I was looking at that one too. It might be nice to have a few things over the summer. I think there's usually MMRG Spell in the summer? Big Bang...

Just reading through the rules.....
Looks like one book a week should be enough, right?

I just looked through all our challenges and with SH, Big Bang, Umbrells Seashells Wedding Bells, Ocean Layers and the remaining weeks of The Amazing Race and Clue, I have enough on my plate for the next couple months.

Yeah, looks like it! But I don't care.... 😂😂

Im still doing mine , prob gonna be tomorrow before i finish tho
If you and amanda sign up, then ill do mine and say about going on same team
Caipi, youve obviously got way more will power than the rest of us ...or you have more of a social life 😄😄😄
Talking of social.life, ive got My Chemical Romance on Saturday ...keep your fingers crossed for nice weather

Also, just how did I sleep through super loud music?!?

I'm so jealous!!!
I'll pray for a gorgeous evening for you :)

Task 15 - 98. Read 8 books with fewer than 10 letters in the title.
The books selected for this task need to have 9 or fewer letters in the title. Do not count punctuation or spaces, ampersands count as 1 letter.

It doesn't fit with my three remaining SH books either. 😒
I'm going to choose something short for Race or maybe something I can listen to and read my SH books on the side.

Task 15 - 98. Read 8 books with fewer than 10 letters in the title.
Falling by M.L. Rhodes
230 pgs
22nd May ...4.25 stars
How fits ....7 letters in title
Very much insta love , pnr .
Found the plot to be a little basic and could have done with more fleshing out and i would have loved a sequal to answer a few questions ..but i still enjoyed it

Book 1

Unhinged by Onley James
306 Pages
How it qualifies: 8 letters in title
Date Read: 5/21/2022
Rating: 3.5 Stars
Review: This book was kinda ridiculous but I honestly couldn't put it down. It's very unrealistic, but if you suspend your disbelief, it's a wild fun ride
Book 2

Psycho by Onley James
284 Pages
How it qualifies: 6 letters in title
Date Read: 5/21/2022
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: I liked this even more than the first one and I think that was all down to August. I'm a sucker for hapless clueless MC, and August was all that and more since he's incredibly intelligent and a complete psychopath. This series is just a lot of fun, even if it's really out there.
Book 3

Declared by Sam Burns
202 Pages
How it qualifies: 8 Letters in title
Date Read: 5/21/2022
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: This book picks up right where the last left off, but this time we get to see where Jax and Wesley ended up when they didn't return from their distraction mission. The world was fairly built in the first installment, which left this book room to add new and interesting plot points that had parallels to the world we wall live in today. It also had a slightly different tone as our MCs were Jax, who is the grinniest, sunshiney Thorzi to ever live and Wes, who thrives on adventure and has a lot of really fun nerdy references. This book had forced proximity done right, and really set up a lot of the final book in this extremely fun series
Book 4

Best Man by Lily Morton
234 Pages
How it qualifies: 7 Letters in title
Date Read: 5/21/2022
Rating: 5 Stars
Review: I loved it just as much as I did the first time around. It was a completely lovely and humorous story, with a touch of angst, and such a sweet romantic HEA. Morton has a talent of sweeping you away and getting you fully immersed in the story and this was no exception.
Book 5

Hardwood by K.M. Neuhold
205 Pages
How it qualifies: 8 letters in title
Date Read: 5/21/2022
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: I loved Ev and Watson when I first read their story, but it definitely had a little extra with the amazing dual narration by Liam DiCosimo and Tim Paige.

yeah come on Kat... work with us here! LOL

I Need You by Darla O'Malley
195 pages
How it Fits: 8 letters in title
Review: I really enjoyed Darla O'Malley's writing style, and I can see why I Need You is such a popular story.
There are a number of darker themes here... I don't want to spoil anything, and the premise of the story isn't truly revealed in the precis, so I'm not going to say, but this is a real hurt-comfort romance.
This is also the perfect example of what a difference the audiobook narrator makes! I always associate Wyatt Baker with serious, darker romances, so he's a great fit for I Need You. Mr. Baker delivers a lovely performance.

It fits the regular call for Bingo if you're doing that!

I did! I started getting to that crazy level of clean where I was scrubbing baseboards while I just moved from one book to the next lol

Wow Amanda, I wish I sometime had such a boost of energy for cleaning the house! 😂

Lay It Down by Mary Calmes
Pages: 150
How it qualifies: 9 letters in title
Read: May 22nd
Rating: 3.5 stars
Review:
Well, it's a typical Mary Calmes book.... I enjoyed it! 😊

Wow Amanda, I wish I sometime ..."
It's so rare for me I knew I had to take full advantage!

Here is your next task!
Task 16 - 46. Read over 1000 pages in books written by duo authors.
Books selected for this task need to be written by two authors. If both authors names are listed on the main book page/cover, then just list the authors as your qualification. If the two authors write under a pseudonym such as Ilona Andrews, then include a link to the author page or website showing it is two authors.

BTW: By the Way by Lucy Lennox and Molly Maddox
252 Pages
How it qualifies: Written by 2 authors
Date Read: 5/23
Rating: 3 Stars
Review: This was still a good Lucy/Molly book but it was just lacking that extra something. An easy read, but overall probably forgettable.

I'm going to make a post for my selection, so you can link it Janeylou, even though I haven't picked the book yet.

IRL: In Real Life
312 pages
How it Fits: written by Lucy Lennox and Molly Maddox
Read: 24 May
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review: Very sweet.
Of course there's tons of sex, but Lucy Lennox and Molly Maddox create great chemistry between the main characters too. I enjoyed the opposites attract aspect: wealthy businessman/gaming geek. Always works for me.
Audio nicely performed by Michael Pauley.
