The Amazing Race Team Challenge - Round 4 - Tracking/Q&A/Announcements
‼️ PLEASE TAKE NOTE! ‼️With the challenge ending on Wednesday, November 17th, there will a minor change to the last task. Beginning on Monday, November 15th, when teams post their completions and get a new task, they will all get the same task. For this task, instead of just completing it, you will continue reading to add to the total number of books read for your team. There will be no passes for the last task and to complete it, every team member must complete a book for the task and contribute to the overall book count. So, the task is considered ‘completed’ when every team member has read one book for the task, but you can continue reading in order to increase your overall book count for the task in case that is needed for a tie breaker. In the event that two or more teams are tied based on the number of tasks completed, the team with the highest book count will win The Amazing Race Team Challenge!
**Remember if your completion posts are incomplete or have the wrong page count, your books will not count. So help each other out by checking the posts!**
‼️ If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. ‼️

And the challenge ends on the 17th - so through to 11.59pm on the 17th.
(Something like a 30 hour task session if there is a read-off?)
Or will you assign the last task at an earlier time on Tuesday? (I'm always asleep, so don't really know when you normally allocate them ;)

It should be about 36 hours for the last task between the two leading teams. Others will be doing it too, but I know you are only concerned with the two teams. 😉

Kat Team 3 should be task 27 completion in Msg 517. I’ve put 26 by mistake.
Kat for task 125, what happen if the book when Selected has a rating of 4.01 but when you finish reading its rating fell bellow 4.0?

Ok, I have updated through here and assigned tasks to the teams that needed them. I did not update the tracking at the beginning of this thread or the team threads - too much to do from my phone while hubby drives. We are out all day today, but I can try to check in when we stop for lunch and dinner. And I will check in again when we get home.
ETA: I do not have notifications turned on, so I will only see comments when I check in.

For the last task, do we need selection Posts or will just a completion post do.Also last time we didnt have to do a post linking all books in this thread, is that still the case?
One last thing, does this end eastern or pacific time?

There is no need to post a team completion in the Q&A (this thread) for the last task. I will check all the team threads when the challenge ends.
The challenge ends at the end of Wednesday Eastern time, so 9 PM Pacific time.
Would this count as more than one person on cover?

I’d like to check my understanding and please anyone who understands this can answerMy team has 27 tasks complete. Two other teams have 28 tasks complete. As long as one of those teams complete today’s task, which is extremely likely, there is no possible way for my team to win, no matter how many books we read with this last task.

I believe you are reading for third against Team 7 - they were also just assigned their 28th task. As long as the other teams complete their last task (everyone reads at least one book for the task), then you could not catch up.
For the last task would the blurry fans in the stands make this acceptable:

the book i read today just came out today. There are no page listings on amazon, goodreads, or carina, the publisher. One of the ladies found it on Kobo as 270 pgs. the actual ebook has 431 in apple books. Which one do i use
