Ugh, the only thing I hate about friends to lovers is the lack of communication. I really needed them to TALK!

But one thing I will say about Dom and Tennyson were they were HOT, HOT, HOT together! Their backstory was so sweet. I loved that.

And his grand gesture...SWOON! So all in all, I was a sucker for this one, even when they two of them drove me batty with all of their pent-up feelings and lack of communication for a while there!

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4192 comments I read the first book for PTP, Hazel. It was cute but I had some issues that annoyed me as well. BUT, it intrigued me enough to continue on with the series as you can see. :)

I actually liked this book better than the first.

Review: The last book in the series following the Talon pack. I have loved this series but this was not quite as good as the others. I think there needed to be a bit more action/drama around the final fight. I’m glad Max got his HEA but I want to know more about how him and his mate fit into the packs.

Book: The Little Bookshop of Love Stories by Jaimie Admans by Jaimie Admans
Pages: 318
Read: 26 September
Rating: 4.⭐️
How it qualifies: 375 reviews at the time of posting
Review: When I started this book, I thought every bookworm's dream was to own an independent bookstore/shop. At least mine is to be surrounded by books and recommend to others new and old acquaintances.
I felt like I related so much to the main characters, Hallie & Dimitri. I enjoyed the bookish adventures they went on together. Even though the story does include a cute romance, I think the apparent love for literature was the authentic takeaway that I took away from this novel. There's magic that comes along with books and reading, and this story helped capture that feeling.

Looking forward to reading more from Jaimie Admans

Review — I always enjoy Ms. Stoker’s writing and this installment in the Badge of Honor series is no exception. Chief played a pretty significant role in the previous book, so he wasn’t a complete mystery to unravel. We definitely see the chip on his shoulder when he confronts Sophie at the beginning of this story. For her part, Sophie could have been a rather 2D, do-gooder character, but there are layers to Sophie that shine throughout the story to show her as a shy, but extremely strong woman. Overall this was a great story. I just felt the end was a bit rushed and wrapped up a bit too easily.

Dreams of Ivory, Carrie Ann Ryan – 9/27/21 – ✮✮✮✮✰
Kindle first-edition240 pages
How the Book Qualifies ➔ night sky on the cover (see above)
Review — Like the other books in this series, it was rushed and too short. However, it wrapped up the series nicely. This is Jackson’s story. He is the oldest of the Cooper brothers and adverse to magic. He doesn’t accept his newly bestowed power right away, but he works through it to a good resolution. Honor is a past love interest for Jackson. She is back in Holiday to take on her role as a tooth fairy. Jackson has been the gruff, stoic big brother and often considered an ass throughout the town. Knowing Honor is back in town doesn’t initially improve his mood, but as her life is threatened his feelings begin to show through. The antagonist and their resolution was almost not necessary and was really wrapped up as an afterthought. Not my favorite Carrie Ann Ryan series, but it was cute and I’m glad I read them.

Rating: 3.⭐️

How it qualifies: The Assassin's Curse (The Assassin's Curse, #1) by Cassandra Rose Clarke
Review: The Assassin's Curse is one of the first books I heard through Booktube (Jun. 2014.) The Assassins Curse is an engaging tale of pirates and assassins bound together by an impossible curse. (Isn't' it always exciting when the title tells you exactly what the story is about… sometimes, they can be very misleading). You will experience sword fighting, ship sailing, unresolved love pouting, and of course, a search for a cure to rid yourself of a devilishly scarred assassin.
Annana is brave; she knows her mind and is not afraid to fight for what she loves or feels is right. She can be funny and sarcastic but also vulnerable and naïve. Then there is Naji; he can be grumpy, moody, and sometimes a little naughty, but he is also heroic and sweet.
The friendship between these two is what made this novel go from good to great. Our main characters went from dislike to friendship, and it was amazing to read. Will it end up in romance? Maybe, maybe not, this book has the romance aspect on the low burner. However, there is an undercurrent of it there.

I really enjoyed the start of this series. Tori was totally flawed but had a good heart. Her scene in the beginning with the scamming customer...priceless!!! Aaron, Kai and Ezra were so great each in their own way but I have to admit having a soft spot for Ezra.

The story was good and the narration was great. I'm just hoping that there aren't any love triangles in this one because I think it would destroy the chemistry that these characters have. But I guess I won't know about that until I continue the series...so continue on I will.

This is my first book by this author and I was really pleased. I'll definitely read more of her stuff.

I LOVED this right until the end. So not a fan of the cliffy!!!! I took off a star for sure just for that. They are lucky that the audio featured two of my favorite narrators or else I would have bumped it down again!

Anyway, the story was good. It had funny parts, sad ones, and even some poignant ones. I loved Banners take no sh!t attitude even though I know it was mostly a defense mechanism. Some of the stuff that came out of her mouth though...

And holy hotness Logan! The man could dirty talk. And he was just so yummy I can't wait to continue on to see how he's going to make me a puddle of goo in the next book.

I can understand why the ladies in his town were not happen when Banner trounced in and took their prime stud. LOL

I just think that ending really came out of nowhere. I'm so sure there is plausible explanation for the what Logan found right at the end. It was probably Holly's right?

~KarenH~'s Reviews
MountainKat's Reviews

Review: With each book of the Sinclairs family series, you are more connected to the characters; you are fond of the new and the old characters.
Yes, Evan, our leading male character, is arrogant and cocky, but he has his reasons for doing so. He protects his siblings because that is what he did for his entire life. Randi, the female love interest of our story, had a tough childhood, and she is grieving her foster mother's recent death.

Evan is again in Amesport for his nephew’s party, and his meeting with Randi spark their love without knowing that Randi & Evan anonymously correspond via emails. (It is funny that in a couple of books I read with the same theme, anonymous correspondence, the male protagonist finds out first.)

Randi is an excellent teacher to her students, but she also teaches Evan to open up, to live life to the fullest for himself, and shows him how to be happy, enjoys the feeling of happiness. This installment of the series reminds me of the movie ’You Got Mail.’ But Tom Hanks is not so grumpy as Evan is at the beginning of the story.
Looking forward to reading the following books of the series, in ’The Billionaire’s Touch,’ you see glimpses of relationships of the upcoming two couples. Tessa & Micah; Kristin & Jullian.

I can understand the competitiveness, but reading 20 books for the tasks fast, I think I wouldn't enjoy my books. I wouldn't remember what I read. In my opinion, we get recommendations one for the other, and we become closer friends. Thank you all three of you for accepting me to be on your team, as it is my first time taking part.
