The Amazing Race Team Challenge - Round 5 - Tracking/Q&A/Announcements

pick a book with both colors and your set to start reading.

pick a book with both colors and your set to start reading."
In task it says the color picked has to be the color most on the book, I have a book ready to go for whatever color is picked.

It claims that the background is black, but I believe the door is a dark navy. Would this work?

I will give you blue for that one.

I try to keep this simple - if you look at a cover and say - 'that's a blue cover' or 'that's a yellow cover', it should work. If you aren't sure and want to use TinEye, that's fine as well. I have a love hate relationship with TinEye and mostly use it to determine how much of a cover is the color I am looking for if that cover is iffy. I hate the names they frequently use and don't rely on them. They will have something that is obviously pink to me and call it tan - or something similar.
ETA: Feel free to ask if you aren't sure. 😊

Good question, thanks for asking. You can use any edition's cover to qualify, but still need the first edition Kindle page count to qualify and in your completion post. Please include the cover you are using in your completion posts.
I will edition the task with additional information. Apparently, I go a month without hosting a team challenge and that is enough for me to forget details!

That will work.

Yes.

Yes."
Thank you!

I found The Match Maker's Playbook on the Uno Blue Shelf and it's on my TBR for that challenge, but it's a darker cover so I wanted to ask. It's fine if it won't work for this one.
Thanks!

That's on my TBR for MnG 50 carry overs :-)

For task #10 - Read 4 books by authors who write under more than one name (Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb)
Is a cover showing "writing as" sufficient qualification?

Yes, that tells me what I would need to know.

Do we all have to read the same author?

Do we all have to read the same author?"
No, this is not a team decision. You may select different authors, but all authors need to qualify.

No, selection posts aren't required. If you chose to use them, please make sure that your completions are labels as completions - I skim right over selection posts!

I'm going to need something to show that it is the same author writing under a pseudonym. Something on a GR author page our website. Or like Karen asked a cover that says "name" writing as "name". I just did a quick glance, but I didn't notice anything on the author pages you linked.
ETA: If you have two books with the same title (or saying previously published as) and the same/similar precis with the two authors' names - that will also work.

Look at Mind Magic and you can see originally the Author is poppy and the later edition is by Macy. This edition makes it clearer Mind Magic
