MountainKat | 31593 comments ‼️Please Read‼️

When I assign a task, I always give the details and requirements for each task underneath. Read that!! If you still have questions, please ask. 😊

If the task doesn't say that it is a 'team decision', 'teams decide' or 'as a team decide on...' you do not need to make a decision as a team. 😉

Look, I am the queen of overthinking but I am telling you to not overthink the tasks!!

message 106: by Maggie (new)

Maggie Robinson (librariansdaughter77) | 1485 comments This is most likely somewhere I missed/forgot it.

If the task is for 4 books to be read and 3 of the 4 of the teammates complete the task - can I call the task complete even if the 4th teammate is still reading/hasn't posted a completion post yet?

Only asking as this weekend has a few holidays over it and everyone all over is running to different places/directions and such. Thanks!

No, the task has to be complete before you post here for a new task. But anyone on the team can post that the team is complete here. Links are always nice, but all I need is something saying "Team X is finished". I just need to know to go check the team thread, I can find the completions within the discussion. 😊

Can the same author include pseudonyms? For example Nora Roberts/JD Robb?

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, #1)
Published November 21st 1984 by Tor UK
Kindle Edition, 224 pages
Author(s):Douglas Adams, Eoin Colfer (Introduction)
ASIN:B00AHQOPEO
Edition language:English

This one looks like the oldest kindle. If you copy the ASIN you can paste it in the add book/author and it will bring it right up.

Christina's answer above looks to be good. There are two or three editions dated 1984, I believe any of those would work.

Susan A | 2160 comments I'm reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen for task new to me author.

I don't know how to find the correct edition. I tried sorting by kindle and date but there are 282 pages of Kindle editions and I can't be sure I have the first one.

Which edition should I use? THank you!

Use this one:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

I don't know if it is right, but it is good enough. The classics are a pain to figure out.

message 140: by Maggie (new)

Maggie Robinson (librariansdaughter77) | 1485 comments Hi! I think I know the answer to this one, but thought I would ask.

One of my teammates had started reading a book on the 17th. She finished it after our task was announced today, the 19th. The book meets the requirement of the task, but I don't think we can use it as the "started reading" date is before the task was announced - correct?

Also correct. Books have to be started after the task is assigned to be used for this challenge.
