I just read the Locked Ward and gave it five stars. I'm a sucker for an evil twin story! Here is my review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished these two yesterday:Here Be Dragons: Treading the Deep Waters of Motherhood, Mean Girls, and Generational Trauma
Melanie Shankle
Rated this nonfiction memoir 2 stars - I just couldn't relate to it at all.
Autism, Sensory and Behavior: Everything You
Need to Know
Temple Grandin
Another 2 star review. Usually I enjoy books by this author but this one was a disappointment. It really didn't tell me anything useful to deal with my hyperacusis. For more details see my review.
I have finished Nameless Things
Ernest Jensen
I rated it 3 stars. It's a horror story set in the wilderness of a Colorado state park and it about man eating worms. It's a very fast moving story but the big secret - I had a hard time believing it.
Pretty in pink. Loved loved loved it. The ending was not the same as the movie but I highly recommend it. Good wholesome story line, characters were relatable and it’s the age old conflict of differences between people. We all need acceptance of who we are, what we like and what we have to bring into each other’s lives. Never look down on others, you may not agree with their lifestyle but we live in a country where everyone is different. Be kind
I just finished the nonfiction book The Traitor of Arnhem: WWII’s Greatest Betrayal and the Moment That Changed History Forever
Robert Verkaik
Rated it 3 stars. It's about the traitor named King Kong. This is World War II in case you don't know. He was a British spy who was working for the Nazis.
I have finished these today:Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead
Tom Stoppard
1 star for this play. It made no sense at all.
The Crucible
Arthur Miller
4 stars for this play. It's still as powerful and horrible as when I read it decades ago in school!!
The Well
Jon Allen
5 stars for this fun and mysterious graphic novel. It's a creepy Goosebumps type story.

I just read Keeper of Lost Children by Sadeqa Johnson and gave it well-deserved 5 stars! It was amazing! Here is my review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Under the Same Stars by Libba Bray.I haven't rated it on Goodreads yet but I am giving it a five stars. I finished this book yesterday and it was amazing. I always struggle with multiple timeline books, but this was an amazing book. It had great meaning, great plot, and you never knew what was going to happen next.
The Frozen River by: Ariel Lawhon Very Good 4.5 stars - gave us a really good book club conversation
Debaixo do Vulcão by Malcolm Lowry - Three Stars.Peças escolhidas 3 – Um inimigo do povo, Espectros, Casa de bonecas, Os pilares da Sociedade - Five Stars.
I just finished:The Blanket Cats
Kiyoshi Shigematsu
I rated it 4 stars. These are 7 short stories about cats you can rent out for 3 days. These are not fluffy tales but about people who have problems. Examples include bullying, trying to outsmart the landlord and commiting a crime.
one dark window - five stars (best romantasy i've read, romance does in fact NOT take away from the plot)
Down to the Bone: A Missing Family's Murder and the Elusive Quest for Justice
Caitlin Rother
Only 2 stars! This kept repeating itself over and over. Needs editing too..ugh.
I just finished Assault: Thoroughbred Legends
Eva Jolene Boyd
I rated it 5 stars and I learned a lot about horses from it that I didn't know.
I have finished Dead Blow
Lisa Preston
5 stars!
A great horse story about a female farrier (horse short) and 2 murders. And watch out for Dragoon the two thousand pound bull!
Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk
David Sedaris
A collection of short animal based stories. Some have shocking endings and may be a tad bloody. Not for kids as contains naughty words.
4 stars
I have finished these:Finished this one yesterday:
Live and Let Chai
Bree Baker
4 stars
This is the first book about Everly Swan who lives in Charm North Carolina and runs her tea shop. Her family is cursed and she finds a body on the beach. Of course she starts snooping as it's a mystery. These books are fun reads and Everly gets herself into the most crazy situations. Added bonus are her two pets Lou the seagull and Maggie the cat. There is also a relationship between Everly and the local detective Grady. I actually started the series by reading book #2 and then read all the others in order so now I have finished the series.
This morning I read:
Lotería
Mario Alberto Zambrano
This is the dark story about an 11 year old girl and her troubled family, alcoholic father. Very bad things happen. The story also revolves around Mexican bingo cards that have pictures on them. I didn't exactly understand everything in here (like why a harp is supposed to be called a girl) and there were many Spanish words throughout the book. The story itself is very good and the cards - in full color - are beautiful.
3 stars.
I just finished:When the Moon Hatched
Sarah A. Parker
Rated it 5 stars.
This is not only a story of revenge but also one of a woman who is hiding the truth from herself. Because sometimes things happen that are so bad you hide it. And yes it's full of dragons and magic! The copy I read was 690 pages!
