Oooh to be starting over. I'll be doing that after I'm finished with #50 and 51. I love starting this series over.

I agree! Thank you oh loyal subjects for being so accepting of my choice. ROTFL
I think the power is going to my head!

Ok, yeah the power thing has gone to my head. :P

Kathy, looking forward to seeing this flourishing relationship. Thank you for introducing me to the In Death series, igniting me to read more books by Nora Roberts aka J. D. Robb.

yes....Roarke!
I can't wait to see what you think of the books as you read them Avigail!

Oh yay, Hazel!!! I'm so glad!

Fifty books in and still LOVE this series! This one was so good. The crime and the ways things unfolded were so convoluted. I loved the way Eve and the team worked the case.
And what amazes me is that in the midst of murder and chaos, Eve and Roarke find these ways to have such tender moments. The tree planting was such a poignant moment, it made me tear up a little bit.
Of course, though, Eve is being her usual badass self. I just love her, but then look at Peabody...she's really coming into her own.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series and then I'll be starting from the beginning again, but I just will never get enough of Eve and Roarke!

Looking forward to continue with the series untill the end of it. Also, the 'In Death' series is one that I don't to binge read.

Thanks for the audiobooks. Work was slow, and I could have an earbud while working. I am writing the review (as I brought my laptop with me to work) and will post the completion of the task.

Review:With each book I read from the 'In Death' series, I am more invested, enjoying Eve & Roarke's relationship. They are a couple that compliments each other for the first moment you see their connection.
In Immortal in Death, Lt. Dallas is dealing with a new drug called Immortality, and her best friend Mavis gets framed for brutally murdering her new boyfriend's former lover. Added to the mix, a dark and terrible secret has made itself known, further throwing Eve off her stride. All while trying to do as little as possible in arranging her wedding to the handsome, rich gazillionaire Roarke.
I loved this book for not only the suspense of it but how much the characters are growing. I love Peabody because she's knowledgeable and speaks her mind. I can't wait to follow her character more. I adore Mavis, even though she can be challenging at times. She tries to get Eve to live her life. I wouldn't say I like Summerset, though, and I wish he would go away. He is not my favorite in the series on how he treats Eve. Someone needs to put him in his place.
J. D. Robb did a fantastic job keeping me on the edge of my seat to figure out who the natural killer in the book was. I was shocked after finding who it was because I was not expecting it to be that person.
Looking forward to what other situations endure us on the next installment of the series.

what she said! =)

If you want to try an audiobook, I will start with Call Me Maybe or Sweet Talk. They are two audiobooks that you listen to them like plays on the radio.
I thoroughly enjoy all the audiobooks above.
I usually pick an audiobook when the book is long and the writing is tiny; when I know, I will sprint my tongue trying to say words that I don't know how to pronounce. Or even books that intimidate me.
Also when I am cleaning the house on Fridays usually I like to hear to an audiobook.

How the Book Qualifies ➔ Sassafrass chose the In Death series
Review — I’m really enjoying my reread of these books! It’s funny what sticks with you and what you completely forget. I love seeing how these characters and their various relationships grow and change. The case in this book is pretty grizzly and brings out some of Eve’s worst memories. She flies off the handle at more than one person throughout the investigation, but she also recognizes how much the case is affecting her. The whole gang makes an appearance at some point in the book and it was nice seeing Eve interact with these characters both professionally and personally, While I couldn’t recall who the murderer was, I did recall the twist that took me by surprise during my first read. It was fun knowing how that particular storyline would play out.

Review: I enjoyed all aspects of this book. I like that it was set in the future and the murder mystery aspect. I liked that Eve is highly principled and likes to obey the law except when she needs to find a workaround. I liked Roarke as well he seemed to be able to push to get the best out of Eve.
I’ve had this book on my kindle for so long and I don’t know ehy I haven’t read it before now. I need to keep reading this series!

Yes, Avaigail needs to correct the page count to 324. 😊

And Avigail, Somerset will grow on you! I found that hard to believe myself, but the relationship between him and Eve is really quite wonderful - in their weird way.

Last Task. Read books with more than one person on the cover.

Review:Barbarian Lover is the story of Kira and Aehako. Yes, Aehako is sweet and caring like Vektal and Raahosh. I can say that I liked more the third installment of the series than the second one.
This one has a little more action than the previous ones, and I don't mean sexy action. The little green men are back, and Kira is the one to hit back, with help from smitten Aehako. Give me one of those blue aliens, and I'd be one lucky lady.
This book is so emotional yet so beautiful at the same time. I fell head over heels for Aehako because he is not only handsome, but he is also sweet, compassionate, funny, and very loving to Kira in every way. Kira goes from a timid girl to such a strong woman by the end of the book. I loved the bond and connection between these two, and I can't wait to get started on book 4.

Review: A sweet single dad / second chance romance. Amelia is desperate for a baby and her biological clock is ticking. She has an appointment set to attend a sperm clinic but her best friend talks her into not forsaking love and giving a matchmaker a chance. She is set up with Lincoln who is widowed with 18 year old twins. He also happens to be the one who got away. Chemistry is still there but Amelia doesn’t Know how to broach the subject of kids. When she eventually does Linc is a bit freaked out but it all ends happily ever after. I would have liked more about the pregnancy and after the birth but that might be included in the 2nd book in the series.

Hazel, from what I checked, your book is ok, because there is only one edition.

Review: I would have liked this to be longer but As it’s a 0.5 I think the next ones might be of a longer length. Harry Steele is the 4th son of a Duke and has been cut off as he won’t go into one of the normal accepted professions. Him and 3 of his friends purchase a coaching company as a proper business to try and hide their illegal dealings. Harry also has a business sorting scandalous situations. When he tries to resolve a situation for Miss Alice North, involving her sister he is surprised that he develops feelings and wants a future with her. Alice at first isn’t impressed with Harry and his flamboyant and roguish manner but also begins to develop feelings for him. I will definitely read the next book in the series to see how the other rogues fair.

This was cute. It was just a *tad* unbelievable but hey, I'm not a billionaire heiress so I don't know if I would ever be an errand girl for a spoiler soccer star. LOL
However, there were other things that were just a bit unbelievable as well. The virgin one night stand thing is out there for me, but I was easily able to fall into this story. I felt really bad for "Hugo" when he suffered his loss. But I didn't like how he took it out on "Ashley".
Anyway I'm glad that Mackenzie and Slade (their real names) finally got their acts together, I was glad that Mackenzie's douchebag ex-fiancée got what was coming to him, and I do look forward to more books in this series.
