Sorry for the delay. But I did make it through this bear of a week! We’ve had people out on quarantine due to COVID-19 infections and some people out due to needing to wait to be cleared by testing in order to come back. it’s such a mess. I’m so ready for this to be over.
This is the third time this has happened. It’s so insane. I just hope everyone recovers but we are struggling with making sure everyone is good with their PPE and people make some reckless decision trying to preserve things and end up infected themselves. *sigh*. They have their hearts in the right place but it can end up being catastrophic if they were to succumb to this thing!

For this one I’m going to read

Laura I think that lots of people had COVID-19 before we knew what it was and that we are going to find out it was even bigger than we thought.
I too am scared for the cold weather. I’m not sure what things are going to look like.
I just hope that as inconvenient as it that EVERYONE wears a mask. This thing is not hoax and it’s not going to just miraculously go away. We all have to put in the work and sacrifice to get this thing GONE!

I thought this was cute. I really enjoyed the journey that Simone and Roscoe went though. I was fascinated by the way both of their minds worked. I can’t believe they didn’t see how perfect they were for so long.
I hate that Roscoe never told Simone what happened between them in full. So I did feel Ike that was left unfinished but other than that, I thought this was extremely entertaining.
I’m loving this series and can’t wait to continue.

We were camping this weekend, so out of cell range and just catching up. Sass, it is amazing what you and the other front line workers do every day. I echo everyone’s wishes to please stay safe.
Yes, I am always amazed when when I see someone not wearing a mask - such a simple thing we can all do to help everyone, and help bring down the numbers.

Review: This is a continuation of the Eagle elite mafia series and is just as good as the others. A bit darker and more tragic than some of the others as it focuses on Chase coming to terms with being betrayed by his mob boss wife and his path of destruction in hopes that it leads to his death. Another great book in the series.

Overall a pretty good lite fantasy mystery, although I knew from the very beginning who the villain was and so that detracted a bit from my enjoyment as it was so obvious I couldn’t believe the actual detective too so long to figure it out. I really like the main characters of Riga and Donovan though, and am curious where this series will continue to propel their story.

I've got the first book in the series on my TBR. Maybe I'll do that one. It WAS on audible escape and it's not on there any more but I can get it with hoopla from my library.

Heidi's Guide to Four Letter Words by Tara Sivec and Andi Arndt

This book was absolutely hilarious, to the point where I was laughing out loud throughout the entire book. So many books try to feel funny and it comes across as forced to me so then it’s not so funny, but rather more annoying. Instead, the character of Heidi was brilliantly quirky, cute, and awkward, and watching her grow throughout the book from a unhappy fired kindergarten teacher to a woman who decided to take chances and go for what she wanted in life was a joy to read. I thought Heidi’s podcasts were hysterical - that is definitely something I would want to listen to in real life - and the weaving in to the storyline of her new workplace (where they do audiobooks for erotic romances) and new friends was fantastic. That one scene alone with her new boyfriend Brent, the funeral ties, and her parents will have me laughing for days, seriously. This is the first book I’ve read by either author, but it will most definitely not be my last. 5 stars.

I picked them both up
I started Audio booking

I will finish it up tommorow and either post a completion tommorow eve or thurs morn xxxx

Aww, I really loved the Baileys. I can't wait to get to know this family better. But, Austin...wow. Talk about the perfect man. I couldn't even be mad at him for wanting to leave his hometown. The relationship between him and Holly was obvious from the start but the first introduction we got to them...HA!
The only reason I gave this one a 4 instead of a 5 was that I thought the whole plane thing was little too cheesy and made be suspend belief a little too much. Other than that, I really thought it was great.
I can't wait read the read of the siblings' stories. I have to know what will happen next!

Review: 2nd book in the series following the Bailey family. I’ve loved getting to know some of them better. I enjoyed this one but not as much as the last one.
Asshole Jeff leaves Brooklyn at the alter the week after they sign a lease on an apartment. New to the area hottie Wyatt happens to be in the apartment next door and thanks to the Bailey clan seems to get sucked into family life. He is only in lake starlight for a short time and he is using an alias and hiding his reasons for being there.
I’m looking forward to book 3!

Its not that this was bad... it was just boring...... The characters had no real personalities to them just a generic man and woman getting down and dirty at the office!!!!!
Ellie under Jacks supervision goes undercover as a man to her brothers and her brothers best friend (Jack's) Company, to investigate if women are treated Fairly in comparison to men.
The Author could have made this really witty and funny but it just fell short, the characters and story were so bland......

MPG Holiday - Christmas
Wow Wow Wow
I love Sophie Kinsella books as they have the dry humor to them, great characters and writing... This new Author to me is her contender!....
This was Brilliant!!!!
Nikki Hires Diego an actor to be her holiday, boyfriend as her sister has gotten engaged to the love of her life....
sprinkled with snow and Nikki the christmas scrooge... the story was predictable but the writing style made it brilliant huge 5 star and will definitely read this Author again.

A different holiday....Sorry im not in US so dont really know any others other than christmas or new years.....
would Valentines or Halloween count? If so maybe read a book on them....
Im not sure what M kat meant by US version (Vacation maybe) as we Call a Vacation a holiday in Uk or it has to be an American Holiday.... If it counts they have holidays all over the world and traditions... Mardi Gras and the Carnivals....

So really not my cuppa. In the beginning the author didn’t take the time to explain a lot of the terms that she was using, and being as though I was listening on audio it made things a bit confusing.
Then they mythology was a bit wonky for me. And honestly I just couldn’t get into this one. It’s a shame because this is one of my last books on Audible escape and I feel like I wasted an opportunity to listen to something better.
