Review: I really liked this one! I already knew I liked Walker's romance but I really enjoyed the mystery as well. Great grumpy/sunshine dynamics and a really well done whodunnit.

My book's long, but it works for CREAM too.

Review: Marvelous!
What a fantastic adventure. And I loved how characters from the past stories find their ways into Adrian's tale.
The way Mackenzi Lee tackles Adrian's conditions is beautifully handled, as is the way his friends and family deal with his reactions throughout the novel.
Exciting and dear, and thoroughly enjoyable.

You must be mad ...600 pgs !!!!!!

Definitely not our usual length of books! 😂
I'm going to read Orientation from Amanda's recommendations shelf then. I already wanted to read it for our last task but decided against it because of the "high" page count.

Ah, I don't know why it took me this long to start this series, because I really enjoy this author's writing!
I was captured by the story right from the start. The mystery was interesting and the dynamic between Shaw and North awesome! I definitely need more of them!
And I also need to get back to Hazard and Somerset ASAP!

Totally enjoyed it! :)
I really like this author's writing. I actually read the first 4 books of his Hazard and Somerset Series two years ago and while I greatly enjoyed them I stopped reading them. With our challenges I rarely have the time and patience to read books this long.... 🙈🙈

And I think she's doing better! I'm driving down tomorrow and my sister is going to be staying to help as well so hopefully she has a stress free week

Task 5 - 14. Read a minimum of 1000 pages in books with Contemporary Romance as MPG.
Contemporary and Romance do not have to be combined and may be combined with other words, MM Romance for example, but BOTH must be MPG (Main Page Genre)! Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count.

Review: A little instalovey, but still enjoyable! I thought Nick Hudson did an amazing job narrating and really did a good job with these characters. The big twist was fairly obvious, but didn't take away from anything

Funny and suspenseful, great first book to this to me new series. And wow, this ending I didn't see coming! Some parts of the mystery I did solve but definitely not everything.

One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid

How it Fits: MPG Contemporary
Read: 25 April
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review: Oh my god, I'm gutted!
...and yes, it was worth it.
I really enjoyed the way Taylor Jenkins Reid crafts this story, it's simply beautifully done. I loved The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo so much (so I already know this author can write!), and I'm not surpised by how perfectly they pull this kind of story off. Just WOW.
Julia Whelan does a lovely job with the narration. There's so much emotion flowing, literally all the time, and she holds it together perfectly. Great performance!
Book 2

The King and Jai by Isla Olsen
152 pages / GR
How it Fits: MPG Contemporary
Read: 25 April
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Review: Cute and fun.
I've done so many deep and intense stories lately, it's kinda nice to get a break. Isla Olsen has a very dear way of writing, and Joel Leslie's style of narration is actually a really good fit for it. Easy humor, and a sexy little romance, makes for a solid and enjoyable Saturday afternoon romance.

I also finished: The King and Jai, it's only 152 pages long, but I'll add it to my completion post just in case we need it.

Amanda, not sure how.you getting on but we've got over 1,000 pgs if you would like a pass

MM romance for us ...the only problem is that all my books for next few dates are shorts to finish Greek ..will have to do some changing around

I forget sometimes how big America is and how far apart people are , fortunatley my mom only lives 3 miles down the road

Yeah we live in connecting states and it's a 4 hour drive. Corey was looking at a map where the UK was put inside the US and it's bonkers to me

Review: Like most other mediocre reviews for this one it just was too much. Too many characters mentioned and then dropped, too much going on, I was often lost. I still found myself mostly enjoying it for the banter and humor which kept me going

Review: A start to another great series by EM Lindsey. It's a (former) enemies to lovers tale (they get over the enemies part really quick so it's pretty light), with two men who are just trying to get their lives together. Full of love and passion, I was rooting for these two from the start and really enjoyed their chemistry. It's definitely sports light, not a huge sports read, but just enough to get an alternate reality view into an athlete's life. I listened to the narration by John Solo and thought he did a phenomenal job. Even with the accents, everything was top notch and kept me fully engaged with the story.

Review: Very sweet story, and I like the Universe that Louisa Masters has built. I haven't read any of the previous stories from this world, but I think I kept up just fine. Solid three star fantasy romance.

The Husband Gambit by L.A. Witt

How it Fits: MPG MM Romance

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review: A fun fake boyfriend trope with a billionaire twist. There's plenty of humor, and some nice family drama. A solid four stars for me.
The dual narration by Michael Ferraiuolo and Greg Boudreaux is a nice touch, simply due to the wide variety of characters... but I think either guy could have handled it on his own.
