I was anxious to read this book and was looking forward to this one probably more than any other in this series which is probably why I was a bit let down. Their relationship unfolds in flashbacks and wasn't any more than just sex which didn't really explain the "being in love for 11 years" thing. Probably just me but I was hoping for something more. Don't know what that more would be but I was a tad disappointed. Still a fun story but not my favorite in the series.

If |I hadn't been reading this for a challenge, I probably would have dnf'd.
There was insta, insta love. ( within a month they were moved in together).
Way too much sex. I had to get a flashlight to search out the story. Where I found it, it had the makings of a good story but then just as it was going along fine, bang ( literally) they were at it again.

Such a fun book; some great MC teasing with heavy dosing of snark! One MC hates humans, the other MC needs revenge - together they are a super-hot combo with high friction and great chemistry.
Narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo - amazing work by him every single time! LOVE listening to the books he reads!

Well, that certainly was my least favorite so far...
I didn't really see much of a story, other than the usual plotlines used for the Gargoyle books. And can I just say that the last scene was so crazy over the top that it pretty much ruined the book for me! A controlling, bigoted dad was to be expected, but the whole Chrissy issue... seriously? There was NO lead up to the final scene... it was just dropped in our laps... grrr

What started out as an exciting omega rescue turned a bit odd with Cody, the traumatized omega, turning into the little Dom of the big bad alpha who rescued him. I will say it was different! Will probably read more of these little stories because they entertain me.

Review:
I really enjoyed this. I like that MCs in this series aren't perfect but are still pretty special; they strive and fight for their place in the world and don't make excuses for their current position in life. And they are stronger and smarter for it.
This one has MC Kade trying to move on after a poor choice and trusting the wrong person. MC Shane is grieving over his dead husband but also moving on in life with his two young kids. And so the story goes...
Narrated by John Solo - he does an excellent job and perfectly portrays the kids as well as the MCs.

So this continues where book 1 left off. Len and Abligard are preparing to visit Dhuinne to stop the Hunt and the destruction of earth.
Len and Abligard are getting closer and there are a couple of moments of light BDSM, but I am enjoying the story

Back with Cosmo and Joh and they are a few months into married life. Cosmo is sucked into a mystery when he is sent some pictures of John's sister with a man in bed.
I enjoyed this and its good to see that the trilogy is going to add another book even if we have to wait over a year for it.

My first book by this author and although I found bits of the story intriguing, it was fairly bland overall. Would like to give another one of her books a try in the future... just to see how it compares!

*I was a bit surprised by one of the reviews that stated "the racism jumped out" not really sure where that is coming from and now I am wondering what I missed... grrr
*Also, this would have been a 3-star read for me, except it was so well edited and proofread that I felt it deserved an extra star just for that, seeing how it is SO rarely found in an M/M book... *headdesk*
