This is a new author for me and I did like the story although in parts I did think it could be trimmed down a little. There were periods of story where little happened and sometimes we would be in the present day and then next thing we had gone back 20 years.
That said it was a nice story. Very little romance and no sex and has set up the series for the next book.

Those little loose threads that would come to mind during or after we had finished a book and had us wondering... but, what happened then? And now we know! *grin*

This probably would have been much more enjoyable had I read the first 3 books in the series but you know. Whatever. I didn't really like any of the characters which is sad. Ethan seemed a bit whiny taking whatever crumbs Max threw his way. His client Rob was really douchey. And Max, Ethan's Dom just seemed kind of cold. All in all, and entertaining story which was the best part.

Who'd a thought botany could be so sexy? Not me, that's for sure. This was a sweet little enemies to lovers story about two botanist that really burned up the sheets. Pretty good feels for such a short book. Wasn't expecting it to be so satisfying!!

Holy crap. Could these two take any longer to get together? I don't think so. They were with each other the entire book and it took until the endish for things to really get going. The action and romance both didn't happen for quite a while but I still enjoyed it. Just wish it would have moved along a little quicker.

Review:
Ok - so this isn't the best written nor narrated book, but it is an old favourite of mine. I'm accustomed to the choppily changing POV switches and the fairly flat narration. More importantly, it reads and feels like a true representation of two MCs dancing around each other as they work out if the other is gay and open to approach...
I enjoy the school setting more than most other teacher based books. There are no crazy parents involved and other silly frictions that are placed for the sake of creating a more angsty plot line...

This is a spinoff of the Love & Luck series so we've met both of the MCs before. Will is Jamie's BFF and Spencer is one of the Kelly's enemy from rugby. As with all this author's books, I found it completely entertaining. Realistic? Not so much but I don't mind that in a quick fluffy read. We could have done with Spencer having a little more faith in Will but forgiving soul that he is, Will got over it. Can't wait for book 2, love these little reads.

Some very funny passages, esp when the large (Irish) Kelly gang get involved, or MC Blake's mother 'Sunny' appears.

I'm not that keen on the 'daddy' appellation during the sex scenes, but it does make a lot of sense :) It is otherwise not focussed on Daddy kink.

My memory from the first time I read this book was that I had really enjoyed it. On this read, whilst I enjoyed it, it wasn't more than a 3 star read. A bit too much of MC Christian being down on himself and not taking charge of his life...
