**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**

Please note that a rating is now required in your completion posts! A small review is also welcome. 😊

MountainKat | 31597 comments I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.

Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.

PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 9, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉 If you wish to be 'Chase the Rainbow' again, just let me know!

Janeylou | 2975 comments Thanks amanda for sorting our name out

Im just going to copy & paste the tasks from last year, we'll have our shelves for recommendations and favourites ..and i may change a few tasks around when i sort

But once again when the tasks are called if anyone wants to change to coincide with what they are reading , then feel free.

Just one question do we want boat plane motorcyle or car on cover 🤣🤣🤣
Im tempted to go with motorcycle as its on SH 🤔

message 18: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 4048 comments I'm fine with motorcycle! I feel like we struggle with all of them so it won't make too much of a difference.

I did end up going to the walk in clinic after my cold had dragged on for the third week (and I was SOOOO sick), but thankfully my COVID test was negative, and I've felt better every day since.

Hopefully your guy will be feeling better soon! And hopefully you won't get sick.

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 4048 comments First Task - All Teams!

0. Read a book with either blue or yellow on the cover, teams decide which. No pass for this task.

I am sure we are all aware of the nightmare taking place in Ukraine over the past month and a half. To honor the Ukrainians’ strength and sorrow, the first task is to read a book with a color from the Ukrainian flag. Teams decide which color, blue or yellow. The selected book need to be primarily the selected color. No pass for this task

message 37: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 4048 comments So glad I finished my yellow book for uno this morning LOL.

I checked our uno sheet and the three of us don't have any books planned for Blue/Yellow (although we do still need 1 blue and 1 yellow), but I'm thinking wait until Janine pops in as she may have a blue/yellow she's already committed to. But if anyone has one they super want, I'm good with anything

message 38: by Trio (new)

Trio | 2789 comments I'm good with either... I've borrowed Conventionally Yours (True Colors, #1) by Annabeth Albert from the library, but it has yellow writing on it so I'm covered either way.

message 39: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 4048 comments OH I didn't realize it was just either color on the cover, I thought it had to be a blue or yellow cover. I Think Uno has me messed up lol. I'll find one with both as well.

Good first task since you and I hate making the decisions on our own 😂

message 40: by Amanda (last edited Apr 12, 2022 04:53PM) (new)

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 4048 comments Oh no in the Q&A Kat says that is has to be primarily the color lol. (and it says it above I just need to work on my reading comprehension)

From Kat: I try to keep this simple - if you look at a cover and say - 'that's a blue cover' or 'that's a yellow cover', it should work. If you aren't sure and want to use TinEye, that's fine as well. I have a love hate relationship with TinEye and mostly use it to determine how much of a cover is the color I am looking for if that cover is iffy. I hate the names they frequently use and don't rely on them. They will have something that is obviously pink to me and call it tan - or something similar.

message 41: by Trio (new)

Trio | 2789 comments *smack*
oh yes, PRIMARILY that color
Well if it's blue I'm covered, but I can find a yellow one super easy too.
I don't mind if you want to pick Amanda, or we can wait for Janeylou to weigh in.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Review:
