I have finished these two today:Raising Hare: A Memoir
Chloe Dalton
5 stars!
A very vivid memoir of raising a wild hare in the UK (England). A truly wonderful book!
The Little Encyclopedia of Enchanted Woodland
Creatures: An A-to-Z Guide to Mythical Beings of the
Forest
Jason Lancaster
3 stars
This one had many creatures I never heard of before including many North America ones.
The First Gentleman by James Patterson and Bill Clinton. I liked it, good mystery about the President’s husband arrested for a murder that happened 17 years ago.
Sunrise on the Reaping
3 Stars #YA
My feeling - Haymitch deserved better.
Hollow sigh of unfulfilled potential

I just finished:Death at the White Hart
Chris Chibnall
4 stars!
I really enjoyed this mystery set in England. A pub owner is killed by someone, left tied to a chair in the center of the country road with deer antlers tied to his head. There is an interesting cast of characters here, including a lady detective who has a failing marriage and she is a workaholic. It's the smaller characters in here like Shannon (9) and Frankie (they/them) that bring the story to life.
I just finished Taming Kane
Tessa Stone
2 stars!
Story was very dull and it mainly was the werewolf bossing her so she wasn't allowed to do anything. Basically a non story.
Never Whistle at Night - collected indigenous dark fiction 2 stars. Mostly just poorly written short stories.
Hi! I am new here. Would really appreciate new friends on here!!Anything by Dan Carlin (like The End is Always Near).4/5
James by Percival Everett and I gave it a 5/5 because it definitely added to the narrative of huckleberry finn and gave James a voice he didn't have in Huckleberry Finn. I really liked it overall, I read it within a few hours.
The last book I read was Matchmaking for psychopaths and I gave it a 4 as there was not enough interaction with the love interest
Little women.I have rated with 5 stars, this is the book that made me love reading! Never disappoints.
The Heretic Cypher
4 STARS ARC NETGALLEY
exciting start to Murray Bailey’s Egyptian Stones, centering on Alex MacLure

A few moments ago I just finished Spooky Great Lakes: Tales Of Hauntings, Strange Happenings, And Other Local Lore
S. Schlosser
This was very fun to read and entertaining!
5 stars!
I have finished two books today and now FINALLY I am on track with my reading goal!! Silver Throat
Siri Pettersen
5 stars!!
A very complex fantasy story (vampires) for the intelligent reader.
Horse Whisperings: Portraits by Bob
Tabor
Bob Tabor
2 stars!
The photos in this book are poor quality to me.
It happened on the lake by Lisa Jackson. Rating it a 5, love her storylines and unexpected curve ball she throws into the storyline. I highly recommend this book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Impulse by Ellen Hopkins ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I placed it on my Best of 2025 list🏆 Albeit lengthy, (688 pgs.) it’s an immersive fluid read and penned solely through verse… who does that?
I have just finished these two:Marcus of Umbria: What an Italian Dog Taught an American Girl about Love
Justine van der Leun
5 stars!
This wonderful memoir not only tells you what it is like to live in a small 200 person Italian town with an Italian family (the author is an American who moved there) but her life with a dog named Marcus. Lots of surprises in here.
The Empress of Salt and Fortune
Nghi Vo
2 stars
While I read the whole book, it was dry like a history lesson and the story seemed to exist in this limbo with no description of the setting.
The other day I had finished:Off the Spectrum: Why the Science of Autism Has Failed Women and Girls
Gina Rippon
3 stars
The book didn't really seem to say all that much. Which is odd. It kept repeating over and over "that had mainly been studied in males" but the book is supposed to be about females! Kind of weird....
Riddhiman wrote: "The Labyrinth of Spirits by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, 5 stars"I finished a few days ago as well. Five-Star Rating, for me, also.
I finished two books today...Spectacular Bid: Thoroughbred Legends (Thoroughbred Legends
Timothy T. Capps
2 stars!
This was dry and confusing!
North to the Future: An Offline Adventure through
the Changing Wilds of Alaska
Ben Weissenbach
4 stars!
This memoir is a vivid adventure story set in the wilderness of Alaska. Bears and wolves, difficult terrain, clouds of mosquitoes, hiking out in nature...
My review explains the book better.
I managed to squeeze in two books today but only because the second one was very short! Willa of the Wood
Robert Beatty
4 stars!
A somewhat sad but well written fantasy story set in the Great Smoky Mountains.
The Cariboo Trek of Callum McBay
Colin Campbell
2 stars!
Very dull. The whole book is him traveling but nothing happens. Avoid!

Can't Be Tamed
Yamile Saied Méndez
4 stars!
A great story about two girls who feel they are being squeezed out by the other. And a mare named Velvet.

2 stars!
These poems made no sense to me... Only was confused and lost...
