‼️ PLEASE TAKE NOTE! ‼️With the challenge ending on Sunday, November 8th, there will a minor change to the last task. Beginning on Friday, November 6th, when teams post their completions and get a new task, they will all get the same task. For this task, instead of just completing it, you will continue reading to add to the total number of pages read for your team. There will be no passes for the last task and to complete it, every team member must complete a book for the task and contribute to the overall page count. In the event that two or more teams are tied based on the number of tasks completed, the team with the highest page count will win The Amazing Race Team Challenge!
**Remember if your completion posts are incomplete or have the wrong page count, your books will not count. So help each other out by checking the posts!**
‼️ If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. ‼️
ETA: Teams with less or more than the standard 4 teammates will have their page counts adjusted up or down accordingly. Basically 75/100/125 pages would all equal 100 pages depending on the size of your team.
I am assuming the pages read will be for the final task only and not the challenge as a whole. Is that right?

Does this mean every team, regardless of what task they are up to, can win?
Question about this task:68. Read a minimum of 1200 1500 pages in books with one word titles.
Articles and ampersands count! Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count.
Do hashtags count as a separate word? So I couldn't read #Starstruck for this task?
Lisa wrote: "I am assuming the pages read will be for the final task only and not the challenge as a whole. Is that right?"Page count is only for the last task.
Jane (PS) wrote: "Does this mean every team, regardless of what task they are up to, can win?"No, first is the tasks completed, page count is only a tiebreaker for placement. This is not just for the overall win, but for places down the line too. 😊

I would consider the hashtag more as punctuation in this case, similar to if the title ended in a question mark or exclamation point. So your example would be a one word title.
MK, can you confirm what time the challenge finishes please, so we can make sure everything is posted. Also do you require a completion post for this last task at closing time or can it be updated the following morning?
MK, there appears to be 2 kindle listings for the book below with the same date but different page counts. Can I claim the higher page count as I am not sure which is the correct edition?
Delivering Dante

The challenge ends at midnight Sunday US EST - the END of the day Sunday on the US east coast.
Completion posts must be made before the challenge ends to count!

As long as they are both the initial publication date, you can claim either one. 😉
In this case you could claim either 290 or 272 as both Kindle editions were released on the same date - I know which I could claim. 😊

Sorry, I meant the post Jane usually does with the link to our completion posts.
I know our individual book completion posts need to be posted before the end.

There is no need for the teams to claim a completion for this task. I will be checking all teams to see where they finish.
Forgot about this from the last time, I really need to take better notes!
Diamond wrote: "hi"Hi Diamond, I see you are new here. If you wish to engage in the group, there are threads to introduce yourself and get ideas where to begin with our challenges. Check the threads in this folder. This is a team challenge that is about to end, so everyone is pretty wrapped up in completing this with their teams right now.
Lisa wrote: "MK, for the last task, does a writer who uses only 1 name, hence 1 initial count?"I'm going to say no to this one - sort of defeats the purpose of the task.
I'm a little confused on whether we post the last task so to be safe:Reading Rainbows team 14 task 11
