Mini Challenge: Blind Date (Feb-Apr)

I haven't started my first one yet although it is short! Just had very little reading time last week.

I will not unwrap the second book until I've finished the first, so I don't know what it is yet! The mystery is an extra motivation!

The wrapped up idea now sound fun to me. I went with just posting the titles, but if we do this again I think I will go with that option!

I finished book #5 yesterday and beginning book #2 today. I just made a list of books that matched the prompts.

My books! I started out wrapping them in (new) rubbish sacks, then remembered I have enough Christmas paper to last ten years or more, so I switched to that :)

My second book is Mrs Bridge by Evan S Connell. Another short one. This was a Christmas gift.

WELL!!! 500 pager for week 1. Another 500 pager for week 2. And now: a Whooping 752 pager! Happy Valentine's!! ha ha ha

I do have average size books in there!! and even an extra thin one... but no, Universe says Tien must read Big Books

I might miss out on this week. I just put a hold on The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave at the library, but all copies are checked out or being transferred to another library. Might take a bit of time to get my hands on this one.

I'm almost finished with my second book. #16 is an interesting one for me, Frangipani. I've had this on my shelves for a while, it was given to me by a bookcrosser friend. I'm looking forward to it!

I've read my first two books, but my Number 16 fits with ByTheMonth for March, so I'm going to hold off for a couple of weeks.

I was so proud of how I was trucking along the first two weeks, but I can't get into my week three book at all. DNF/to the digital trash bin. Oh, well! Gives me time to whittle down my currently reading list before the next draw.

I just finished this past week's book, Miss Kopp Investigates. It's #7 in the series. A fun read and the Kopp sisters were real people that this fictional series was based on.

I get to read #7 Magpie Murders, but I see it's a library book that isn't due back on the shelves for a few weeks, so I'm going to have to wait on reading it. 🙁

My number 7 is My Sister, the Serial Killer. This is a book that I have been avoiding. (Neither the cover nor the title engage me.) I have requested it from the library. In the meantime, last week's selection has arrived.

I didn't get to week #3 as it only came in from the library yesterday. Will hopefully read week #3 and #4 together.

Interestingly enough my #7 is by the same author as last week. The universe is telling me something :)

my #7 is Boyfriend Material but i won't get to it until March since i'm trying to finish up a couple of SRC tasks...but now that tasks for that next season have been posted, i need to go through and figure out what books I have that fit into prompts

Another one from my local library! This one should be available by tomorrow and is relatively short! I am so very excited about being able to keep up with this game. Last time we did a similar game, I was reading for it many months after it ended.

I don’t have access to Caught in the Revolution: Petrograd, Russia, 1917 for a few days, either. Guess I will spend some time catching up next week!

My #1 sounds like a good mystery. I'll have to finish the book I'm currently reading before starting, though.

I got another 100ish pages left of my book #7 & will start #1 after that - it's shorter yet again (YAY!!) so shouldn't take me as long :)

Ouch, #11 is not one I'm particularly looking forward to: Unknown Sands: Journeys Around the World's Most Isolated Country. I added it because I've had a hardcover copy on my shelves for years and it fits perfectly prompt 3.

I am 4 behind now. Argh! I had 2 books I couldn't get until this week, one that is a very slow read (half way done), and now this new pick. I have to focus on getting these done!

I started so well with this challenge, but now I'm waaaayyy behind.

I think the only reason that I'm keeping up is that I DNF'd 2 out of 6.

I hope this one will be a good read though... I don't like trying to decide if I should DNF or not ha ha ha... I still feel bad for the book!
