it.
And the best part? The Kindle version is currently free. I can’t recommend this enough. This is one of those books that will stay with you forever.

I just finished Bowl of Heaven
Gregory Benford & Larry Niven
5 stars
This was quite the adventure story set in deep interstellar space when the human ship, the SunSeeker, finds this huge bowl-shaped artificial structure in space. The inside is like a planet. And it's name is the Bowl of Heaven. And that is when the adventure starts, because humans being humans they of course got to go investigate it. And they run afowl of the Bird Folk. This structure is so large it boggles the mind! A thousand Earths could fit inside this thing.
Not very much suspense or thrills but plenty of action adventure. Lots of dangerous situations. There are also parts in here about society, change and even world wide weather.
I was entertained throughout.
It's the first book in a trilogy and it hints that something mysterious is waiting at their destination of the Glory system.
I read "Necrosis" today, a 2021 extreme horror novella by Rayne Havok. Really enjoyed it and rated it 5 Stars.
I just finished:Trail of Lightning
Rebecca Roanhorse
4 stars
The ending of this one left me feeling very confused. The main character, Maggie, has some serious flaws (and she has magical abilities too) - she is a monster slayer who tracks down evil monsters. But she does very questionable things. I enjoyed reading this. Lots of action. Quick moving plot. But that ending!
The book is very unique as it's about the Diné (the Navajo) and tells about their monsters. This is set in a world after a huge disaster and the States is gone, most of it under water. But the reservations survive. The whole book has a very strong feel of a western with people doing what they want to do.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“I just wrapped The Art of Being Relentless by James Robbins, and I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s not your everyday self-help book — it digs deeper, pushing you to build discipline, resilience, and relentless momentum. It felt like a wake-up call. If you’re serious about growth, it’s a must-read.

Just finished The Seamstress of New Orleans. Loved this story. A great story of finding true friendships in unlikely ways.
Well I have now finished this one:The Mark of the Beast: The Continuing Story of the Spear of Destiny
Trevor Ravenscroft
3 stars
It was making these really wild claims that I just couldn't believe at all. But a good chunk of the book is about self discovery and becoming more spiritual and developing intuition. And he says that computers and the materialism is bad for that. That people lose their humanity and they grow colder + harsh. That part I can believe.
This was written way before AI but look at the messes AI is doing: people losing their jobs and all...
I just finished The Elements by John Boyne, and I'm giving it 5 stars. Boyne's portrayal of the characters brought them alive for me. His writing, specifically when speaking as a woman, reminded me of Wally Lamb in its realism. The book, written in a dual time line, is about family, betrayal, reconciliation, connections and love.
I just finished:Goth Girl and the Ghost of a Mouse
Chris Riddell
3 stars
I had some problems with this book. Some of the things in here were too weird for me to accept and to believe. I know it's a kid's book and generally I do enjoy reading kid's books but having a bicycle race over the rooftop of a mansion really stretches it too far. Plus I feel the title is very inaccurate. Half the time the girl forgot all about the ghost mouse. How sad.
I just 5 minutes ago finished “It Ends WITH US” wasn’t quite expecting the plot! I lived in an abusive marriage for 16 year! He was charming, funny! But there where times he wasn’t! I stayed because I loved him, thinking I couldn’t breathe without him! Then one day he abandoned us, me and three kids 42 miles from town! He left with my best friend! Lily was very brave and courageous not like me! I cried when she wanted a divorce. Oh what strength!
Graceless Heart by Isabel IbanezI honestly wasn't sure I was going to like this book. The first handful of chapters were a little on the -- ighhhh -- side. In the end I really did enjoy it and gave 4 stars.
I finished reading a 2018 Matt Kurtz novel which was Revised and Re-Edited in 2025, published this year. "Kinfolk" (2025) was a fascinating blend of Horror, Backwoods Hillbilly Cannibals, Suspense, and an ambience of the Old West with vigilante justice and the love of two brothers at its center. I really enjoy his works. Rated the novel a solid 4 Stars.
I just finished reading:The Martian Contingency
Mary Robinette Kowal
3 stars
I had wanted a good mystery but instead this was a boring drama. It was about stuff like which holidays to celebrate on Mars, how much down time do they need, etc. this stuff just couldn't hold my interest. Something big didn't happen until page 270! I was very generous with the 3 star rating.
Local woman missing. What a great read, secret’s, drama and plenty of twist and bomb revelations. Highly recommend this book.

If you would click on the book links that are in the individual posts, that should lead you to the book page here on Goodreads. Most of these books are probably available to read on Kindle on Amazon.. you can also try your local library. Many libraries have e-books available..
I know not everyone uses the drop down menu to create links but I always do on my posts. Otherwise just type the book title into the Search bar and hopefully the book comes up.
last book i read was taming 7 by chloe walsh and i would 100% rate it a 5 ⭐️ just like all her b.o.t books
I have finished two books today: Life: The Ultimate Picture Puzzle: Can You Spot the Differences?
LIFE
3 stars
After awhile doing these got pretty tedious. And the puzzle difficulty levels seemed uneven. The Genius was easier than the Expert.
Ring of Fire: A New History of the World at War:
1914
Alexandra Churchill & Nicolai
Eberholst
2 stars
So I had been hoping that this 2025 release would tell me what the Great War had been about. But it tells you everything BUT that. Yes, no where in here does it say what had started the war or what they were fighting about! Which is very shocking. There is no explanation at all. The book just started with people out in the street all excited and waving flags, etc...
This book was VERY graphic. It got to be too bloody and gory for me. Due to the first person accounts.
So I was more than halfway through when I decided to DNF this book. In part because I was getting grossed out by the bloody descriptions (and take note I am used to reading horror) but moreso because I had no idea what all of these battles in here was even about! Because the authors never say. And that is utterly horrible.
Those countless people died for a reason. How can you not include WHY they died??
