I'm in CST, and everything is "out of stock" until 1100. After 1100, I can order. I can see the list prior to that, but cannot purchase.

Thanks! I don't order from them regularly and wasn't sure.

Nope, pretty sparse. It's only my second month ordering from DCBS, and I have never received anything from them. A little nervous, but I'm hopeful that everything will arrive as promised!
I'm trying to adjust from Amazon only ordering to looking for the best deals across DCBS, IST, and CGN. Hopefully I'll see books come in sometime in the next few weeks!

This is my second month ordering from them, too. I don't get much from Amazon or Ebay, but seems too many books are selling out at IST and CGN so trying to get ahead of the game.
In fact, I had ordered the new print of Infinity Gauntlet Omnibus from IST, and then got an email yesterday saying they had sold out before filling my order. Kinda frustrating.

That's what I'm worried about. I used to only order through amazon, and always got what I wanted. But, I love the DM variants for some of the omnibuses, so I'm trying to branch out. Plus the costs saving can't be ignored. We'll see..

Maybe I'm just behind the times, but I just cannot figure out ISTs search system. I type in what I think is a fairly simple ask, and I get hundreds of results, 90% of which have nothing to do with what I'm actually looking for, and what I am looking for is buried in the 12th tab, three quarters of the way down the page. Why IST, why??
The layout on desktop for IST is different. I tried mobile and I couldn't even get a page. Glad they are making some improvements though.
For searching, I've been trying to use the Product Code. These are all unique and it takes you to the exact product. You just have to know it ahead of time.

Looks like the desktop page has changed too. Pretty much like the mobile page from this morning, as far as layout goes.

Definitely frustrating. Sometimes I will search by writer or artist which helps to whittle things down.

What's crazy is that they actually list the ISBN or UPC with the book's description. But it's not searchable, like you said.
Quick poll:
When you read an omnibus that collects multiple books (not just a single series), like the Wolverine Omnibus, do you add all of those individual books into your GR "read" or do you just put in the Omnibus? For example, I could go in and find a TPB listing for Weapon X, Kitty Pryde and Wolverine, and mark those as read in addition to the Omnibus itself.
I'm thinking more along the lines of accurate recording stories I've read as opposed to just trying to increase the number of books I've read.

I got on GR way too late, so I don't do either. I'd probably only put the actual omnibus though. If I wanted to catch up, I'd have to update over 2000 books. My collection is too big... Don't tell my ex-wife I said that.

Back when I read the Teen Titans Silver Age Omnibi, I went and marked the two Archives volumes, plus the b/w Showcase Presents as read, since all that material was included in the omni, which padded my books read for that reading challenge, but ended up feeling kinda skeevy so I changed them all back as unread. LOL.
TL;dr I just mark the omnibus or whatever as read.
I typically note the omnibus as read as well.

Nice pick ups. =)
Nice pick ups. =)

They popped on CGN real early this morning and I was able to grab the DM variant.

Ok, unnecessary freak out, sorry about that. Refreshed my page at 3:05 and the dm variant was there again, which I bought. Maybe I tried to purchase too quickly? Both versions came up immediately right at 3:00 when I refreshed the page but removed the first go around. Weird.
Good news - I was able to process my IST order in about 7 minutes. I only wanted one book, the DM variant of the Thanos Infinity Saga Omnibus. Vastly prefer the DM cover. However, it did take some doing as it showed up and initially told me it wasn't available and I had to refresh the page multiple times before it would let me add the book into my cart. It disappeared from my cart once but I went back and was able to add it back in.
Edit: Sounds like we had similar circumstances Noelbeast. Glad it worked out for both of us. :)

So the new stuff doesn’t appear in the front page anymore with the new layout? In other words, if I didn’t know what came out I’d have to manually search?

Yeesh. I don’t need those brief moments of stress in my life. Same, glad for both of us.
New & hot tech releases: understandable. But new comics & omnis? Haha

Clicking on the new release tab seems like the best bet. I do see some of the new releases now posted on the front page but the lately the entries under the tab populates first.
The omnibus volumes available today seem to still be available.

There are actually a fair amount of things out there that can sell out on release with a scramble to buy on a web site. Screen prints and limited print run books are a couple others I've dabbled in.

Site was slow for the first five minutes then sped up. Only quibble with the new design is I had to click the cart icon to see what my total was, as opposed to the old layout where the total was updated when something was added.
Still kinda perturbed about the search function like Jeff mentioned a few days ago. Oh well.
Can someone please clue me in on DCBS shipping. I’ve done two orders via preorder and each one has books scattered over months. I understand that you can choose standard, 2x month or weekly.
Will DCBS ship them out monthly as they come or will they hold all books within the same order until all can be shipped out together?

Also curious about this, but accepting risk and just sending in the orders. The cost savings are just too big to ignore.. and I'm not in a terrible hurry for anything that's coming up. I've got Marvel Unlimited and DC U, so worst come to worst, I'll read them digitally before they get here.
Looks like there was a stealth (unannounced) reprint of Johns' JSA Omnibus vol 2. The out of print book has been trending around $150/$200 and you should be able to find it under $100 now.

I've considered getting I think it's Vol 3 with Eaglesham's art. I just didn't grow up with those characters so don't really have a connection with them. Cool that they are reprinting though.

For anyone who is interested, I put together a collector's guide for Fantastic Four hardcovers:

I'm pretty sure I'm missing a few OHCs so let me know if you are aware of any. There's some confusion about how many volumes there have been (with Marvel constantly restarting) and I'm still working that out.
I haven't read it and maybe it isn't any good, but it seems the Walt Simonson run would make a good candidate for an omnibus.

But, yeah, just been looking at FF stuff lately and what I need to fill in some gaps. Big help. Thanks!

Near Mint Condition had an interview with Max from CGN yesterday. I thought it was an interesting look into that business (they sponsor NMC). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9lqf...
And my order from Tuesday of this week with IST has shipped, which is weird because my order from last week hasn't. Huh. Just thought it was odd.

Back in September when the Heroes Reborn: The Return omni dropped, I bought another book the week after and it shipped before The Return. Doesn’t always seem to make sense, but I have not complaints really.
