Task 10 - 45. Read 6 books with 3 word titles
Books selected for this task need to have titles that are three words long. For this task, articles and ampersands count in the word total. For example The Family Gathering, Cut & Run and Judgment in Death are all 3 word titles.

I liked this one but I didn't love it. I thought that the whole reason they "broke up" was blown out of proportion since it was only a weekend. I know that Ryan wasn't honest, but still...
Anyway, I was happy that they got their second chance despite the ups and downs of reconnecting.
I really liked the characters and the story so I will be continuing with the series.

Match was intense. We won 3-2 with the third goal being scored in the last couple of minutes. These games are to qualify for the World Cup and we are now 2nd in our group. Israel are right behind us but now we are 4 points ahead of them. I was biting my nails the whole time. Atmosphere was electric! I have no voice left 😂

I liked this one too. I liked it more than the first book. I didn't love it but I did enjoy the banter between Talia and Tomas. I wasn't fond of Talia's grandmother or her ex-husband and honestly wish they hadn't even been included in the story.
It was nice seeing Shawna and Ryan again too.
I actually got really enamored to Tomas when I didn't ever think that I would based on how he was behaving in the beginning of the book. But by the end of the story...*swoon*. Loved their HEA and I'm actually looking forward to the next book in the series.

I'm going back to my wheel of wheels book now until our next call!

Murder with Peacocks by Donna Andrews

Pages: 321
How it fits: 3 word title

Review: I picked up Murder with Peacocks because I was in the mood for a cozy mystery. The truth is I had bought the book a couple of years ago, but the dense writing inside the physical copy I had to intimidates me.
I picked the book for two reading challenges, and I am pleased because I liked it very much. Meg, our main character, is the Made of Honor for three weddings, her brother's, her mother's, and her best friend's.
Murder with Peacocks is a perfect storm of a story. Three weddings, three impossible brides, and a murderer let loose among the peacocks. The mysteries are entertaining and clever, and Meg is a real kick-ass kind of person who can handle herself quite well (she's a blacksmith, so nobody messes with her!). And Michael is a terrific guy who fits right into Meg's lifestyle.
I think I will continue with the series as I enjoyed the primary and secondary characters

Review: Rachel as she is now known tries to keep a low profile as she was once convicted of 3 murders and sentenced to death whilst a nanny in America. Now nearly 20 years later in the UK she is again a prime suspect in a murder investigation. The book switches between Rachel’s POV in the current time and her time as Casey in the past. I worked out what had happened quite early on in the story and the only characters I felt really drawn to were the baby and Rachel’s dog! It was an ok read.

Kathy, do you have two books, or do you want me to rea another book?
Let me know so I can start the book.

Hi Avigail...I'm on it! Posting both completions shortly.

Review — I’ve missed Charley Davison’s world! This book was like meeting up with old friends. Almost the entire gang makes an appearance and Garrett gets his happily ever after. There were some pretty deep hurts between Garrett and Marika that needed to be sorted before they could move on. At times, it didn’t help that both are incredibly stubborn, independent people. My only issue with this installment is it was too short. Everything was wrapped up nicely, but I wish I could have stayed with the gang a bit longer.

Review — This has been quite a series! It is funny, sexy, and over-the-top punny. In this conclusion to the Hijinks Harem series, the newly married Arizona and her six husbands are thrown into another crazy jumble of messes. The road to happy was not easy, but this crazy group stuck it out and somehow managed to stay together.

Looking at this round's task list there seems to be an awful lot of those 6 book baddies. And even 8 book ones!!

The more tasks you do, the harder the tasks can get! 😈

If I remember correctly, we picked hat, but I am open to suggestions if there is something else.
Sass, I am willing to read two books for this task.

I see your evil plan now....

Yes it was hat. I'll go look for a book now. And thanks to Avigail and Hazel for offering two books.

I’ve not read this series but loved

Review: Continuing with the series, and the magic and the world-building is very compelling.
The Glass Magician is somewhat dark without going overboard. There are descriptions of violence/mutilations (same as the first book), but it was the right amount, making the book enjoyable.
Even though Ceony makes immature decisions, You can tell that her heart was in the right place, so I didn't hate her for it. It was just a little bit irritating.
I am looking forward to seeing Ceony & Emery's story blossom in the series of the following books.

Review: For a freebie this was a great 2nd chance romance story. Jack had been caught cheating by Sunny 10 yrs previously and she ran away and became a Vet specialising in investigations. Her mother asks her to come home as there could be a disease spreading among Jacks cattle and they want her to look into it. I liked the characters and the storyline and there was some sexual tension and heat between Sunny and Jack. I will definitely read more in the series.
