Task 12 - 108. As a team, select a season and read a minimum of 1500 pages of books set in that season.

As a team select a season and everyone reads books totally at least 1500 pages of books set during that season. Remember to let me know how you know your book qualifies, be it title, precis, tags or lists. I need to know where to look to confirm your books! Please include any links or other necessary information in your completion posts along with the team selected season. Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count.

Ok, we have
108. As a team, select a season and read a minimum of 1500 pages of books set in that season.

You have said a list qualifies. So if we find a list of say winter themed books, does the book qualify just from being on that list or does it also need another qualifier eg tags, precis.

winter themed romances

Also would a winter - holidays tag qualify for the above task.

Lastly, if winter is in the title but it isnt set in the winter season does it still qualify as winter is in the title.

Review:
A humorous sweet story of one stranding Aussie in the snow and the lovely fellow from Montana who takes him in. Great characters and side-kicks, with lots of references to Schitts Creek (which I am yet to watch, so sadly they went over my head) and Legally Blonde :)

The snow may have been fake, but the love was certainly real!

In some ways, this was a hard story to read and in others, it is a story that you will be so glad that you read!

Now, I have to find time to read A Much Younger Man! I feel like I should have read this one first... grrr

It was refreshing to read a book with mature MCs and with little to no angst.
Joshua and Alex took a while to get to one another, both suffering heartbreak in the past.
A nice secondary cast of kids and best friends.

Also it was nice to read somebody talking about 'trimming the tree'. I have always said that, maybe its because I am a New Englander. In the UK they look at me funny because they decorate the tree.

Its strange that this doesn't appear on the winter lists (which I shall correct as soon as this review is complete!) since they are traipsing around in snow at the beginning of the book pre-Christmas and throughout the timeframe that the book is told ~ a month or so...

Task 13 - 92. Read over 1500 pages in books set in the future or the past - teams decide.

As a team decide whether your books will be set in the past or in the future, then read at least 1500 books set in that time frame. 'Historical' or 'Futuristic' tags will qualify depending on the selected time frame. If looking for years, it would need to be 25 years to the future or the past. (I really wanted to make it longer for the past because it is hard to think of something in my lifetime being historical... 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😂) Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count.

MK, somebody told me the definition of historical was 50 years in the past.
I do all the team challenges in the MM Group and for historical I set the date at 1967 or before.

I've always considered 50 years to be needed for historical too. But this task is set in the future or past - so not necessarily historical. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do still have to plant more seeds to put in the greenhouse and still working on getting rid of all the crap that we have accumulated over the last decade and a half that we don't even need or use but that won't interfere with my reading (listening?) as I work in short spurts as ALL old women should do! *grin*

Review:
I thoroughly enjoyed this cozy mystery with a good side dollop of doctor/spy romance to ease it along :) Set in the Cotswolds against the evolving period after WW2, the story involves great characters (main and secondary) and a wonderfully 'upright' view of life from all aspects.

I would definitely read this again.

Excellent narration by Joel Leslie.

OK, it's official... I am sicker than a dog! UGH! HB is insisting that I go to the doctor this morning, so Jane, you may want to pick up my slack as I don't know how long this will take or what tests and such they will send me for... grrr

I have no clue what is wrong. All I know is that by the time HB got home last night I was having cold sweats, holding on to walls to keep from passing out and my legs felt like wet noodles. This had better pass quickly... I have things to do! ;p
