Tell me about it! *headdesk*
While I am down here, my sister and I will be doing the 2 bedroom paint job this weekend that we had to postpone earlier this month and then she and I have to repair about 80 feet of her metal fence behind her house that the flood took out and then home on Thursday to get my second shot... I am REALLY hoping it doesn't take me down, because HB and I need to set up the greenhouse and add another section of fence around the back of our property to keep the critters out of our garden this summer... gotta love my life! *snort* LOL!!!

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments The answer to Lisa's question 😅 I don't know most of the pseudonyms either when i check out my shelves!

Lisa wrote: "MKat,
If a writer writes under different names, do both of them need to be new to you?"

Depends on how much of a rule follower you are! 😂

Seriously, I am only going to search for the name on the book you read. I don't even know all the different authors and their pseudonyms, so I don't really expect you all to either.

New to me author. This is one of their earlier books, so I might try a more recent one next if they pop up on my radar - and are in audio ;)

(view spoiler)

Narrated by Bump Turgeson - new to me as well. Good job. There were a couple of unexplained pauses but they had zero impact on enjoyment.

Read: 3/25
Qualification: Donna's Maz Maddox books

I thought I would like this more than I did, but I did enjoy it! Maybe I just need to NOT read the reviews before I read a story! *headdesk* LOL!!!

My only "complaint" was that I didn't feel the Dalton/Simon click... well, until the rescue, and then it was working really well for me! *grin*

I suppose now is when I should mention that I have only seen parts of two different Jurrasic Park movies and wasn't horribly impressed with either one... but I did find myself Googling each dinosaur as they were named and found it to be an excellent learning experience! ;D

And, I wanted to give a quick shout-out for the wonderful description of the great camping we have out my way under an amazing West Virginia night sky! Good Job!!! :D

Now, to find time to read Sink or Swim...

A necromancer, who doesn't realize he is one teams up with 2 vamps, a demon, a fae and a cat sidhu to stop The Hunt coming from the Far Realm and killing Earth's inhabitants.
A good story but no romance for our MCs, although he will be back again in book 2 with the fae from this book, perhaps something will happen.
I also love how authors write about cat familiars etc, just superb.

New author is always tricky but I absolutely loved this book. Almost a 5 star read for me but nothing is hitting that mark lately and that may be me. We start with the sex, get some plot and more sex, more interesting plot twist, more sex....you get the idea. Lots going on in this one and while Micah was an easily likable guy, I have to go with the complicated Devlin. His awkwardness on their "dates" was just kind of adorable and sad at the same time. Will definitely read more by this author if she writes more M/M.

Whoa - hope that one comes out in audio :)

...had to google that Fenty stuff. I'm hopeless with makeup. I recently bought new mascara and eyeliner (at the local natural food store ;) cos the last ones were giving me sore eyes. After consideration, I realised that the old ones were probably over 5 years old and had likely gone 'off' 🙄

The rest of my makeup is probably more than 10-20 years old - or given to me 🧐

A full on comfort read for me, with this being as much adventure and life realisation, as a romance. Its fantasy with LOTS of characters but I think this is why I enjoy my rereads so much ~ its very complete and reflective of how this story might play out if anything so wonderful could be real... (I'm blithering I know, but that's my current tired state of mind ;)

These are the kind of sports books I can get into. Not too much of the sport but lots of relationship building and hot smexing. The banter between Beck and Jacobs was entertaining as hell and their relationship was pretty easy without much angst or drama. Both gay sex virgins so bonus points for that. Fun, easy read.

Blue and Levi along with Tom are a few people from the paranormal world invited by a Viscount to attend a weekend at his haunted home. The Viscount wants to make money from turning his home into a macrabe hotel for the rich.
An excellent story, spooky in parts. Really enjoyed it. Shame its book 2 of 2 as I could carry on reading about Levi and Blue

Restaurants are closed here due to lockdown. However when they were open I think you had to wear a mask all the time except when you were eating/drinking.

message 341: by Donna (new)

Donna (donnaburks61) | 1287 comments We are open just around 50% capacity... most restaurants here have the tables isolated, but we find it weird that the masks come off when we are seated... but it seems to work well! Great food and a wonderful visit... Daddy is always a barrel of laughs!

And meanwhile on Saturday night we attended a wedding (sit down & catered) with 160 ppl from all over the place, but mainly Qld. We are so lucky.

Why not 5-stars you ask? Well, let me tell you why... not only with the first book but with this one, also, I spent almost as much time Googling as reading... *headdesk*

There were dinosaurs to Google... foods to Google... places to Google... strange words to Google and all the while I tried to look over the missing words and such... so, yeah... that is why I didn't give it 5-stars! *snort* LOL!!!

To be honest, I didn't remember who Baha was, so I had to go back and check it out in Smash & Grab, which I had just read 2 days before... this old brain can sure be a PITA... grrr

But, after the refresh, I was excited to see how his story was going to turn out and it would appear that it takes a certain "cowboy" to find a way through to his lonely and homesick heart and Jackson was up to the task! *grin*

Another excellent read by this new to me author and I look forward to all the boys getting their stories in the future! *fingers crossed*
