Blind Date (10 weeks starting 1-Feb; last draw on 4-Apr)

description

This is basically a random read sort of challenge.

Firstly, you'll need to pick about 20 books. All books will need to fit into a Prompt. You may wish to wrap your books and number them 1 to 20. Or if you prefer to do this only digitally; create a list of 20 books and number them 1 to 20. It does not matter how you number/order your books.

A random draw will be conducted weekly and you will read the book with number that was drawn.

The draw will be announced here in this thread so do check in every Monday, starting 31st January.

The last draw will be on Monday 4th April. While this Mini Challenge officially ends that week, there is no pressure for you to keep up with the weekly draw during the challenge. You may catch up with these reads outside of the official challenge period. This is just a bit of fun & to help along with the overall Just Read It! challenge.

YES! I wrapped my books ;)

I had so much fun the last time we played Blind Date, I decided that I had to do this again :D

message 5: by Rosemary (new)

Rosemary | 946 comments This is such a great idea! I will wrap physical books too, and mix them up before numbering them, so by the time one is unwrapped I will have no idea what is in there :)

I will pick lots of mysteries set in England for my favourite trope, and some series books :)

message 6: by Marina (new)

Marina (sonnenbarke) | 1513 comments This is going to be so much fun! I will do it digitally as I mostly read ebooks, although the other option is brilliant :)

Do the 20 books need to fit into just one prompt?

Not at all - it can be spread over all 6 prompts.

LaurLa | 1385 comments I can't remember from last time - if we 'accidentally' read one of our books before the # is called, we can replace it with another... or we uh, need to be be careful about reading books from the list we create?

Tien (tiensblurb) | 9032 comments Mod
I'd prefer if you're being careful but err, I guess you can still accidentally read one so please replace if that's the case.

Did you finish your week 1's book? I've only managed 100 pages of the 480 pages :( And am considering DNF atm soooo... ah wells, will still try slowly read for the next couple of days before I officially decide one way or the other.
