Wow. Nice haul.

As the name suggests Half Price Books sells most of their inventory for half the MSRP, so when there's a 50% off coupon the books are 25% the MSRP. Absolute All-Star Superman was the highlight of the day for me.
I just ordered goon library v1 to make free shipping. I think a chat should be created for recommended online stores with catagories for country where we can also post sale events
Today I ordered Thor God of Thunder Vol 2 OHC
Thor Vol 1 OHC (Aaron's 3rd)
Absolute Superman For Tomorrow (my first Absolute)
Yeah those two volumes. Didn't like three and didn't bother with four. Also didn't like Goddess volume 1. I like his indie stuff better.
Just ordered (what seems to be on everybody's order lately ;P) today form my "local" online ComicBook retailerMs marvel Omni
War of kings Omni
Outcast book one
And a couple days ago I ordered this on amazon
Irredeemable 1 & 2
Aaron dr. Strange 1 & 2 (I'm currently really enjoying the omnibus)
Titans hunt tp
Catwoman 4&5 (the ones following Brubakers run)
Superman all seasons deluxe
Inhumans OHC
I think that's it
I really enjoyed the two Aaron Thor God-butcher OHCs but the next OHC with female Thor was not nearly as good and it's clear you are missing some in-between events (original sin).
That was a fantastic Half-Price Books haul. :)

The things I am interested in being released on IST today, we will have a Flash Omnibus by Manapul, The Don Rosa Duck books box set 3, and Alex + Ada Complete Collection Deluxe Edition HC.
There is also the DM cover Deadly Hands of Kung Fu omnibus but I'm leaning away from picking that book up.

I'm curious whether the Flash omnibus will be sewn or glued. 480 pages for $50+ is a bit steep considering it's not oversized.
Amazon lists the Flash Omni at 480 but IST has it at 709 pages. Not sure which one is correct, but with 27 issues I'm guessing IST has it right.
DC still does glued binding? I assumed all of their Omnibus were sewn and I hoped that their Deluxe HCs were sewn as well.

The Flash Omnibus is oversized per Amazon listing and all the DC omnibus volumes (save Starman) have been oversized.

I guess you're right. A half inch isn't a huge difference though. I'll wait to see what people think. Maybe reread the TPBs in the meantime.
Yep, I can read the description. I've just enjoyed the 12"+ editions like Goon and Deadly Class for under $30.
Yeah, that and the price difference. Batman Year One for what, $125? Ha! IST has it at $75 and I still can't justify that.
if the omnibuses were as big as the library edition, they would be imposible to read... no one could carry those things.
I dunno about that. The library editions are already lap/table books. Absolute Transmetropolitan was nearly 600 pages. But I do see your point.
I've seen Big Damn in the library. It is huge. It's like a hardcover phone book. I guess I just prefer the artwork and lettering (for readability) as big as possible. Are they cumbersome? Sure. But most hardcover compilations are. The Goon Libraries are big and heavy at only 400+ but damn do they look nice. But I guess that's the difference between omnibuses and non-omni OHCs. I'd rather have two 12" books that collect two volumes each than a smaller heavier omnibus.

I'm with Donovan on this one. The omnibus volumes can almost be intimidating to read and unwieldy to handle. I'll take OHCs and Deluxes any day.
Having just received goon library 1 and currently reading Gotham central omnibus I prefer the ohc deluxe print size. Saga deluxe was about perfect. The goon is big it's nearly absolute size just a touch taller and almost 2x thick than hell boy which was biggest comfortable bed reading.
True they're a bit unwieldy at times, but those enormous omnibus editions look so good on a shelf. Plus there's the added benefit of being able to kill someone with one, if the need arises.
Talking about book sizes I just purchased on eBay all the Lone Wolf and cub single issues. I'm aware that there are some omnibus volumes on the market but I just can't stand the size of those books, they're too small for my taste. And for what i've seen the art of this series is too gorgeous to sample it in so little pages.
I really prefer the size (l x w) of deadly class and sixth gun which I believe is the same as Absolutes but without the hefty price tag.
Just opened fables and noticed the cover art and thought that I like books with images spreads across spine. Are there any series that do this? https://2d5nep2aya983psxvw3nw0l9-wpen...

But while googling for this I found out that there are other mangas as well with this kind of spine art, like Buddha.
Just got War of Kings omnibus and, after recommendations here, Fear Agent Library Editions 1&2. Very much looking forward to these. On the Big Damn Sin City discussion, I can confirm that it is beyond massive. It actually gave me a dead leg whilst reading on more than one occasion, but the artwork really looks great in the large format, and having it all in one place is nice.

Congratulations on getting Fear Agent. It is one of the best sci-fi book (not only Graphic novel or novel but any written text is included for consideration :P) I have ever read. And I am somebody who is not very much into sci-fi. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Like you, I love Big Damn Sin city. Is it unwieldy? Sure. But is it worth the pain? You bet your ass it is!
Looks like the final Sweet Tooth Deluxe volume (3) will be available today on IST. I'm looking forward to finishing the series. :)
Other than that book we have Watchman Noir (pencils only) and the DC Universe Rebirth Deluxe.
Edit to add, Rick and Morty HC vol 1 comes out today as well.

Cheese wrote: "I'm not sure weather to invest in War of Kings or not :S"I've enjoyed Annihilation & Conquest, so I'm hoping WoK will be a worthwhile investment. If not, it'll be an expensive mistake.
Bruno wrote: "I've decided to not to pursuit War of Kings. 3 omnibus seems overkill..."You need to also remember that to get the complete story you have to get 2 additional Annihilation omnibus too. So you have to buy 5 omnibuses (one is already oop and ridiculously high priced) to complete the collection. I do not have that kind of money with me, hence I have decided to go the Marvel Unlimited route for this one and use the extra cash to buy some self contained OHCs :)
I got lucky with the Annihilation omni. A couple years ago it was already selling around the $150 price point but I found one on eBay for $80 and jumped on it. Now I've seen it going for upwards of $400 so I'm glad I grabbed it. Great book, but not worth spending that much.
